A broken unit (Athars Chosen) with a broken religion(Judaism), with a broken land (Yemen) with a broken Dam, with a broken Diplomacy, and a broken man who is in charge of it all. Interesting.
You have to convert the main settlement to your culture before you can build SOME of your buildings in a settlement. Its hidden, instead of just being greyed out (like it is in Age of Charlemagne)
27:00, it was worth seeing those archers mash those units. lol when the horse ran and fell toward the end in front of the archers, worth a couple minutes
In my opinion, the reason I watch you so much is because it seems you can win any type of battle manually and that is what makes watching you so fun. I get to learn how to play the game better and it's entertaining to watch when the odds are stacked against you. When the odds are so in your favor I know you are going to win no matter what so auto-resolve seems like a better choice in those situations TO ME. You said yourself you want to have fun so if you feel like rofl stomping a settlement manually then go for it, I'll watch either way.
i have started this on legendary and axum declared war on me on the first turn so i killed tehm and now iv pushed right up to alexandria, the axe inf you can make absolutely murder romans and armored camels just make enemy cav run away
sounds like a common approach and I took the same route, however the San’nids have turned on me and the trade drop is killing my income. Wish i’d seen that coming! 🤔
Manual battle are fun when there is a challange to them. thoose 2 sieges should have been won by autoresolving. was pretty happy that u "automatic" autoresolved the first battle u said u was gonna manual resolve
Hey. You might want to try replacing your sanitation building with a town Jewish temple. They give sanitation at the cost of food, but they also spread Judaism and give order etc
I'd suggest if you manually do the small, easy-win battles, give us some good close camera shots of the carnage. For example I would've liked it if you had zoomed on the Legio getting pelted to death with arrows.
Gonna go deep with this one Legend. So i think you are really effective when manually resolvning your battles, and sometimes the auto-resolve fucks up even though it shouldnt, so even if I skip the battles by manually go to a place in the video after the battle if I don't think the battle will be exciting, i think you should fight the battles manually if you feel like you can do better than the computer. I love the world-map movements and tactics/building and theory crafting more than the battles, but i know how important something small as keeping a unit at full strength instead of auto-resolving and loosing 10 men in each unit can be on this difficulty. I say maybe find some balance, or manually fight those where you want to lose as little as possible.
In future battles I would auto resolve fights like that one at Jerusalem. There's always the This Is Sparta campaign for those of us who want to see boss armies crushing dickless ones. However, in this case you did need to know what your units were capable of and small scale fights are the best way to test them out.
This feels like Himyarite Nation Building as they try to colonize the Eastern Roman Empire and other towns on Western Arabia through violent defense, occupation, and invasion.
Yeah, the Pentarchy Sees are screwed up. Someone did make a mod allowing you to make your own religious buildings. Of course, there aren't special versions for non-Christians in the capital city at Level 5, but still better than "screw you because".
I like to see manual battles, but you have to be more perfectionist. You lost too much cav. No matter how easy a battle is you can always make it challenging by trying to lose as little as possible. Also you just don't sound very enthusiastic about the Himyar units. I don't know why, they have some of the coolest units in the game! Heavy melee cav with 300+ health right from the beginning of the campaign? Athar's chosen? And those axe units absolutely wreck roman infantry. You should have used them instead of your cav, they would have lost less than 10 men.
small battles that are easily won should be auto-resolved. bigger battles that are probably also an easy auto resolve can you fight manually sometimes if you feel like you are just staring at the capaign screen.^^
Might be a bit late, but I like a mix of both. I don't like it when a video is just all auto resolved, maybe aim for atleast one manually resolved battle per video for example. Alot of other youtubers auto nearly everything and is bloody boring. Don't expect all manual unless it's a sparta total war campaign that is :) Most of all though what ever is the most fun for you, if your having fun than it shows through your commentary and playstyle
Hey man so just asking you hate on this game a lot but you play it ALOT. Do you really hate it? It’s because of your vids that I bought this game. Yes it’s not perfect but I like it better than Rome 2.
XD Jew Town, Jewbajewbaland and Jerusalem. Might as well make them all Israeli cities or rename Jerusalem something like Allahu Akbar (not Jewish but you get the point).
