Is it really stealing? Nah, it’s taking inspirations from. Stealing would be like having a 8 gym battle 2 bit clone of their older games. Legit the only thing this game has in common with pokemon is it has monsters you can catch. This game has its own standing and already its own fan base. It’s so fun and each start feels fresh. While modern pokemon games feel so stale, like each play through is the same.
"Then theres this one Anubis, which is very clearly lucario" while showing a pretty stereotypical design of the Egyptian god (drumroll please) Anubis, just put into the palworld art style. Saying mamorest is just a ripoff of mamoswine is ridiculous, Mamoswine is litterally just a mammoth, while mamorest actually builds on a mammoth design. the only real similarity is the name and they both have tusks.
If you're having fun with the game, why do you care? Because Game Freak might lose money? They've had it coming for years of laziness. Sorry, decades of laziness. Pokemon was always in it to sell toys and the games were an ad.
As a gamer from the 80's now over 40 years old, don't sweat designs and concepts clearly borrowed/inspired from other properties because every game does it. Pokémon wasn't the first game to raise animals and battle others, it was just the most successful. Checkout Monster Rancher or Digimon, Pokémon was clearly inspired aspects of Tomigotchi. Same thing for Arkham franchise and Spider-Man using same type of combat, Uncharted and The Last of Us and thank Resident Evil 4 and Gears of War for creating modern third person gaming. So on that note Nintendo nor anyone else is going to do anything to Palworld except what Palworld did and launch survival/taming games and make a new sub-genre. Also if games with slave labor was a serious issue the Conan and Black Desert Online are doing way more damage than Palworld 😂
Uh oh this seems to be a badly received video take huh. But no they are not "stealing" per say. Just taken "inspiration". Like let's be real, is there anything original left on this planet? You could only design a mamooth or fox to a certain degree until it doesn't look like itself anymore. So while yes, the dev cleary taken "inspiration" from multiple game they atleast made a fun game. And that's the important thing too since this game is price around 30 dollar but while it is early access still have more things to do compared to something like starfield. These just show most people are just fed up with the gaming landscape nowadays especially triple a game. Imagine if this thing release a decade or two ago. It might not gain the current popularity cause while the game is good enough on it's own, if compared to older actually high quality games then yeah people are gonna be more sceptical cause competition is fierce.
I agree! I very much have had fun with it (more than I did with starfield lol) and I very much enjoy the game, but it’s also very clearly taken massive “inspiration” from Nintendo games
@@ashortginger What about inspiration from Mythos or works in the public domain like Alice in Wonderland? I mean is it wrong to take a sheep and add it into your game? If yes, Nintendo did it twice. Jormuntide is heavily based off of Jormungandr from Norse Mythology mixed with a classic sea serpant look. Anubis is literally a stylized version of the Egyptian god Anubis. Also, look at Fenglope, you probably think that's a direct copy of Cobalion and yeah it looks similar but it also really looks like a stylized Qilin. Inspiration is something that happens in a lot of games including pokemon, Digimon, Monster Rancher and many many more. tbh palworld is in my opinion what pokemon s/v or pokemon legends could have been well obviously not exactly the same but palworld does openworld pokemon better then fucking pokemon itself

Is see this game as lost potential for Pokémon. This is a company knowing what people would like and doing it and there is nothing wrong about it. If Pokémon wants to beat this game, then make a MMO.
I haven't played the game but I can tell you're just trying to farm content. Tell me you haven't played very many non mainstream games without telling you haven't played many games. This video literally screams I haven't played anything older than 2017. The creatures or Pals look like every other Animated creature you would find in Japan from animes, games, and even stuff animals. Capturing creatures, people, or whatever it is with a capsule of some sort is also very common in many taming like games, also must common form is a ball (because it fits well into the hands of characters) Breath of the Wild has many many Similar Shadow of the Colossus, Journey just to name some that it was clearly inspired from. Large tower waypoints are extremely common because they peak human interest naturally to go and explore. The shrine sound is so close because it uses the same four-note ascending motif most commonly used when collecting items in other games.
I mean the indie company this was made from has some history with using ai art in their games, also something about the CEO having nfts i think So saying that this is plagiarism is not that weird
i guess you haven't played conan and ark and experienced that the whole concept and crafting and survival aspect is copy paste with a reskin lol, and there is no personality in this game its fun but it does nothing new or different from slapping 4/5 different ips into one basically
It's like this game just took the most popular games in the last several years and mashed them into one. They took parts from Pokemon, Fortnite, Zelda, and Valheim. It's like an abomination from parts of all those games. Personally I'm not interested in playing it but can see how these elements would appeal to gamers.
I enjoy Pokémon and I am enjoying the rip off. The gen 9 games are bad games that sold well. Hopefully gamefreak steals some ideas from Palworld and makes gen 10 a banger. Legends Arceus was a step in the correct direction, I hope they continue down that path.
Very click bait video as you clearly don’t know what you are talking about. You can’t hold sway over animals and Palworld using an anime design for its creatures there are bound to be similarities. I would say it’s more close that they took inspiration from Pokemon in that they incorporated the Pals elements into their design. You guys are simping hard for GameFreak right now.
If Pokémon games were still fun or the company didn’t phone in everything, I would care. Hopefully this will wake them up, because this game is so much more fun over the lazy crap they give us.
Unfortunately I dont think Pokemon can compete with this they have to stay in their lane because of the rating and age of their fans. Team rocket simulator FTW
it is Ark & Conan at its core, with the dinos and tames as pokemon styled creatures / cartoon graphics, the game has no personality outside it being a rip off, its fun its cool but its only because its different, get a pokemon mod on ark its literally the same game, 🤷

The difference is none of those other examples directly traced body parts from other series' monster designs like some Pals did.
