I remember her breakthrough album well in the 80s. I saw her in concert and she just owned the stage. I'm so happy she got everything she wanted in her life after a rough start. My condolences to her family her husband.

Her drive to move on, her perseverance to raise lkes kids from his first wife, her success without Ike says it all! No woman should put up physical abuse from men. She was credited for the faith & strength on leaving Ike, by being persistent taking care of those boys, then keeping her image alive as Tina Turner!

I was born in the 80s and her life and songs I listened to growing up, along with many songs from the 80s and 90s. She lived a full life and her latter was truly greater than her past.

I had the opportunity to see her live and she was incredible. She OWNED the stage and the audience of 25,000 was captivated for 2 hours. One of the best performances I’ve ever seen.

She visited my city Varanasi, India in 2004 to prepare for her role in Hollywood's late filmmaker Ismail Merchant's for movie "The Goddess"
