I love this video. But one of my biggest peeves is when someone says a part of me is lazy; probably since I struggle with such fatigue.
Our brains are not lazy, they are overworked. When your body is sick, your brain is *working* to heal, and it is the most energy hungry muscle/organ in the body. That is one thing we all need to realize; our bodies and brains are working more than those who are not chronically I'll. That leads us to have less energy available for other activities, but it doesn't mean that any part of us is lazy. We are just working harder on a less visible level. 💓

That makes a lot of sense why I feel exhausted physically and mentally after work and just want to lay there and do nothing, even fun things

I’m currently struggling with this and have 20 dollars because I’ve lived off my savings for a year.. I applied to almost every remote job but heard nothing back, most of my experience is physical jobs like security which I can’t do due to my chronic pain.. feeling lost is an understatement

Same here... 4.5 years in chronic pain, undiagnosed still waiting for tests. Can you do part time-full time minimum wage if you can't find anything else? For example some cashier jobs would let you sit down esp. as an accommodation. Just throwing it out there. I do cashier and it takes a lot out of me but I was on sick leave and just returned. Maybe food delivery? Anyway I hear you, keep taking care of yourself.

I really like your tips and ideas I have not been able to work for almost 2yrs and having to live with family because I was not able to take care of things at my old place or do the regular tasks it's been tough. I want to share my previous jobs I worked at a group home for disabled adults that were high functioning and another house that was for recovery as well and was able to rest most of the time in a chair and while doing paperwork and it was good pay. My last job was working at an abused women's shelter and I was able to sit and rest most of the time as well between few tasks so it was very reasonable physically for sure. Just thought I would share.

I love this video, thank you! I was wondering if you would consider doing a video about how you stay positive when you can’t sleep or don’t sleep well. All I ever see online are videos about how bad it is for our body to not sleep well, but lack of quality sleep is really common in chronic illness and I just don’t see it talked about as much which is interesting to me.

I am 23 and the past year my joints have been dislocating and I’ve never been so fatigued in my life…I’m more than 100% confident that I have Elhers Danlos syndrome. My mom had it, but she didn’t experience symptoms until later in life (without the dislocating). I feel horrible about my boyfriend supporting us because it’s really unfair to see him work so hard while I’m stuck in bed in pain or moving around like I’m in my 80. We are definitely not making it in the financial world living paycheck to paycheck or increasing our debt…. I’m at my wits and looking for remote work does anyone experience have experienced something similar like this and how did you find remote work!? ❤
