Ironic that you put both Escharum and Tremonius at the same tier, considering that Escharum actually tells the Master Chief that Tremonius is far from the best of the Banished.
@@conradmiller8941 well I think Tremonius is quite a challenge in terms of starting difficult at this point you hardly have any upgrades and your shield strength is pretty basic so it makes Escharum stand out if you didn't gather any points at all to beef up your defense.

Harbinger Cheiftain is a little easier as long as you ensure to keep a good distance away from him and are a good enough shot to axe the snipers quickly. The other enemies can't get you if you stand on the flaps above some of the doorways and use the shield. The cloaking on the turbo thing was vital for closing the distance, too. It was tough, but I beat him while carrying the diminisher of hope alllll the way to the harbinger solely to beat the tar out of her with it. That means I saved that weapon, mostly, for her. I had only 30% to spare for other enemies. Finished her off with the cheiftain's weapon.
Most of these bosses can be cheesed by abusing the open world and real time cutscenes. Tremonius: stack up fusion coils on the elevator. Spartan killers: lure hyperious into the corner with the ship debris or just somewhere safe, hijack him, and then quickly turn around and boost into him before he can get away. Lure tovarus down or just shoot him from the ship’s wreckage. Bassus: bring in a marine with an explosive weapon. There’s a marine with a breacher BR and a mongoose you’ll need to use on the cliff next to the hole in the ground. Go up the grav lift with the marine on your mongoose, and activate the boss before he can run back out. If you brought an explosive weapon, Bassus will be pushed into the wall during the cutscene, but usually exposed enough to where you can shoot him. Chak lok and Jega: hold your ground in the front of the room where you start (Jega) and in the middle area (Chak lok) use your threat sensor and the electric grenade thing to expose and stun them, then output as much damage as you can. Harbinger and Escharum: can’t really be cheesed, just use the fact that you have a large area to work with to your advantage and don’t play too aggressively, especially with harbinger. You can lure her chieftain across the room and try to take him out before you get sniped, but that’s about it. Adjutant resolution: he’s pretty easy IMO, just bring high damage weapons and burn him down before he can spawn too many sentinels. His first encounter can probably be beaten by a toddler, and his second encounter doesn’t get much harder. Just make sure you do have a ranged weapon like a BR, or else the sentinels with the ungrappleable shields become a nuisance.
I had no idea that the brute brothers were story bosses, I thought they were just like the hunters. I had a warthog for the fight and the chain gun absolutely DESTROYED those guys. (This was on normal)

But my go-to weapon in general is the Commando. My standard loadout was the Commando and Volatile Skewer, but depending on what enemies I expect to face and what ranges I expect to be fighting at, I’ll sometimes swap the Skewer for the Arcane Sentinel Beam.
The spartan killer guys were easy on heroic. On the 3rd AA gun, there’s a gravity hammer next to the power source for the grab lift, take it, make your way to the boss battle, hijack the chopper, kill the first one with it, then gravity hammer the second guy. Took me like 5 mins
The first time I played the campaign I couldn't find Jega's body but then using the scorpion gun on him I could see his dead body, the details on him and his red eyes are amazing!!!
Banished hunters guarding the catch skull, SSS+ tier. Found them on accident very early and did not come prepared. Tried taking those guys out from the corridor so I'd have an easy fallback position but instead the door closes and I get spawned into the room with no escape.
My tip from the absolutely infuriating harbinger boss on legendary is use a grenade on the nearest door while opening then constantly be running around the arena looking back evry now and then to pick off anyone you can.
I actually just found a cheese strat for Jega earlier today. Jump over one of the holes that lead to the bottom level, and when he goes to chase you if you melee him, he'll be knocked down to the lower level and will either try to jump back up, or stay down there until he disappears. You can either just keep using melees when he tries to jump back up, throw every grenade you have down there, or constantly shoot him before he jumps back up. Made me get through the fight easily when I did that lol
For me Escharum was the only one that almost caused me to rage. He's just so fast and moving through those hallways along the side can be tough with all those boxes in the way, even with the grapple hook.
Your list is spot on! I quit playing the campaign for several days after dying to Escharum (that prick) for 45 minutes. I still haven’t beaten him and plan to tomorrow.
