Yeah! You're back! I'm so sorry that you're strugling, but its so nice to hear your voice again. I was checking several times a day to see if you had written anything new and was getting concerned... but no pressure! Its amazing to me that you are able to do this vlog at all. Please take special care of yourself.
You’re so incredibly sweet! 🥰 Thank you for your comments and for checking in on me too! I’m glad you are here and I’m thankful you have shared your journey with me. I’m sending you extra strength this season! I’ll be back soon. Hugs, Warrior! ❤️
I feel like we’re going through a difficult time together since my methotrexate was stopped due to elevated liver enzymes. Hydroxychloroquine and the biologic infusions are not enough to keep my lupus and Sjogren’s stable. There is no end in sight because we have already tried everything else available. Years of pain medication has eroded my stomach so no help from pain meds either. My rheumatologist just keeps apologizing for not being able to do more, but I understand that he’s just trying to protect me from a worse fate from liver damage. A rock and a hard place is where we often find ourselves, isn’t it? I look forward to the video where you say you have gotten through this latest episode and are doing well. Your channel serves an important service to the autoimmune community. I know it takes some spoons to do what you do and I appreciate the effort you put into it.
I’m so sorry to hear you are struggling too. It’s truly frustrating. I’m glad you have a good Rheumatologist trying to help you. I’m sending you good vibes, extra spoons and prayers for better days ahead. Hopefully when I get to say I’ve made it through this episode, you are in a better place too. I’m rooting for us! Thank you for your encouragement and support! I’m so happy you are here. Hugs, Warrior! ❤️
Just saying hello and to send you some gentle support from across the Atlantic. I’m new to your channel and it was so good to find you. I have severe RA for many years and have never been in remission. I’ve tried everything the NHS can throw at me as well as diet and exercise but I’m still suffering. Finding fellow RA people who have a positive but realistic presence on the internet makes me feel like 8m not alone in this journey. I’m thankful I’ve found your channel and I wish you many extra spoons in your Christmas Stocking this year ❤
You definitely aren’t alone! I’m so happy you are here. My rheumatologist always encourages me by saying new RA meds are on the horizon, I truly hope our cure or at least a remission med comes for our community soon. Thank you for your kind thoughts! I’m sending you extra spoons this holiday season as well. Hugs, Warrior! ❤️
I’m so glad you got to visit with your family over the holiday. It’s always great for the soul. The fatigue you talk about has been a struggle for me forever I believe. I have always told my doctors that I could sleep until I die. It did get better when I started taking HRT this year, however because I’m 62 and still have my ovaries, I had to also take testosterone, and it made me feel starving 24/7. I was gaining weight rapidly, so I quit it, and the extreme fatigue came right back, sad to say. The Cimzia has helped tremendously with the pain, to which I’m so grateful for. My markers are on the high end of normal, but still within normal range. I’m going to say extra prayers for you Elaine. I’m hoping the new year brings you relief, and the energy that you so need my friend. 🙏🏻xox
Cimzia is a great med. I always liked it because the syringe was so RA friendly - easy to use. I’m glad it’s been helping you. Yay! Hopefully, in the coming months it starts to help with your fatigue. 🙏🏼 Thank you for the prayers! I truly appreciate them. I’m sending extra spoons back your way! Give your kitties a rub behind the ears from me. 🙂 Hugs, my friend! ❤️
So glad to see you and so sorry to hear how much you are struggling. Will keep you in my prayers that you get some relief and can enjoy the upcoming holidays. I'm with you in spirit my Auto Immune Sister 😊💜🙏
Thank you for the encouragement! 🥰 I’m sending you extra strength back during this holiday season. Hopefully we are all blessed with extra spoons in the new year! Thank you for being here! Hugs, friend! ❤️
Thank you for being here and for your encouragement! I promise not to stay away so long in the future. Sending you extra blessings this holiday season! Hugs, friend! ❤️
Hope you feel better soon. Just curious. Did you have a viral infection in the last six months? I see you (and your partner) out and about wearing a medical mask, but not an N-95. Viral infections are being implicated in triggering autoimmunity, but could also make existing autoimmune diseases flare.
Thank you! I haven’t had a viral infection lately but I know exactly what you are talking about. I had a serious case of Influenza A years ago and it spiraled my autoimmune disease out of control following recovering and had lasting affects for years. My husband has a functioning immune system so he only wears a mask while traveling for me (and he wears a mask to medical appointments for our community). I don’t wear an N-95 because I have some lung issues and I find anything more than medical masks are extremely difficult for me to breathe in. I have an upcoming pulmonologist appointment in the new year. Along with autoimmune disease, I have primary immune deficiency so my immunologist has asked me to stay masked. I don’t mind it. Thank you for the questions and comment! I’m sending you extra spoons! ❤️