Awww Come On? Not calling Jew Town Judah? There's Historical Precedent for it! The Israel-Judah split of the Two Kings or was it Judges...Point is they divided into those two nations on a succession dispute on in history!
Well Legend isnt exactly a story expert. An example he put the Star of David in the thumbnail of the videos but the star wasnt used until the middle ages. Also, wasnt Israel a splinter faction of the Judah tribe who separate for a succesion dispute?
Aila seems to be a romanization of the biblical 'Elath'. Although calling it 'Timna' instead could be nice too, referencing the copper mines not far from there that are mentioned during solomon's reign.
+sejobas If you got other battles in your episodes, id say skip this kind of battle. But if the entire episode consists of campaigning then yeah a little battle like this is a nice change of pace
see the shit battle AI !!!? No tesudo, facing the wrong way for incoming arrows ect. I hate this. I am sure the battle never used to be so bad...anyone think this also? It seem to me the battle AI was better before the slavic update
That battle was shit. And people can be arab and jew at the same time. Remember the jews Mohammed slaughtered... 'cough' 'cough' ... I mean "persecuted"?
A broken unit (Athars Chosen) with a broken religion(Judaism), with a broken land (Yemen) with a broken Dam, with a broken Diplomacy, and a broken man who is in charge of it all. Interesting.
51:16 Legend is about to start mining some Jewstones
You have to convert the main settlement to your culture before you can build SOME of your buildings in a settlement. Its hidden, instead of just being greyed out (like it is in Age of Charlemagne)
I like to see manual battles, but that was bloody pointless lol
+Seleucus I Nicator I agree
27:00, it was worth seeing those archers mash those units. lol when the horse ran and fell toward the end in front of the archers, worth a couple minutes
Legend: "Alright, fighting this Manuel."
Legends hand&Brain: "Nope..." *clicks auto-resolve*
In my opinion, the reason I watch you so much is because it seems you can win any type of battle manually and that is what makes watching you so fun. Hahaha 15:50 was hilarius, I have seen more than 300 of your videos, and it's the very first time I hear your laugh!!
autoresolve is fine for battles with overwhelming odds in your favor
I prefer seeing the manual battles, I think it's much more fun
i have started this on legendary and axum declared war on me on the first turn so i killed tehm and now iv pushed right up to alexandria, the axe inf you can make absolutely murder romans and armored camels just make enemy cav run away
sounds like a common approach and I took the same route, however the San’nids have turned on me and the trade drop is killing my income. Wish i’d seen that coming! 🤔
i reckon autoresolve those easy ones so you get to the bigger and better battles faster, keep up the great work
" we are jewish so we need the money " lol you'll go into jail for that one legend !!
Manual battle are fun when there is a challange to them. thoose 2 sieges should have been won by autoresolving. was pretty happy that u "automatic" autoresolved the first battle u said u was gonna manual resolve
This game always gets me so pissed as I get fucking wrecked every time I start a new campaign. But then I can't help start a new campaign. Smh.
I honestly like seeing you fight. That battle took like 10 minutes so if you feel like fighting I say go for it!
Manual battle are ok, and if you like to play them, even better :D kept up the great work.
Gonna go deep with this one Legend.

Absolutely, and thats why i think its probably best to try to find a nice balance. Its just hard to find that perfect balance haha
In future battles I would auto resolve fights like that one at Jerusalem. There's always the This Is Sparta campaign for those of us who want to see boss armies crushing dickless ones. However, in this case you did need to know what your units were capable of and small scale fights are the best way to test them out.
Good to have a quick look at the units on the battlefield but definitely auto resolve the pointless ones from now on
This feels like Himyarite Nation Building as they try to colonize the Eastern Roman Empire and other towns on Western Arabia through violent defense, occupation, and invasion.
Are you using any mods Legend? Any graphical mods?
I like watching fights also small ones
Love the ending
you're commanding the amish lmao
Hi Legend, What video card are running with? thank you...
pure instincts
autoresolve
I think you should manually resolve battles if they are of symbolic meaning, like for instance the holy city.
Jew Town? Really?
Why don't you just rename Jerusalem 'Jewdopolis' while you're at it.
