my sister in law and I just made this recipe today and it was so good. I was having a bad day and after I ate the bibimbap I was so happy. just like seonkyoung said, "this will fix what ever day you had." thank you for such a delicious and wonderful recipe!!!
Friends consider me as good cooker, my flow is korean food (which I like to eat but unable to make), due your videos I started cook k-food following strictly your instructions, nailed it. Thanks for teaching how to cook k-food. BTW, I followed your channel for my foodie friends, I’m sure they’ll comment as well. Happy new year!
Omg!!! my mouth is watering .I love! love! Asian food. This recipe was very easy to follow, and I like when you add a variety of healthy veggies. I think I will have this for dinner..Thank you! Fabulous chef Seonkyoung.
I'm used to Bibi... I live with a korean woman... The most incredible is: how to serve it. I mean: as says the video: everything must be separatly cooked , and also presented sepereratly. Even if it finishes in a huge mix!!!! So nice and so good!!! P.S: For the sauce, we let the people put it in their own bowl. Some people can't take a a too spicy sauce... Thanks for the video!!!
The gochujang sauce is to die for!!!!! My husband and I made a huge batch of it and practically use it to anything. I even dip my chicken nuggets on it lol. Awesome! Awesome recipe 👍👍
This was the best thing I've had in a long time, from all the foods in the world. I'm not kidding. The sauce is so damn good!!! I made a vegetarian version (no meat at home) still soooooooo good. After a shitty day, this dish lifted me up. Thank you ❤️
I made this for my husband and I tonight, it was the most delicious bowl of food. It was super easy the way you explained it. This is now a family favorite, even the kids. I'm officially obsessed with your channel and everything you've created. Best food channel I've found in forever.
I followed your recipe today and served it in normal bowls. I didn't use: (sesame oil, mirin, kimchi, spinach, been sprouts) and used ground lamb meat. I used pear instead of apple in the sauce and the dish turned out amazing. everybody loved it and I suggest everyone to try it if even if they don't have the exact ingredients. thank you Songkyoung for sharing your recipe with is it was yummy.
This may be the happiest I ever saw you look when trying a recipe! It looks amazing. I like the little white dots at the bottom of the screen near the end, it reminds me of your lights under the kitchen counters. You make such nice quality videos and I have learned a lot from watching you. Thanks so much!
Your gochujang sauce is awesome. I will always use your recipe to top my bibimbaps from now on! I wanna try it as a basting finishing for grilled tofu, or a dressing for cold noodles. I love it so much I guess i'll pour it on everything.
Little late to the party but I saw this 6 months ago when looking for easy tasty food for a dinner party with friends who always wow us with their dinners. This blew them away, they took the extra sauce home. Cooked it after for other people and it went down a storm. My boyfriend who is Italian and not adventurous at all loves it and always asks for it. Your recipes excite people to want to try new things, I thank you ❤❤
Vanne Senpai LOL thats when you know the food could taste good! i could just imagine cuz sometimes i have a bag of hot fries and pretend like im eating whatever i see that i cant have at the moment XD
In Korea in 1963 in Army. Do not remember trying this dish. I am sitting here and my mouth is watering just watching you prepare this. Yum!!! Awesome looking dish, thank you for filming.
+Lanai s LOVE Maangchi! Seongkyong's recipes, techniques, executions & instructions are just EXECELLENT & non-pedestrian! She's SO GOOD!! Just because they both originate from Korea, Maangchi & Seongkyong are not alike. Thank you.
This is a wonderful recipe! I have made this Bibimbap many times -- modifying it several times over the years. My version is vegetarian with no egg (less cholesterol). I will NOT change the red pepper sauce as it is too awesome to ignore! Occasionally I may use brown rice with green onions.
Nom nom nom, my favorite Korean dish because it's the best comfort food when going out ^^ especially when I treat myself outside to relieve stress from college... Speaking of stress lol.. Finals are coming T^T aha who else knows my struggles 😂 but I don't know if this is the right item but is 고사리 an ingredient in 비빔밥?
I made this and we all loved it! Sooooo good! We can buy the sauce premade at our local Asian store but if you use Seonkyoung's recipe you will never use the former. It's outstanding! Can't wait to make it again.
I made Bibimbap over the weekend, following your recipe. Used peanut oil everywhere accept when marinating, as I find it too strong a taste to cook with. Used peanut oil for the rest! OMG, that was delicious!!! Made it again 2 nights later. Thank you so much for this recipe!!!! I’ll be making this several times a month now!
Hi Seonkyoung Longest ~ I love bibimbap and today I make a bibimbap and try and taste for the 1st time your bibimbap's sauce and OMG it's so good ~ ❤️ the taste is so sweet. I love it. I love your videos. I'm a big fan of you 😍😍
!!! I'm making this right now as I type. I went and got the ingredients yesterday! I forgot to buy the stone pot, so I'm using a cast iron-type cooking pot. Hey...gotta do what I gotta do :) I want to get the crispiness on the bottom. Anyhoos, I can't wait to sit in front of the TV, relax, not answer my cell, and EAT!
Turned out delish! My veggies were: Chinese broccoli sautéed with white onions, carrots, red bell pepper, zucchini, bean sprouts, pickled cucumbers, shiitake mushrooms, and green onions. Yum!
