The world shows you mansions, super cars, & yachts … But THIS .. this is truly someone living the dream. What an beautiful place, the art potential has zero limitations 🥺
wow, the props are amazing. I thought the rotten dragon kiosk was an actual beverage dispenser that had been set dressed, and I could tell the bottle scanner was practical, but had no idea how you made or sculpted it. the robot puppet was also amazing, it looked like it was made of a bunch of old 8mm cameras. I'm really excited to see more props, sets, and practical effects blended into the excellent animations. ep 6 was incredible, thanks so much for putting your time and creativity into continuing the series.
So what was the initial reaction like? "Hey guys I'm gona buy this compound in the woods so we can shoot our Si-Fi urban 3D cyberpunk movies. You in?" "You are crazy, man."
Duuuuude Where have you been all these years?! Those lazy tutorials make me wanna jump back to blender Amazingly simplified, super-compressed info Love it!
Holy craaap, you guys have been busy! It's amazing to see all this cool stuff. I think this made me more excited for new Dynamo than the actual episode, your studio looks like an incredible place to work in. Also props on the props, I assumed most of the effects and sets were CG and greenscreen.
I'm seriously your new biggest fan. I could watch your lazy tutorials for days. What you've got here feels like paradise. Me and my bros have a film studio that we geek out in and make short films, but you've taken it to the next level. You're a talented dude. I love it.
this was great, all the things you pulled together to make this happen.. actually what you did is like a dream of mine, to combine 3d skills and film skills to put together something. this is an inspiration to me. Thanks for sharing.
I seriously love Ian hubert.... You are so amazing man... Huge respect to you... You are one of the reasons I started blender.... I am a beginner though...
This literally made your already amazing videos even more amazing. I loved seeing the passion and hard work y'all put in to make that compound a place of imagination! Keep up the great work!!!
I've just started with compositing green screen footage into Unreal ... and I look at your work in Blenderand it is SO inspiring! I've done one or two simple things in blender ... a commemorative coin mockupfor work and the "Hello World" of 3d modeling ... a donnut and coffee cup scene. That's it ... this comment had no real purpose other than gushing over you amazing work. :)
I've been a huge fan of yours since I started with blender a year ago. Your tutorials have been super helpful (and funny). It blew my mind when you said you live in Port orchard. I moved to Tacoma about a year ago, I always thought people in this industry would have to live in California. Cool to know there are PNW people working in film
I just learned about your channel yesterday and I love it! Great content and a great personality. You remind me of one of my biggest inspirations, Adam Savage.
This is great to seee how "quick" but clever all these effects are! Just modelling that kitchen traditionally could have taken the entire time budget :D
That part where you’re all having dinner... how many of them were murdered after dessert? So Midsommar. This is all pretty incredible though, I didn’t know you made any practical stuff. My only complaint was the vending machine and phone booth needed more grundge. Oh and that monorail.... “we are now arriving at the station, prepare to be utterly smashed into the ceiling” 😂😅
@@IanHubert2 Ahh. I can't wait to see Skywatch! Oh, by the way Ian. I have this Canadian friend who I showed your stuff to. He used to do VFX for Supernatural, and he wants to help on with the VFX on DYNAMO. Do you think there's a possibility of this? :)
Very interesting. I wanted to find out more at your website shown at the end but it's only showing an 'index of' message. You may want to look into that. Still, bravo for your work.
I know the feeling. I watched my group of friends fall off one by one. Long shot I would love to help. Would be nice to be surrounded by great minds. Keep up the great work.
Replying three years after watching the video but... The painting at 5:56 is the same as the sticker on the wine bottle at 7:00 Anyway I love your lazy tutorials Ian.
2 hours of dynamo... so tantalizing. There used to be photos from a dynamo shoot in a national park on the old robotsoup website, and one image in particular is seared into my brain... it showed snails crawling on a laptop lcd screen. I'm still hoping we'll get to see that. especially after the old website was lost.
man WTF I LOVE YOU. you are a frackin' GENIUS. I do love your style, your mood, your attitude and DO LOVE YOUR LAZY TUTS. (had to add this latter part as my wife was getting jealous....) I am a 3D noob and a VFX w@nk3r but create a 4-months-long treasure hunt for my 30yrso wife birthday and started doing some idiotic stuffs... bought a green screen set, started keying and doing fun stuffs with Adobe AE (totally from scratch)... do you believe you will ever release some lazy tuts about VFX + compositing in a serie? I love your style and find your approach is perfect: as an artist and a professional you do know very well where to go in depth and where to simplify, on my side I would find vital to start from the "simplify" side as I am working on useless Macbook 16"... but I have several shots on green screen which I'dl like to work within BLENDER which I do love as mush as I am now loving yoU! :D please note: this comment is not for sex, this is for love! save our poor noob souls!
so what is the difference between this Dynamo and the one in 2012? and for this features, do you use cycle for rendering or evvee?? cause the intro was done in evve i believed, but you also mentioned cycle in this video...
Dynamo Dream takes place in the same canon as Dynamo. But they're non-continous, as in they're not necessarily direct sequels to one another. But he did say he's moved some plot points of Dynamo into Dream. It's sort of like a soft reboot but also more of a side series and parallel thing. Going by the About apge on the Patreon, it sounds like he still wants to complete the other series, but his main focus atm is Dream. I think it's best to think of it as Dream being a spin-off but also important to the continunity, but not necessarily a story where everything that is there has to do with everything in the other series. He also hinted that Dream may take place in the past, though, going by his video on animating "humanity", where he talked about the 3D scan of Scott Hampson wearing his Axle Rubix costume and walking around outside the Waterworks market, stating that this can't be canon as Rubix "is currently trapped in Shadow State Five".
Hey Ian, just a quick question, I know your super busy so if you don't have time to answer it thats fine, but what font do you use for dynamo and this video? Thanks. If anyone else knows please let me know, thanks!