Also shock rifle ..two shots...then grapple to ceiling over head and go over him...turn round shock rifle twice... Wait for him to rjsh with the hammer. Then grapple above him to go over him....will need to reload tho...that's the dangerous part...I hate this prick tho
I've only played on heroic so far but to me basically the elites were infuriating and the brutes weren't. I literally liked Hyperius on the first try from a ghost, but man... The two elites made me so fucking angry
I had a cheese for the harbinger brute chieftain. Don't know if it would work on legendary though. Use a sentinel beam and position yourself below one of the ammo balconies. Eliminate the downstairs guys first then grapple and jump between the balcony and floor everytime the chieftain gets near enough. The hardlight ammo box would keep you fed till he dies.
Dawg what? I immediately turned hyperius’s chopper on him and boosted since it does extra damage and it killed him less than a minute. He’s the easier one of the brothers
"Jega can't be cheesed like other bosses" Before the boss fight place every single fusion coil in the arena right where he spawns in and then schwack him with a bulldog. Less than 30 seconds between the end of the cutscene and him dying
Bassis can also be cheesed by grabbing a machine gun turret before going back up one of the grav lifts, dropping it in front of a side ramp into the central area and after the fight starts, run back to the turret, grapple hook onto the Ledge above one the doorway and then grapple hook the turret into your hands. All you need to do after that is PEW PEW PEW PEW PEW HIM INTO OBLIVION!!!!! Also having the Bandana Skull helps SOOOO much as well xD
You can use the same cheese strategy against the Chieftain during the Harbinger fight as Bassus. Just jump up and down from one of the platforms on the map. He’ll have to walk a long way around to get up, and when he gets close just hop down, then hop back up when he hops down.
Recharging sentinel beams on the hard light ammo refills was my strat for the final two bosses, helps take out the sentinels and absolutely wrecks the chieftan.
I did my first run on the game on legendary while carrying the assault rifle you get at the start of the game. I found myself in many situations where I only had one weapon with ammo because of this. Once I beat and cleared everything. I sent it back into space so it can rest with the marine, Chief took it from.
Just completed my legendary run not too long ago and I too, hated the last phase for Harbinger. The Skimmers, for some reason, were so accurate. They would shoot me from across the arena with ease. And it wasn’t easy focusing on them with the brute chasing me around.
funny bc bassus actually has so far been the most difficult to deal with. i didnt know u could break him with that glotchtho. but he fucked me up numerous times on lower than legendary and playing with headphones and hearing him get close to me as my back turned had me STRESSSSSSING
LASO Escharum is a nightmare. Scrap cannon is a 2-3 shot no shields and unless you gave the Blademaster a smack or two you’ve got not shields. Grapple stun to drop wall is the best way I’ve found to get away from him (since 343 thought they should spawn him 5 feet from you)
Bassus has another exploit, where if you run outside the main room you can jump on a tiny ledge above the door. Big monkey literally cannot seem to understand how a 1000 pound spartan can fit on a tiny ledge, so he just stands there looking at you. You may need to get a lot of ammo before starting, especially on legendary difficulty. Note: this exploit is somewhat untested, since I did this on heroic and normal.
The only boss I had difficulty with was Jega I died so many times and raged I exited the game and switched to easy to see if the fight was going to be easier
Hyperius was byfar the hardest boss in infinite on legendary and one of the easiest on lower difficulties, its also a little difficult to take out his brother first with bike monkey after you
If you wanna troll some boss fights. While fighting Bassus grapple on the ledge above the door you enter to turn off the lazer. For Chak 'Lok find where he spawns and load it with fusion/blast/etc coils then itiniate the fight. One nade or rocket will drop his health fast. Then dodge around the pillar and the hole using melees alot. For Tremonius play peek-a-boo around the corners using thr treat sensor to keep track of him. Once you reach his stage where he uses his grav. hammer grapple to the top of one of the glowy things you've blown up. He'll toss a couple spikes but he cant hit you with his hammer.
You can cheese Jega, all you gotta do is pile up a bunch of fusion coils in the room at where he stands after the cut scene and immediately throw a stick grenade.