My second, closely tied with bulgogi. Budae Jjiigae ("army stew" or "fortress stew" depending on translation) is a close one in spite of being a fusion dish that is the Korean equivalent of chop suey using hot dogs, Spam, any brand-name chili from a can, and Italian sausage that are stir-fried in peanut oil until juicy then stewed with fish broth and chopped kimchi until cooked thoroughly, then glass noodles and ramyun (Korean ramen) added until cooked through then topped with a generous amount of either Kraft or Velveeta cheese melted and gooey. That one comes from the Korean War and is still popular as a primary/elementary school lunch for little kids to this day in that country. :)
THIS WAS SO GOOD!!!! I made this for dinner tonight and it was an absolute hit. All the recipes - the sauces, marinade, vegetable preparation - everything - it was SO delicious!!!! You have a new fan!
I had this for breakfast today with all my veggie leftovers, amazing stuff - love trying new recipes, and a couple more of yours look great, awesome video!
Bibimbap is amazing. The sauce is essential. The egg adds something special as well. I'm going to have to go make this now. I needed to know how to make the sauce and this video helped alot.
Great video. You are awesome at doing videos. You are fun, educational, and beautiful. You get a thumbs up and a subscriber. I am going to try this soon. THANKS!
Excellent video because you don't waste time with "chit chat" comments that viewers, quite frankly, don't care about! You get RIGHT TO the details of ingredients and how to! Yours looks SOOOO good! I had bibimbap for the first time yesterday, 6/16, at a place called Rice Master and it was great. Love the hot bowl, as I love my cooked food to be hot, not merely "really warm." Can't wait to make it just the way you describe here!
I just tried this tonight and it was great! The sauce was on point and tasted just like the ones I've tried whenever my husband and I crave Korean food. Definitely gonna cook this again!!! Thank you for sharing this recipe!
+Akeya Murielle You can buy from a local Korean store. That's where I bought mine. Or they have some online. Here is a similar one that I found: amzn.to/1KVUNhZ It's actually good to have a lid for other dishes as well. Good luck in your kitchen! 😊
+Yoon Do I found a non alcoholic mirin at my asian grocery store! ..it's certified halal (what I was looking for)...just look at the bottles, sometimes it's surprising what you can find !
+Tom Moriarty that's one of the biggest misconceptions in the cooking world, there was an experiment done on alcohol and cooking and to completely cook off all the alcohol it takes hours and hours. A quick Google you can find the study.
You can use rice vinegar or double the peanut/sesame oil amount. Buddhist monks don't believe in using alcohol since it poisons the mind for meditation so they will often use more oil instead, just as they use ginger to substitute garlic and lemongrass for onion (garlic and onion are believed to inflame the sin of lust).
I would like to request a video. Can you please please please make spicy chicken feet? Thanks for taking your time to read. And you have such soft hand gestures😙
I made this and it was amazing! I did cheat a little though. I used the Korean No1 beef marinade from my local K Supermarket (I have many in LA). The sauce I made with your recipe using the Gochujang is indescribable! I could put it on EVERYTHING. If you guys haven't made this-it's not as hard as it looks, it's just "involved". :) Jeongmal gamsahamnida Seongkyoung Longest!
Dolsot bibimbap was the first Korean dish that I ever had and today it's still one of my favorites! And yes! The caramelized rice is absolutely the best part! Whenever I've ordered dolsot bibimbap that somehow didn't manage to caramelize the rice on the bottom, I've always been disappointed. It's a whole other layer of flavor and texture that really separates dolsot bibimbap from regular bibimbap.
I have not cooked Korean food before and even though there were some ingredients I didn't have, with your wonderful instructions, I just ploughed through. Wow, this is a wonderful dish and my family thought we were eating at a restaurant. Thank you!
I've been wanting to try bimimpap for awhile, but this recipe and your face when you ate has inspired me to try to make it with your recipe. ALSO, you're adorable. Never change. 🖤
Thank you so much. And your recipes are good! I’ve followed every bit and it turns out great! Hope this inspires you for making more videos like this! Very helpful and my family loved it!
The Gochujang sauce was fabulous. I've made Bibimpap a few times and it was always good but this sauce brought it to anther level. Thanks so much for the recipe.
i know how she feels.. i had bibimbap for the first time yesterday and I coudln't stop smiling. lol The taste was superb.. wow I still smile just thinking of how good it was .
Excellent Dish! We have a Korean International student staying with us that has been eating normal american meals and she usually has less than a full serving. I fixed this for dinner tonight and she had 3 servings. Her only complaint was that it wasn't spicy enough, so she added a bit more Gochujang to her plate while the rest of the family were downing water to kill the spiciness. Can't wait to see what other recipes you have.
I like how she's actually eating big spoonfuls of the food unlike other TV shows where that just try like a teaspoon of the food
Well yeah shes Asian. Us Asian people shove food in our faces haha
I came here to find a comment on it, ive found my new fetish.
Yeah the spoon was huge and even then it was overflowing. I was surprised she could fit it all in her mouth.
I’m korean and most Koreans eat hella lot of bibimbap
Koreans and Asians take really big bites. My mother in law was Japanise and she ate with a big spoon and filled it to capacity, lol.
One of the most delicious Korean meals I have ever tasted. It was a staple for when dining out in Seoul. Everyone should try it….
my sister in law and I just made this recipe today and it was so good. I was having a bad day and after I ate the bibimbap I was so happy. just like seonkyoung said, "this will fix what ever day you had."

