- Finding the best suspension setup for my F80 M3 has been developing since my first suspension, the KW HAS Kit. As you saw in previous videos, I wasn't the biggest fan of that suspension and eventually installed the BIlstein B16 Coilovers.

I had springs on my F30 and F80 and wasn't a fan of the ride quality. For sure coilovers are the way to go
Great vid as always dude. Your honest videos on the bilsteins helped me decide on the kw ddc's for my f80. It completely transformed my car for the better. The ride quality is still super nice. The car is planted and the steering is more direct. It is my daily and my family have never complained about the ride being harsh. I totally agree with you that if you have no plans of selling the car and have edc why delete if you can afford to get the right setup.
Exactly Rico, why get rid of the EDC when you paid for it. Unless it's not a priority. You definitely went with the right suspension for sure 😉..hint hint lol. Appreciate you always supporting the channel

Nice to hear what your thoughts are on different suspension setups, my guess is you might try ohlins suspension I've heard a lot of good things about their coilovers. I'll be trying out springs first but if the ride quality isn't up to par will definitely be looking at coilover setups
If you plan on keeping the car longer than 2 years, I'd look into a coilover set. If I can do it again I'd skip the spring setup. This way it may save you some money with the installation and re-instillation

Since its your daily, I highly recommend the KW DDC. Its pricey but if you can find it slightly used, its worth it. I absolutely love the ride quality on them.
I have the ohlins RT on my f80. Unreal. Car is compliant and a weapon!!

Yeah the Bilstein b16 are definitely pricey. You'll love the next suspension for sure. 100% game changer. Or pocket changer lol 😆
So I ended up getting the Eibach V1 Euro Springs on my M3 since many of the other CS owners were using them and they came highly recommended. When I reverted the back to stock suspension, I realized how shitty the ride quality with lowering springs was. Don’t get me wrong, they’re aesthetically pleasing, but if you want stance and ride quality you go with a proper coilover setup. I’m going to be waiting for custom solutions from Moton, JRZ, Ohlin, or the KW Clubsports for the G80 to fine tune for tracking along with giving the perfect street ride quality and height.

Had the HAS kit on my last e92. If anything was a bit more harsh than sloppy. But coils for sure are the way to go.
Yeah I've heard mixed reviews on the E9x platform. I sat in my buddies e92m3 with the HAS Kit and it felt ok. But on the f8x platform ....🥴

H&R adjustable lowering kit blew out my stock strut seals in about 2 months. The car had 6k miles on it. There was too much pressure on the stock struts.
Yeah that's one thing people need to understand that your stock struts will take a major beating. It's always good for the short term but long-term you should always look into possibly getting coilovers

Hey bro..do you experience any noise/sound when using this B16? Especially when you trying to park and move the steering alot.
No I haven't but I did read on the forums that has happened with other owners. Are you running camber plates also ?
@@TheDailyDriven No camber plate..stock brake with 20 inch rim. I kept getting noises when moving the steering while slowly driving.
Go tractive suspension. Hands down the best suspension for this platform! F1 tech on the street.

It was a bit rough and eventually I went to LW DDC coilovers which road amazing.
@@TheDailyDriven is the ride quality as good as stock and how low did you lower your car? I’m done with eibach with the struts and shocks. Over bumps bumpy roads and imperfections in the road my car is a little bumpy. I’m a 58 year old hot rodder that once my car lowered 1.4 f 1.4 b with stock ride quality, it has to be something coilover something that give you stock ride quality
The KW DDC coilovers feel amazing for a daily usage. I actually made a full comparison of both coilvers in a video here along with the install video. Should give you a better understanding
