The "greens" and "blacks" are essentially political parties, but they all share the same blood, all are TARGARYENS. Where are the good things? Where are the good reasons? He actively played a role in the near extinction and downfall of his blood.

I could very much identify with Daemon at that point - it's at Vaemon's nonsense he laughed. I experienced the same thing at my _deda_ (gradnfather's) funeral, when the priest (thou deda hated the clergy with a passion, and never would've wanted one to hold his eulogy) suddenly changed his tone from monotone, boring talking (which I could ignore and stay immersed in my own thoughts and grief), to dramatically raising his voice for two octaves, and started prattling something about God lifting civil servants and clerks high in the heavens (BTW and even worse, deda, was neither working in civil service nor was he ever a clerk). Ignoring the stupid priest wasn't an option any more, I tried to stay serious, but finally I couldn't take it any more, and burst out giggling awkwardly (from the first row, in full view of about 200 people present). Since that moment in the show, Daemon is my guy, no matter what he does (i.e. what the show-runners do to his character). And it proves that he loved Laena very much.
Daemon is a complex character with a lot of despicable traits, but he would have to, to survive in such a world. In the end, Daemon would fight for his family, even his weak brother the king. Daemon could've murdered his brother and ceased the crown for himself. From books and other sources, the worst Targaryen is considered Aegon the unworthy; Aegon IV I believe. Fire and Blood goes through the history too fast, it goes over 150 something years in 500 + pages. Also, the point of view is constantly changing, from a jester to numerous maesters. I'm fascinated...

Not sure if it's on everybody's mind regarding Rhaena, but what if her replacing Nettles means we'll finally get a father/ daughter bond with Daemon and one of his daughters. It would make perfect sense and create some great character development. The only problem would be recreating the drama of Rhaenyra learning about Nettles 😭
Daemon laughed during the speech, because he was getting angry and was about to do something violent. Anyone with a temper and proclivity towards violence, understood that laugh. It's an involuntary reaction. And, we laugh because the person talking has no idea how close they are to danger. Inside you're thinking, "This person is trying me, and has no idea about what I'm thinking about doing to them." The person is literally thinking about getting mad. And it's a warning. IM LAUGHING NOW. BUT KEEP IT UP AND YOULL BE CRYING LATER. It's a way of bringing attention to yourself, without doing the violence yet.
I love Daemon and Matt Smith has done great. Daemon doesn't just give his loyalties. He's loyal to his family and friends had to earn it. Yes he's a bit dark but if you think about the times, he's done great tempering his darker nature.
Technically if we go by book history and lore, Daemon's story has long been over while Jon's is still being written. Jon has potential for far more feats yet.

I read the book and loved! But when the show came out i knew it would not be used as a this is what it will be! And that made me love the show! At least the didn't shit on it like they did with rings of power or star wars! Putting hotd next to them or wheel of time and it looks like a damn golden ticket!

Can't just conflate two characters like this. The Daemons of book and show fork into two different people by the time of the war with the Triarchy. Things like switching between Viserys ruling against Vaemond's family and ordering their tongues removed in the books, and then inserting Daemon into the events in accordance with the show version, as if both provide glances at the same character interaction, just doesn't fly. And the prince for whom the god's famous coin just kept spinning is nowhere near the most vile Targ in either rendition. Though the show version does certainly rank among the bad ones at least.
No he is not the most evil, he is Grey character evil and good in one soul that make him unique in the targaryan's density, he is much complex and dangerous in the books then in the show, I think him and the blood riven and maegor the cruel are the most interesting and feared people in their density🖤❤
Great content with excellent reading from parts of the book. But dude, the show is out and with it the pronunciation of most of these names, it's a little off putting hearing such weird pronunciation for some of the names.

The show minimizes or adds to daemon actions so to make daemon and aemond similar which they are but then again they aren't.. he is like daemon when he was younger but now daemon is older and gained patience instead of being eager to war this dangerous man shows patience and he is more than a little dangerous the books say he is the most dangerous man in westeros...daemon be more calculating his actions are with cause his arrival would make man bend knees because of who he is so why does man disrespect him and he has to commit war crimes when he just called these man to harrenhall nd they came and made alliance with daemon because of his war experience and leadership him being a great commander..this was his nephews being impatient eager for war foolish thinking emotionally led daemon is one who uses emotions to his advantage even anger or fury or sadness, jealousy, the show shows this with daemon and otto when daemon said "your own lady wife passed recently" he upset otto just to get emotions out of him but the books don't show his actions to be calculating cunning strategic specifically killing the heir although blood never said his name because his hands were away in harrenhall when this happened it was mysaria he sent a letter to just like one he sent to rhaenyra I like this, this shows his reach in the enemies stronghold even devastating them putting discord and disorder in their wake and he didn't need to show face the plan wasn't so ridiculous.. daemon is better than this unpredictable yes but not to betray rhaenyra I like him having a little spoils after the battle and they fall out instead being petty over inheritance..

I read the book and loved! But when the show came out i knew it would not be used as a this is what it will be! And that made me love the show! At least the didn't shit on it like they did with rings of power or star wars! Putting hotd next to them or wheel of time and it looks like a damn golden ticket!

Can't just conflate two characters like this. The Daemons of book and show fork into two different people by the time of the war with the Triarchy. Things like switching between Viserys ruling against Vaemond's family and ordering their tongues removed in the books, and then inserting Daemon into the events in accordance with the show version, as if both provide glances at the same character interaction, just doesn't fly.
And the prince for whom the god's famous coin just kept spinning is nowhere near the most vile Targ in either rendition. Though the show version does certainly rank among the bad ones at least.