Even if it finishes in a huge mix!!!!
So nice and so good!!!
P.S: For the sauce, we let the people put it in their own bowl. Some people can't take a a too spicy sauce...
Thanks for the video!!!

I literally opened my mouth when she took the first bite! Great tutorial Seonkyoung Longest!!
Yum!!! Awesome looking dish, thank you for filming.

any namool should work in bibimbap
I was stationed in South Korea in 1985. This brings back great memories. Thank you for sharing.
Honestly, you are the only reason I know how to cook!
You are lovely and your recipe looks amazing. I can't wait. YUM!!!❤
I just finished the latest episode of Master Chef and they had this recipe. Can't wait to try it. Thanks
I made this and we all loved it! Sooooo good! We can buy the sauce premade at our local Asian store but if you use Seonkyoung's recipe you will never use the former. It's outstanding! Can't wait to make it again.
How long can you keep it?
Tips:if you want a crispy bottom before u eat ur bibimbap u wait for a few minutes then u mix it it will make the bottom of the rice crisp
I made Bibimbap over the weekend, following your recipe. Used peanut oil everywhere accept when marinating, as I find it too strong a taste to cook with. Used peanut oil for the rest! Robert Corbell Yep, I'm already 21, and I still like this elementary food.

This recipe is fantastic. I will make it again
what kind of stove are you using? I have been trying to find a good portable stove like yours in some of your videos.
Bibimbap is amazing. The sauce is essential. The egg adds something special as well. I'm going to have to go make this now. I needed to know how to make the sauce and this video helped alot.

Where can I purchase a stone pot like the one you have?
+Akeya Murielle You can buy from a local Korean store. That's where I bought mine. Or they have some online. Here is a similar one that I found: amzn.to/1KVUNhZ
It's actually good to have a lid for other dishes as well. Good luck in your kitchen! 😊
+Seonkyoung Longest can I just marry you? you cook and ill wash up. lol
+juan def 😹😹😹
Lion 777 ;)
This is my favorite recipe, thank you so much for giving a detailed yet concise tutorial on how to make it
is there any non alcohol item to substitute the mirin ?
+Yoon Do you can just not add the mirin, taste just as good
+Yoon Do I found a non alcoholic mirin at my asian grocery store! ..it's certified halal (what I was looking for)...just look at the bottles, sometimes it's surprising what you can find !
+Yoon Do the alcoholic content is low that it doesn't matter, plus the alcohol evaporates in the cooking process
I must share with a couple from NY. They've lived in Korea for years and I know they would enjoy your recipes as well. 👍
I would like to request a video. Can you please please please make spicy chicken feet? Thanks for taking your time to read. And you have such soft hand gestures😙
I love the presentation. Asian food is the BEST!!!!

Unbelievably good ! Thank you for sharing !

She is so adorable! And I'm obsessed with this dish!
beautiful dish, and such a great personality definitely gonna follow your channel.
Jacob and Trinity are so lucky to have a excellent chef in the family! 😘 I love Bibimbap!
Can't wait to see what other recipes you have.
that sounds so nice!
I really believe you when you said that it will fix whatever day I have! Best episode ever! Thank you thank you!!
