@@templedrake6890doesn’t matter. The prosecution gets to rebut his testimony and he’s said some very bad things about her that they will definitely make him say on the stand. Also, most of what he knows about Sarah and Jorge’s relationship is HEARSAY from Sarah and won’t even be allowed in. Unless he saw Jorge hurt her, he can’t say what Sarah told him about the relationship. And it’s my understanding that most if not all of what he knows is based on hearsay and not fact.

Wasn't Brian Boone the one to tell the police detectives that Sarah Boone got violent when she started to drink?
Wasn't Brian Boone the one to tell the police detective that Sarah Boone attacked him many times when she got drunk.
Wasn't Brian Boone the one to tell police that Sarah Boone exhibited the violent behavior before she met Jorge?
Weren't the police officers the ones that kept asking Sarah Boone why she never called them when Jorge violated his restraining order countless times. This was on body cam.
Jorge had no money and clearly Sarah Boone never loved him as demonstrated the morning after he passed. So why would she allow him to stay and batter her?
Battered wife syndrome. Good luck with that 🤣🤣🤣

It turns out that Brian did NOT hire her a lawyer !!! Her second lawyer who served her for 2 years was Pro Bono!!!
Also Brian and Sarah are partway through suspended family court proceedings as Brian stopped paying her Alimony. That alimony proceeding is on hold pending the result of her criminal trial!

If she is allowed to use battered spouse syndrome, it will be a slap in the face for truly battered women. I was never able to get to a phone to call 911. I packed my children up in the middle of the night on a rare occasion that he had been drinking and was sleeping very deeply, (any other time if I rolled over he would wake up) and ran a couple states away. I find it interesting that Sarah was able to call her husband when she knew that things were about to escalate. First, it shows that Jorge was not unpredictable. Second, what other battered spouse would be allowed to call her ex to come over when things are heated. And if things never got physical in front of the kid it might mean that either Jorge had some restraint(then Sarah would want the kid more often to stay over, or to protect the kid she would not want him over at all) or it was up to Sarah to decide if something is going to escalate to be physical.
Also... what battered wife is allowed the drunk calls to her ex at night. As Brian says it was pretty normal. And he presents them as some ramblings, not desperate calls for help that are done in the secret.

Sarah’s neighbor, Vincent, will testify to the HUGE fight Sarah and Jorge had on the second floor of their townhome during the evening of that fateful night. In the midst of all the screaming, everything went silent for a while. It is believed Sarah took her son’s baseball bat and knocked Jorge out with a blow to the head causing their knock down/drag out altercation to suddenly end. It would certainly explain the blunt force trauma to Jorge’s head found during his autopsy. It is believed, while Jorge was unconscious, Sarah retrieved the suitcase from the closet and stuffed Jorge into it, zipped it up, and sent the suitcase hurtling down the stairs. Vincent will also testify to the sound of something so heavy, the walls shook, going down the staircase just before Sarah started filming. During her interrogation, Sarah could not explain why the suitcase was initially upside down, but that was just how it landed. I believe Vincent’s testimony will put an end to the BSS defense.

The basis for battered partner syndrome is FEAR - Fear of Receiving Imminent Threat of Mortal Wounding Based on Previous Violence. That Whole Mocking Him While He Was Begging For Hours To Be Let Out of the Suitcase - - Her Saying all those come backs - - that's what I feel like when you do things to me etc - - - Soooooo Incriminating. Her Husband Is a Good Regular Guy that Cleaned Up After Her and Continued to Help Her as She Over Drank and Got Into a Most Unhealthy and Harmful Relationship - - She and He Were Both Taking Out Things On Each Other and They Each Got Violent When Drinking - - very dangerous. Her Husbands Comment That She Had Punched Slapped and Clawed at Him - - Scratching His Neck at One Point Is AWFUL for Sarah. Because This is the EVEN TEMPERED - - TAKING CARE OF THE SON ALMOST 3/4 TIME GOOD GUY ! She can't have it both ways. He is a Witness to Both Sarahs Abuse and Her Receipt of Abuse. I Feel for Her and Cannot Stand Her at the Same Time. But She Left That Man Stuck In a Tiny Suitcase and Never Gave Him Relief or Took His Plea For Help Seriously - - -Because She Was Drunk ? ? Maybe - - I see that as her ONLY CHANCE OF DEFENSE - - Not Intentional Homocide. BUT THEN SHE WANTS TO DOWN PLAY THE ROLE OF HER DRINKING PROBLEM - - An Addicts Predicament = She Still Cannot Face All The Damage Her Drinking Did To Others -- - That is ALSO A VERY BAD LOOK. No Battered Persons Defense Will Succeed in My Estimation. I believe she is going to be found guilty of 2nd degree murder or similar related charge.