It's al-Quds
+Tammam Nazar 'no'
+Institute Synth Or simply "Jewrusalem" or "The Promised Land"
sounds like something a synth would say..
Devan Hale As a Jew I’m kinda offended. Imagine if they called it cuckold town, you would probably get pretty offended.
fight on your own in towns and autoresolve in vilage battles that will be fabolous
that battle should have been auto-resolved
I enjoy manual battles, but when they are as easily won as the one at 'Jerusalem' i think it would be better to autoresolve
Mix the battles up. Good to have some manual resolves.
I would prefer small settlement auto resolve but large settlements manually resolved
Lmao 15:45 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Auto resolve easy ones but manually resolve medium-hard battles.
Yeah, the Pentarchy Sees are screwed up. Someone did make a mod allowing you to make your own religious buildings. Of course, there aren't special versions for non-Christians in the capital city at Level 5, but still better than "screw you because".
Legend sounds like Jesse Spencer
I like to see manual battles, but you have to be more perfectionist. You lost too much cav. No matter how easy a battle is you can always make it challenging by trying to lose as little as possible. ...and just instincts took over! And by instincts you mean OCD?
Legend, only VENI VIDI VICI.. NO auto resolve
battles ar fun to watch so keep doing it
small battles that are easily won should be auto-resolved. bigger battles that are probably also an easy auto resolve can you fight manually sometimes if you feel like you are just staring at the capaign screen.^^
what means dogma (dont know who to spel it)
only do like even battles the short garrison just isnt neccesary
Might be a bit late, but I like a mix of both. I don't like it when a video is just all auto resolved, maybe aim for atleast one manually resolved battle per video for example. "Jew Town"! XD I LOVE IT! You, sir, just made my day! Take all of my likes! I love watching your content!
order is my vote
I think battles where there is no risk at all you should jus auto-resolve.
Hey man so just asking you hate on this game a lot but you play it ALOT. Do you really hate it? It’s because of your vids that I bought this game. Yes it’s not perfect but I like it better than Rome 2.
I don't play it at all any more.
LegendofTotalWar well I’m really enjoying my time with it. I’m late on the total war franchise.
@@deathmetaldrummer9368 glad you're enjoying it. this game just wasn't for me
It’s all good man. Still need to get war hammer haven’t dove into those yet.
XD Jew Town, Jewbajewbaland and Jerusalem. Might as well make them all Israeli cities or rename Jerusalem something like Allahu Akbar (not Jewish but you get the point).
+The Avenger at Ilipa You do realise that the Jews don't say Allahu Akbar...
+Creepy_guy2428 You do realize that I mentioned that in my comment...
+The Avenger at Ilipa lol
I LIKE when u fight the battles but those small ones are kind of boring, but i love your videos :)
hi
+Rexusa Is your body not ready?
Saucy jihadist good thanks

@@hernanreipp6983It depends whether you look at the Biblical narrative or historical narrative.
Aila seems to be a romanization of the biblical 'Elath'. Although calling it 'Timna' instead could be nice too, referencing the copper mines not far from there that are mentioned during solomon's reign.
I came for the Jewish revolution.
These battles are just like the sex, I prefer them manually.
hhahahaha that brainfart
+sejobas If you got other battles in your episodes, id say skip this kind of battle. But if the entire episode consists of campaigning then yeah a little battle like this is a nice change of pace
curved scimitar...
fck it fight it show em whos boss
i like manual battles but this was.. well a waste of time, you could probably win with 4 archers 1 spear with the same amount of casualties..
see the shit battle AI !!!? No tesudo, facing the wrong way for incoming arrows ect. I hate this. I am sure the battle never used to be so bad...anyone think this also? It seem to me the battle AI was better before the slavic update
they are basically arabs but judaism is their religion
There was Jewish migration to this region also according to a Kings and Generals video I saw.
auto bs battles manually fight half stacks and higher
so short clearly winable battles imo you can just autoresolve
pls autoresolve
Auto resolve
That battle was shit. And people can be arab and jew at the same time. Remember the jews Mohammed slaughtered... 'cough' 'cough' ... I mean "persecuted"?
Autoresolve m8
jewstones, lol
auto
