Hello friends! Hope you're all well! Considering the response I got for my last Cotz video, I was very excited to try this one out and let's just say it didn't live up to the hype I expected, but it also went just as I assumed it would. Have you tried this? What was your experience? Also, looking back at the footage, I'm amazed at how goodthis looks on my skin on camera in terms of whitecast. This actually leaves MINIMAL trace on my skin, but it's sooooo dang greasy. Not meant for me, not a fun or cute experience. What did you think? xoxo
This is my favorite backup one when the Flawless Complexion isn't available. I was worried about the white cast but I didn't have much to worry about with this one. Like maybe by the third application it was then slightly apparent. I do have dry skin so I feel that plays a huge part in my opinion.
The finish was super shiny, even on my dry skin! I also wonder if they designate the Sensitive SPF 40 as “sensitive” vs the tinted SPF 50 because the tinted one has Bismuth Oxychloride which, as I understand, can be a problem for some people¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Flawless Complexion burns my eyes horribly, the only mineral sunscreen to do so! It’s too bad cuz I love it otherwise (in the winter, not in the summer). Want to try the sensitive one.
Great review as always Ramon! I totally agree with all of it. Cotz can be “greasy” despite being oil free usually in their sunscreens, I believe the sensitive one does have an oil or two which is probably why it felt different from the flawless complexion. I actually had to return this one. But the tinted flawless complexion spf 50 is my favorite from them!
i JUST watched your other review on this screen and really wanted to see how the sensitive one worked!! thank you so much your reviews are SO helpful, not to mention you have such good energy!
I literally tried this for a week and can definitely agree that it left me feeling/looking greasy especially in my t zone. Thank you for your review, it helps so much 🥺🥺
Flawless gives me big ass pimples so I gave it to my step mom 😈. Face and prime goes on looking like it will blend into my chocolate skin- then once dry- sis I’m BLUE! Lmfaooooo. This sensitive one blends into my pre slavery beard and face without having to rub for 10 min. I love it for now. Typically use the LRP Mineral Face and body which is HORRIBLE (the cast) but I seriously love how it feels. I use it at home and for dog walks.
I enjoy using this sunscreen, but I have dry/normal skin. I agree, this product is not for oily skin folks. I also noticed it generated a little heat as I rubbed it in. 😀 It looks great also when I apply the Baremineral complexion rescue tinted on top. I probably wouldn’t use this product in the summer either. I’ve not try the tinted version.
Thank you for your reviews im Hispanic and I feel we are neglected in sunscreen realm since we are my warm based and most sunscreens have a cool undertone that makes us look pasty
Ikr, I always have that issue. I just gave up on physical sunscreen and stick to chemical. My favorites are the black girl sunscreen and LRP double repair spf 30
@@not_amand i still use mineral since my concern is hyperpigmentation or freckles from sun damage. My favorite is cervae tinted sunscreen spf30. I just wish the spf was higher. The mychelle sunscreen is also good but its more for maybe Ramons skin color im a little more pale Hispanic but with ofcourse warm undertones.
My bf and I both have really dry skin, I have eczema, and I liked the emollience, it pleasantly surprised me! Mineral spf ALWAYS dries me out but this one didn't. Never thought there'd be a "glass skin" friendly mineral spf, and i got it bc Raw Tin Skin reviewed it and thought it might be a nice fit for my bf too My bf is afro basileiro and his skin is a few shades darker than yours, and this sunscreen, which he absolutely loves, doesn't show up on his skin, buuuuut it does make his face look slightly matte, even though he feels very moisturised (I can only tell hes wearing spf if i look closely at his beard)... So I mainly thought the shininess was due to my being white and the micro zinc, esp since my skin didn't feel oily after reapplications. This makes me suspect it may not be a great sunscreen for people with dark skin :/ That being said it's the only mineral spf my bf actually likes, and we have yet to see it on his summertime skin tone

I’ve heard from deeper skin creators that it’s actually very sheer or ‘clear’ on skin tone ups to Fenty shade 470 confirmed. That’s still subjective, but a very wide range still!
There’s something about this sunscreen’s formula. No matter how hard I shake the bottle, it always starts off as matte, but gets unbearably oily and thick the further down the bottle I get. It’s the only sunscreen that doesn’t burn my eyes though, so it’s still a HG. The cast is also not terrible on me.
Have you tried the Mantl sunscreen? It's a chemical sunscreen marketed toward bald men and I'm really intrigued by it! I might get it for my brother but I'd love to hear your thoughts!
Thank you for this video! Can you review the Cotz Prime + Protect Tinted Sunscreen? I've heard that it feels very similar to Benefit Porefessional Primer (which I love) and is really good for keeping oily skin matte all day. I'm waiting for your review before ordering it to try! Thank you for helping us to shop smart!

I’d love the potential to, but I don’t have easy access to Cotz here in the UK. If it weren’t for a friend having extras of the two I already reviewed, I wouldn’t even have had those two! Lemme see what I can do
@ Do you have the equivalent of a PO Box over in the UK for followers to send you products? 🇬🇧 I would be willing to send you the Prime and Protect because as a medium olive toned Puerto Rican chic, it’s one that I currently use and enjoy, but is also a review that I would definitely love for you to cover for others and to get your opinion on!
sorry if you mentioned it already-- i know folks were mentioning how their skin becomes greasy over time with cotz sunscreens. as someone with oily skin, is there a mineral sunscreen you recommend through and through?
@@dicieslicie6347 Dr V is awesome and I definitely know she recommends colourscience. Have you tried the colourscience sunscreens? Would be interested to hear your experience if so. The only reservations I have is with the different “tints”. Rather than it being different tints for different skin colours, it seems more like there’s only one tint (the original, peachy white tint) and then a highlighter (glow version) and a contour/bronzer (actually called Bronze). I have medium tan skin so the glow would be right colour but from the reviews people have said the glow version it’s so greasy and shiny looking, which does not sound nice. And the original and bronze seem like terrible matches for my colour. I think DrV uses the original and then puts makeup on top so she’s ok with it but sadly I’m not into daily makeup ☹️ I’ve emailed the company to ask for samples but they never replied. Dr V said she’s developing a POC friendly sunscreen so hopefully that will be better! 🤞
@@MoonPie44 No, I haven't tried it yet. My skin tone is medium tan and I don't wear make-up so I'm leaning towards Colorsceience's glow sunscreen. I have been using a Supergoop's clean chemical sunscreen but want to try a mineral sunscreen. I've heard positive things about Colorsceience so I may give it a shot.
The spf 50 tinted is my fave sunscreen but I am starting to find it hard to find for shipping to the UK

The cast looks nearly nonexistent on camera! Maybe it would work for drier skin?

Did u find it greasier than pipette
I appreciate the wink in your side by sides 😉
Now I have to check out your other videos to see if this is a common thing. I hope so, love the flair!

Sun Bum and Axis Y, both of which I reviewed. I wasn’t a fan of the Australian Gold, although it was a very matte experience
