    I am hoping to make reading pillows for my grandchildren for Christmas. This one is extremely easy, even if not using photo fabric. It is so clever to hide the opening for the pillow in the pocket! No zippers or back openings. The only change I would make is to add a handle at the top for ease of carrying. I might also use a smaller pillow since my grandchildren are under the age of 3. Thanks you for a wonderful tutorial. It is causing my head to almost explode with all the possibilities!

    I love book Pillows and I love the idea of having the turn inside the pocket! Genius!
    I would add a handle at the top so the child can carry the pillow easily!

    P. S. My grandson wanted a cover for his gigantic body pillow. I just used your pattern to make a gigantic reading pillow. I love it and hope he does, too. Today’s his 14th birthday and this is part of his gift. Thank you for inspiring me.

    This is wonderful!! I’d already decided to make reading pillows for Christmas. This seems so much better than the way I was going to make. I’ll order immediately. Now, just have to choose the pictures. Thank you!!!
    P. S. I wanted the 283 count but EQ was out of stock. So, I found them on Amazon and just printed photos today. I am amazed at the quality of the prints. Now to choose the fabric and go to my machine. In case anyone is interested but wants in time for Christmas gifts, there are 2 left on Amazon.

    Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!! I made a photo quilt for a friend about ten years ago. The backing was a bear to remove, very time consuming. This EQ photo paper looks like a much better product. Thank you to for such great INSPIRATION for my Christmas presents. Making them for the children in the family and the grandmothers. 🥰 Also, thank you for another quality video with all the necessary information. Kudos to you for clever photo shoots of children from the back busily engaged in reading. Also a great way to post the video without revealing their faces. Have a blessed Christmas. I know your family will!

      You just need to sew on borders to get the pillow to the size you need

    Hi, Laura! Greetings from Pennsylvania. I wanted to see the back of your photo-to-border-pieced block? Did you leave qtr-in. raw edges, finish those edges, or put a backing or lining over that pieced block??? Please, I'm dying to know.
    Xoxox--TYSveryM for all you do to educate us so nicely!

    Would it hurt to also do a soak in Retayne? Or is that totally unnecessary? I feel like it might give even more resistance to fading, when the quilt gets washed. Thoughts?

      @@MargoDiPatri Yes, i missed that, too. Laura didn't show us whether she lined that photo or not, and how? I don't think it was just pieced onto the 4 strips, or was it? That would leave raw edges inside the pillow--or how would they have been finished?

    • @alexandradombrowski4915
      @alexandradombrowski4915 2 роки тому

    Why will a lazer printer not work?

    • @sarahfordyce8889
      @sarahfordyce8889 2 роки тому +2

      I think it's because a laser uses toner but this needs the actual ink of an ink jet printer.
