- Mahindra has revealed the Thar Roxx and prices start at ₹12.99 lakh. The Mahindra Thar 5 Door has officially been named the Mahindra Thar Roxx
Mahindra Thar Roxx was launched with the 2.0-litre turbo-petrol mStallion and 2.2-litre diesel mHawk diesel engines same as in the Thar 3-door, Scorpio-N and XUV700, but the state of tunes are different. The Thar Roxx's petrol engine produces 162hp with 330Nm torque and coupled with a 6-speed manual gearbox, and also 177hp and 380Nm torque engine with the 6-speed torque converter automatic.
Bookings of the Thar ROXX will starts from October 3 and test drives will begin from September 14.

Interior white colour is an annoying feature. It could have been an optional feature with other colours. Being ventilated front seats the customer can not mask the white upholstery with other colour seat covers. That is too pity. The roof white also could have been replaced with dark colours.

Thar Roxx can't be compared to XUV 700 because they are not of the same form factor. If you want a 7 seater MUV which offers comfort, safety and space for 7 go for XUV 700. Thar Roxx belongs to a different category of buyers. A body on frame suv with manageable levels of comfort on road at a price which doesn't demand your kidneys. It is a deal!
