Hadn't seen this for years, but had to check it out again after hearing of Taylor's passing. His reaction to Joe's solo was just priceless. Missing you greatly. RIP Taylor.
I agree! I remembered that scene from years ago and had to look it up.. from about 6:50 to 7:50 shows just how true Taylor was to the music and even after all his great accomplishments he still was inspired by playing with the great ones!
@W 9797 if you don't like them, don't fucking listen. nobody needs your fuckin opinion anyway. go elsewhere with your reemed out, floppy asshole, asshole.
I will always admire Taylor geeking over Joe Walsh doing his guitar solo in this song. Like watching a kid just watch their idol play what they were meant to do in life. Gonna miss yah Taylor 🤘🏼
@@carolesimpson5626 watching this series back in 2014 was really the moment they moved into my Top 3 Bands of all time and why I love this song so much
6:50 When the music hits soul like warm water! Ya Ive had that..best drug ever...MUSIC. Sober as can be and cry like a baby ya man your soul has been touched..
Same thing I thought. Drumming was his favorite thing, biking was his second favorite thing. Also sad because it was he and Nate that didn’t really dig each other in the beginning, and they became so close.
Love, love this song. Very underrated if you ask me, the whole sonic Highways album is just brilliant. Today it’s been a week since Taylor’s death😢and the first time I have been able to listen to ant thing by the Foos. Why oh why does all the good ones go so young????? Bless his heart, sleep in peace Taylor, you were so loved by so many. Absolutely heartbroken❤️🩹
Gilberto Oliveira he was like a school boy who got all the sweets!! my favorite sonic highways song, although something from nothing is a real close second. something
This clip is just pricelesss. You cannot see the Sonic Highways documentary anywhere in the US in its entirety. Watching Taylor lay down his track and then grooving to the guitar solo, OMG... just a musician's musician💗💗💗💗💗🥁🥁🥁🥁🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I love Joe's look into the camera when he is receiving all the praise after one take and he just shrugs.... He can't understand what the fuss is about.
Hawk was coming unglued during Walsh's playing. It's fun to watch him get into it. He couldn't help himself ... he had to move. Enter Dave, packing a gun, looking like someone outta the Young Guns movie. Good stuff.
Wonder if they ever stare at each other and think to themselves.....”We are one of the BIGGEST bands in history”. My guess is.....no. They could care less. Love this band!
It was beautiful watching them, plus watching it in silence. Was like an unfinished canvas & now with Taylor’s unexpected passing, the scene is now just waiting for the perfect music to be played with it! 🎶🕊
As I watched this video for the first time, I’m thinking of how much I just love that men, no matter what age, are still boys at heart and bond so easily ❤️
I was just literally thinking about this song and then it magically popped up on my UA-cam feed…..God bless you Taylor Hawkins, and God speed. This album was and is, amazing.
chrislopez44 It's a well known trick, it's an image that changes depending on where you stand when you look at it. From some perspective, it looks like an ordinary girl, and from an other, the picture changes into a scary sort of exorcist girl. Pretty scary indeed when you don't know it. ^^
+chrislopez44 In the 1800's, there was a time where people would actually dress up and photograph people who had passed away to remember them by. It looks fucking creepy. They often have white eyes, that picture looks like a post mortem portrait of a girl.
This song has always been my favorite FF song and I have always associated this song with Taylor vibin to Joe’s guitar, so much so that every time I hear the song, I start vibin as well. Now even more so. RIP Taylor.
Hadn’t seen this in a while, it was in my feed today. Taylor was so beautiful. My heart hurts so much. I hope Nate is okay…the last bit, riding their bikes…no music, just beautiful. 💔
Fucking hell, that solo should be listed at least in the top 10 of the last two decades. Absolutely brilliant, one of my favourite foo fighters songs!! 🖤
I always wondered how they manage to cooperate three guitarists in the band, like how do they decide which guy plays which part? Do they have like a pattern?
Not to suggest that most guitar players sound the same, but idk what it is about Joe Walsh's playing that makes you go "Oh yeah, that sounds like Joe Walsh". It's very distinctive in my opinion, kinda like different people's singing voice

My favorite song off of the album and yes Taylor I felt it too... 💗💗
🙏
That's why I'm here
Same here!! Much love FF!
Outside is a criminally underrated song. Should be played live a lot more.

It’s the one song I always have to play a second and third time. I can’t get enough of it. I love the scene with Taylor listening to Joe’s solo
And also the feast and the famine in my opinion
pretty much underrated record (something from nothing, in the clear, outside ...)
Some them play live in DC right after Dave broke his leg, it was soooo good
Lol Taylor was having an eargasim over there on the couch
Like he is feeling drug again 🤪🤯

That Taylor Hawkins trippin' balls section is the best!
The moment I heard the news about Taylor, I remembered this moment.
same... man oh my god
Same... I instantly came back to this video
Same ❤️
Me too man
RIP Mr Drummer. I've always enjoyed watching you in this vid. You'll be greatly missed...
FF: Hey Joe, can you come play a couple notes for us?
Joe: sure
Taylor: new favourite FF song
I gotta go back and rewatch Sonic Highways. I remember it seriously sparking a creative streak in my life back when it came out.
Absolutely! Best song by far in my opinion 💜
Butch Vig has not aged a fucking day since 1994!
"this is my new Foo Fighters favorite song"...
I just texted my best friend and told her the same thing. Then I watch this clip and Taylor says the same thing.
I used to watch this multiple times a day:( Taylor, come back 🥺💔
I'm not entirely sure, but I think Taylor might be a bit of a Joe Walsh fan.
+TheOnlyRealJohn maybe just a little bit
I think everyone in that fucking band is a Joe Walsh fan. Joe Walsh is a drunken god
You can tell, he looks like he's having an orgasm during the Walsh solo
Such an unabashed fanboy.

a goodbye 7 years ago?
it takes a special kind of musician to play so little, but stil make it sound so amazing! Joe Walsh is amazing that way
I love how he just patiently uses the space and really builds the anticipation for each and every note

I would love to live the rest of my life w the same kind of unbridled joy shown on Taylor Hawkins face..unreal!
I wish we could see more of Pat in these type of things, he is the man!
I love how much Taylor gets into it! Oddly, I feel, after this album, the energy of FF changes….mainly Dave’s energy.
The guy used to breathe Rock... we will all miss you Taylor 🤘
Still can’t believe he’s gone man. …
Pat seams like the coolest guy to work with, he has a very good attitude in everything he does
Looks like Taylor took some acid before listening to that solo. He would of fit in at Woodstock. Lol
nah man, its called Love for the music
If Dave were to tragically leave this world too soon, Taylor would go on to freak us all out as a front man just like Dave did.
@Carl Ball Right? Oof.
Taylor always had a smile on his face. Love forever T
The ending with Taylor Hawkins riding his bike into the sunset is very nostalgic 🌇 R.I.P. dude.

Question.... Has Pat EVER shot a gun before this video was made?!?!?!
+S Biggs I would say abso fuggin lutely. That little move he's makin is to get a fresh BB on deck for the next shot. It's very controlled.
lol
Growing up in Los Angeles 😜
@@kevinc.8869 but he clearly doesn't know how to hold a gun....

Hawkins showing how ambidextrous he is....cocking the BB gun with his "left" hand!