Did the police department recruit someone from the high school cheerleading squad to conduct this interview? Jesus, she sounds like someone from the mean girls movie.

I did listen to the podcast with your wife this morning. I really enjoyed it and the way that it was structured. You both did a wonderful job.

I honestly don't think it will help her case more than it could hurt it. Sarah is probably the one who wants him to testify because she thinks he will back her up.

Its fine for 250lb Brian to not feel threatened by Sarah but Jorge was 103 LBS!! THATS ONE HELL OF A DIFFERENCE!!

I’m surprised Peter didn’t know who James of Mentor Lawyer Deep dive true crime is! He actually met with Sarah a few times… also he was the first one to cover the Adelsons case. He’s excellent

Woah woah woah SHE PUT HER KID IN A SUITCASE??
That shows a pattern of behavior that is concerning and would greatly diminish the chances of battered spouse syndrome

If my child were at my ex husband’s house and he phoned me clearly inebriated, I would hot foot it round there to bring the child home. 🙄

OCSD would have given Sarah the resource (business card probably) of Spouse Abuse Inc. which is a domestic violence shelter & 24 hour hotline in Orlando. The police would not have left Sarah without this information. Spouse Abuse also provides free legal advocacy in Court for women who need to get out of toxic relationships. A good question for the prosecution would be to ask why Sarah was unwilling to use this life saving resource. Instead, she paraded herself around the neighborhood showing off her wounds to people like Melissa, the property manager. I don’t understand why she begged for advice from people who were not the professionals in the DV field & refused to contact the very ones who were connected to the Violence Against Women Office in DC on a federal level.

Because she was the primary abuser but wanted to paint herself as the victim.

The video of Sarah chastising Jorge while zipped up in the suitcase - directly contradicts her new defence. She would’ve had a greater chance of being a free woman at THIS moment if she had accepted responsibility and shown genuine remorse about him dying. In that scenario, it’s easier to accept that it was UNINTENTIONAL.

Sarah Boone is toast based on what the ex says and what we KNOW for a fact. 1, She had him arrested 4 or 5 times for battery, she could have just as easily picked up the phone that night and had him arrested time no. 6, especially since she had him subdued in the suitcase - meaning she had ample time to wait for the cops to arrive since she was in no immediate danger. 2. She showed zero physical signs of having been battered during her interrogation right after the death. 3. She was NOT married to him, owned no property with him, and had no children with him. In fact, she was living the unfettered carefree life she wanted, so she has NO compelling reason for staying with the boyfriend and being subjected to abuse. In fact, hadn't they broken up at least once before, but she hooked up with him again? How bad could the abuse have been? And for all we know, the boyfriend might have been defending himself from her with the kitchen knife. Narcissistic batterers are generally control freaks and NEVER put themselves in the vulnerable position. A true batterer would never ever have contorted themself into a suitcase and let the person they were battering zip them in. NEVER! There may have indeed been abuse from both parties, but I believe it will be near impossible to paint Sarah as a victim. imo It's far more likely that SHE was the primary abuser. And WHY oh WHY do people insist on staying in abusive relationships, especially when their are no children or property involved?
