Finally, I have completed the set of Danger 5 runs. Without you, it would have been impossible. There are so many small tidbits you have to know to make a run come together. Through your tutorials, you made a game with a handful of hours far far more interesting for far longer. As to this character, I didn't much like him. I was trying for an elemental burn with an engineering base which was doing awesome, but didn't have enough defense to survive the boss. So went many a run. I managed to scrape by with a fraction of the stats, but finished out with hardly any damage. Never mind, it's done. Thanks again for all your help in making it possible.
This character has a very specific but insane gimmick. If you get a recycling machine, you sell weapons FOR MORE THAN THEY COST. Yeah, it gets ridiculous pretty fast. Hence, the name, Arms Dealer.
Haha, I didn't even think of that! I guess the cost of rerolls prevents it from going infinite, but that's still very cool whenever you see a weapon you don't want!
One more suggestion: Maybe you could show the stats of those economy and damage items after the run, so you can see if they were actually worth it. Maybe even do it during the run for the sausage etc
20:01 -> The 95% discount is applied to the base weapon tag. The total price increase each wave: a basic slingshot in Shop 1 cost less than the same slingshot in shop 18. The extra money you pay the later you get the weapon is not reduced by 95% .... That's my guess
Yeah, something's weird with the math I think - the wiki claims the cost for an item should be "Final Price = (Base_Price + Wave + (Base_Price * 0.1 * Wave)) * Shop_Price" but if Shop_Price was 0.05 for the arms dealer I think most weapons would be cheaper by at least a couple materials, so I think the discount is for some reason being applied elsewhere in the calculation or there's some oddities with the rounding. Doesn't matter too much either way but it stood out to me during the run!
Great guide, thanks to it I easily passed on the first try. The best thing I learned here is not to be stingy with weapons, in order to receive more materials during the wave (this applies to other characters as well), and elemental weapons are really effective!
Arms dealer was always the most anti-fun character for me. I felt that it is the most RNG dependant character. However, I didn't lock weapons in the shop systematically as you did. Which is an excellent trick. So, I might give the arms dealer another chance.
Yeah the locking trick helps a lot, you can *mostly* avoid terrible weapon sets, though as you saw I got unlucky a couple times in the run (and spent all my money accidentally at least once). That's why I like having alien eyes etc so much, it really reduces the risk I think.
Loads of regen and high hp aside, I could *never* get away with zero armor and negative dodge lol. Last shop --> nuclear launcher, nuclear launcher, nuclear launcher LOL. Very nice run
Wow, the elemental build is no joke. I got lucky and found the elemental to engineering item. Could not kill the end boss due to not having 4 nuke laumchers but everything was dying across the whole mao so I had very few enemies to dodge. Thx
Not yet, but that's a good idea! I do have a guide on which characters are best to win with first for their item unlocks though, if you haven't seen that one :)
Yeah, Arms Dealer was by far the most annoying when I played for D5. I didn't like that the start has a lot to do with luck and how things go. I did not enjoy Arms Dealer at all.
I feel like I got pretty lucky on my run. I found a scared sausage in the first shop and I leaned into it hard. Basically became a dot build. Found all 4 sausages. I did get unlucky finding a lot of ele dmg and general damage though. Had 2 elite waves where I could not kill the elites. But I could still clear enemies like I had a case of the beer farts.
I’m pretty sure standing still with the jousting lance actually reduce YOUR total overall damage by 10%, not just the damage of that weapon. But you obviously had enough dmg to mitigate that😅
I kinda was lucky with this char , won on first try , the hard 1 for me was 1 armed... died min 50 times =)), i always tried to change from axe to shuriken mid game , and never worked for me... then when i finally won , i just changed from axe to shredder, and that was my lucky build
Hey what about a mash up of your fails Ceph? It wouldn't suprise me if you are thinking "what fails you fool!" But you must nod off or just get unlucky amma right. Have some real time commentary and some overall commentary about how wounded you were or whatever. Thank you Ceph
interesting design, but i kinda hate this class. it feels awful and unfun to play. i get it, its supposed to be a thirll if u get what u want and stuff but it feels like this class is pretty luck dependent

GENIUS!!!! 🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿🦾🦾💰

Good idea! I used to make more of a point of showing stats but have kind of fallen out of the habit. Great reminder!

Same. Last time I played it, I lost because I only got lvl 1 weapons for a horde wave.

Fairy helped a lot with this build, the regen from that was really useful. The low armor was really risky though! Thanks!
Insane last round. Melted right through the bosses.

That last round was bonkers 😁
No kidding, so many nukes!
Do you have an "Easiest way to unlock X" series of guides? I think it'd be pretty dope

That was a fun run!
Thanks! Yeah this was a good one, arms dealer is always cool
I wonder what weapon you’ll start with.

22:18 are you good man ?
?
You can pause the game and see what damage your weapons have done right at the end of rhe wave

4 Nuclear Launchers on wave 20 lmao dude go play the lottery
nice potato

I enjoy arms dealer
This character SUCKS
