That would have taken me many weeks to get the stain off the seat. Best thing is he made it safely. Another good thing is that it tell drivers like me to 'listen to their instincts'. I'd have camped on this side of the river and waited for the water level to drop.
rouletteTAG, this was taken on 31st Oct, 2010. It wouldn't have normally been this wet this time of year, but 2 nights before this crossing, there was a massive downpour
En si la maniobra es genial y el piloto merece mucho crédito. Pero es una soberana estupidez hacerlo con una corriente tan fuerte y con esa profundidad.
Securitystrat, yeah looks really safe especially when the car starts floating the arse end and almost washes away. So I Take it you walked the crossing and checked out out for yourself??? You said yourself if was safer upstream so why would you risk crossing there??? Sorry to disappoint you it would have still been a better video if your car had washed away. If it's flooded, forget it!!!!
adam ski The only reason it would be safer to drive up stream a little is the water would wash you back to where you intended on going rather then further down stream like what almost happened to him, regardless I wouldn't of attempted that in that 4wd.
+Jason well... i guess we have the guts to do it and we know what we are doing! we love this kind of stuff. we always familiarize our ute's before we do somwthing crazy. personally, i won't do it if i know it wouldn't make it. thats why its a 4x4 and has a snorkel. it was built that way.
adam ski. Thanks for your comments. They are much appreciated. However, if you were to understand the situation for the events that took place, I doubt you would have commented as you did. It seems it takes more maturity to hold your comment and your thoughts back than it does to make them known while you hide behind your keyboard. The crossing was safer than you think (the video makes it look crazy - granted), and the only thing I should have done differently was to drive upstream a little more so I would have popped out more inline with the exit.
Here in the states, the enviomentalist idiots would crusify you for crossing a belived river with your car ... As for the truck, that ranger is awesome but not allowed in the usa due to high economy and it would kill the sales of their petrol hog f150!
Man that's a great effort, i bet the adrenalin was pumping after that one!!!!! you've done very well!
Whatever happened to "If it's flooded, forget it"?
Great to see one keeping a level head and not panicking. Well done.
brilliant! fighting with nature - got to have confidence in your 4x4!!
mate, very lucky to get out of that one. if its flooded, forget it
I wouldn't be crossing that in those conditions myself.

That was really but-clenching to watch - I'm glad to see it come out well
Great video
Dangerous..... but, you know they do not care. It is the lifestyle they will live till someone gets hurt.

literbikedoc - just the standard for side steps. No damage - only some water inside the cabin.

Why would you cross a river flowing that fast? Disater waiting to happen.
nice recovery from a potential nightmare, well done.

Yall got balls the size of my head
That’s why he floated a lil haha
nah mate, not as yet
Crazy
Go the Ranger
I think I was in 2nd low
Would have been better if it washed away and maybe he would have learnt something too!
Needs more lift before you attempt river crossing, too much force on your body panels is pushing this guy all over
Shit! That was pretty sketchy.
Luck luck luck.... could have easily gone bad. Silly i say.
*ford
Crazy f**k!!!
got so balls
You have to wonder about some people. I wish his car would have been washed away, then maybe next time he would think twice!
