I give you credit Elaine. Thank you for sharing. Your job sounds interesting but it almost seems too much to have to deal with…the pain and worry is palpable.

That was interesting and helpful, I thought all buildings in California had to be ADA accessible even doors should have a button swing

Honestly I thought all buildings had a button swing too but I must work in an older building because it doesn’t. 😞 The security guard can help with the door but I leave later and they usually aren’t there. Thank you so much for watching and your comment! Hugs! ❤️

I also worked as a legal secretary before I retired (defense litigation). I found it to be a stressful, time-sensitive job that also wore me out. I didn’t know at the time that I had SLE. I feel for you and so admire your tenacity. Would going out on disability not be enough to cover your medical expenses?

You are so right about the mental stress and time sensitivity of the career. The stress doesn’t help. I also work defense so you totally get it! When I’ve taken leaves I’ve used short term disability. They cover medical up to 3 months. I did take a SSDI class recently and it looks like if I can keep working until I’m 50, disability may be an option. Thank you for your comment! I appreciate you being here! ❤️

Ugh I get the struggle: I have Lupus, and every day is a chore, really... I am photosensitive and it's just an extra layer of challenge.... I was thinking, I noticed that you are wearing a procedural mask, and not an N95... Do you find the procedural mask protects you well in general? I am also on chemo for my illness, and I often feel like I need stronger masks for peace of mind, but they are always less comfortable... *_* Anyhow, I am sending you a couple of my own spoons in warm thoughts, and wish you the very best with the course of your disease.

What a great question and I should have mentioned it before, I have some lung involvement so I sometimes find breathing through the thicker masks more difficult especially in hot weather. I wear these medical grade masks (they are McKesson brand) during the summer and in warmer areas. I like to use Vogmasks during the winter months. I’ve used Vogmasks for years. If I struggle to much trying to breath, I notice it sets off my Dysautonomia. That’s a recent realization for me. I do understand the anxiety about staying protected. I’m sending you spoons back! Thank you for watching! Hugs, Warrior! ❤️
