Holy shit, guys, an idea for a One-Shot: A one shot run by Darin De Paul (or Matt (or Matt's Mom)) for Parents of the CR Cast that are willing to try to play, with the 'kids' helping where need be.
I wanted to thank Marishas dad. I was at the Steampunk Convention referenced on his shirt. I had never watched Critical Role. It was his recommendation that I give it a go that got me started. 2021. I've finally caught up.
I now kinda want to see some #everythingiscontent with everyone’s families who are willing. These are just pure wholesome fun which the world needs so badly right now.
Marisha, your dad is pure gold. And i have so much respect for you both swearing like sailors together on stream, that is so wonderful! My mom would have stopped me long ago, she swears much as well but in puplic or with guests she is suddenly the swear police XD
This is awesome. You can tell that these two really, genuinely love each other and enjoy hanging out. Makes me happy that this is the kind of relationship I have with my daughters.
Quite the dutchman myself. Also grew up on a farm. Broke and sunk my fair share of ATVs and broke my leg on a motorbike. Odd how much I can relate to these two in ways. This is very wholesome too. Big fan.
It's so nice to witness a healthy father-daughter relationship. This is what I always wished for and I'm happy to see they get to live it. Very heartwarming :)
Comment is a bit late and I don't expect it to be seen, but I wanted to share. My dad handed me a controller when I was 3 as well. The game was Megaman. We later bonded over video games playing Super Mario Bros 1 all the way to Super Mario World and continued playing various Nintendo games up to and including the Gamecube. The last games we played were Pikmin and Animal Crossing, trading furniture and competing in Pikmin growing challenges. He passed away when I was 21 (October 2008), but this brought back some pretty amazing memories. Thank you. :)
Depending, naturally, but this is technically a let's play with voice overs, so they shouldn't get copyright striked or taken down. Then again, Nintendo are a bit edgy when it comes to their IPs.
@@Quadraxis They don't give a damn what kind of format this is. You use anything beloning to Nintendo, you have to pay for it or they will simply take it down. Which is why there are barely any lets players doing Nintendo IPs. They would either have to do some contract which would make their whole channel a partner and part property of Nintendo or every single would need some kind of contract deal, don't know the details because this thing is just too crazy.
I got settled in and was all on board to watch, but only made it about 6 minutes before realizing how bad of an idea that was. This video starts with a story that hit me right at home. My father put a Nintendo controller in my hands at the age of 2 and would watch me as I figured everything out. In my case, that's where that story ends. My father died in a work accident before my third birthday, so watching this video quickly became like watching a literal "What if" movie played before my eyes. How this genuinely didn't even remotely occur to me as a possibility before clicking play, I will never know.
@@robertbogan225 "Different" makes it sound like my whole life would have changed or that I would have ended up differently than I am now, for better or for worse, and that's not really the feeling I got from my short time watching this video. that moment when playing with parents and you have to pretend to be worse at gaming then you actually are so you dont just completely bury their progress in the dirt
Out of curiosity I looked into the Bourbon thing and while the usage of the "Bourbon" name potentially originated from Kentucky being made there is not a part of any countries requirements for usage of the name. Every country require the origin to be the US, and the US itself has a number of requirements on how it's made, be there's no Kentucky related requirements.

Hey Marisha and Dadleth. Love the episode. Big Fan. One thing and don't wanna seem like a dick just wanna try and spread the Whisky knowledge all around. So Whisk(e)y is a beautiful thing with many different facets. In America there is a strong tradition of Whisk(with an)ey. Kentucky Bourbon is its own variety. Now you said that if it's not from Kentucky it can't be called Bourbon, ACTUALLY, that isn't true. Provided the most prevalent grain is corn, it is a Bourbon. However you aren't completely incorrect, because Kentucky Bourbon is a very SPECIFIC kind of Bourbon that needs to come from Kentucky. Similarly to how Scotch (Whisky to those of us in Scotland), must be a minimum of 3 years old, have the malt grown in Scotland, be distilled here, and aged here, and be aged in a cask that once contained SOME OTHER KIND of alcohol, and be 38% min, Kentucky Bourbon must meet all other federal regulations for Bourbon (I belieeeeve.... may be wrong): be aged for 6 mos, be aged in an oak cask, and be min of 35%, but must also be made in Kentucky. You can have Bourbon from elsewhere, and there is some very beautiful Bourbon from outside Kentucky (may I suggest New Orleans), but that said.... damn do y'all (I hope this Scot used the term correctly!) made some good shyte

Do ALL dads quiz their children on old music? Mine definitely did too haha
Oh boy, not only that, coming from a bilingual family, we're also quizzed on old Spanish music.
PyroTechNick777 haha-that’s tough!
Mine does, but that's kind of cheating as he makes a living playing and teaching music...
Mine was called jukebox in the Navy, so yes lol

20:54 "Final filming of all work no play" !? Marisha please tell me you misspoke???
Probably just this season.
God I hope so.
Probably just the filming for that week's episode, I assume they film the two segments (one studio, one outdoors) across a couple of days.
