Just had enough time to tell him it was nice to meet him and that my father has been a fan of him since ‘The Books Of Blood’, which seemed to impress him of how long ago that was. He did seem friendly and he signed everything put in front of him, no matter how many items it was. He must have made a killing that weekend alone.
I do not agree with writing on a computer reduces the quality of writing. I am left-handed and write very badly so I take the computer and avoid tendinitis !
I prefer writing on a computer for the first draft, just because I personally find it more effective in my own work to write something and then criticise it into being good than to think about it for a long time before committing it to the page.