For real. I got stuck there until i realized i could cheese them by hiding behind the crates against the wall and jumping up to shoot them before jumling back down. They can't get you from there
Actually when i beat Jega earlier today during my speedrun on easy, I could see his invisible body because he was just at the limits of my threat sensors boundaries. But after a few grav hammer hits on his dead body, it… disappeared. I couldn't see its contours anymore, and now I'm really confused. I thought too that he was still alive when I beat him the previous times, but now that I could see that his body was still here, I'm not so sure anymore.
Jega can definitely be cheesed. I beat him in under a minute. All you have to do is jump over that rectangular hole in the ground a few times and punch him down to the lower level. If you stand on the edge, his AI will stand there confused and occasionally try to jump up to you through the hole he fell down. You can just melee him back down and shred his shields with a plasma weapon in literal seconds.
A piece of advice to anyone that wants to fight the harbinger: be REALLY careful with YOUR explosives and hammer, specially if it is in a LASO run. When I was playing on easy (to get collectibles and skulls), I tried to use escharum's hammer to kill her while she was down after the first wave of enemies. And I don't remember exactly how it happened... BUT SHE ENDED UP GOING INSIDE A WALL AND GLITCHING THE ENTIRE LEVEL. Fortunately, as I mentioned before, it was on easy, so I reset the mission and completed it again in about 5 minutes. But yeah, be relly careful with that, your best option for high damage and no knockback should be a sword.
The harbinger I found kinda between a-b tier. But the chieftan is the one that makes us all want to break the controller or keyboard + mouse. My only way of finding the best way of eliminating the chieftan is 1. Have plasma grenades and an energy sword (blood, normal or the one off okro) 1 continued. If too hard for close range, use a burst rifle, dynamo grenades and a sniper (shock or S7) 2. Kill all the other enemies first besides the chieftan 3. Keep your distance after each energy sword hit. Getting too close will have him turn you into grated cheese. Once you hit him, thruster away then grapple away. 4. Repeat
I think the roboboi boss fight was pure fan service, I understand if you didn’t play much halo 2 back in the day that it would be pretty lame as an easy fight. But to be honest I thought it was an awesome and super fun throwback to the big ass sentinel constructors from 2’s campaign that were always a ton of fun to fight.
I glitched the brute brothers bossfight by a pure fucking miracle, I boarded the custom brute bike, and killed the first boss with the massive melee damage of the vehicle before the other one spawned in, counted both as dead
Bassus for me was by far the hardest boss. However you have the opportunity to literally pile a fuck ton of fusion coils where he spawns before you initiate the cut scene. Shoot them when he spawns and it’s almost an insta kill
You can cheese tf out of a few of these bosses. Gather up as many power cubes as you can and learn where they'll be standing once the boss fight begins. Tremonious can be killed in seconds by stacking at least 8 right where he lands and shooting them. Same with Jega.
I've been tackling these bosses on legendary with only the two human pistol weapons, been a real challenge. I've cleared all the way through Escheram, not looking forward to the Harbinger fight. May just turn on Bandanna for that one.
well this video makes me feel good about getting some of them first try saving my power weapons def paid off a couple of times, so far on my legendary playthrough I only died more than 5 times in a row on the same checkpoint against regular enemies but not bosses
Jega is F, he can totally be cheesed. Before you activate the arena by picking up the medallion. You can collect all the exploding boxes place them where the encounter starts and blow up up with 2 rockets. While fight will take 10 sec Max if he survives just headshot him with a the br after.
7:28 when I fought jega I just gathered every sing blast coil or anything, and when he appeared, I just shot the coils, and he dead now. (It was on easy mode tho) And also, jega is dead. After when he died, in don’t know if it was the threat sensor or anything, but his body was IN THE AIR

I’m pretty good at halo, but even on normal those hunters kicked my-
Tried taking those guys out from the corridor so I'd have an easy fallback position but instead the door closes and I get spawned into the room with no escape.
I didn’t think so. I had the legendary hammer from the fight before and used that.
Fighting with escharaum with the bloodblade is awesome. It stuns him ever 3 second or so dipping jn and out of the range is awesome
Best of luck! Remember the needler is your friend!
Also shock rifle ..two shots...then grapple to ceiling over head and go over him...turn round shock rifle twice... Wait for him to rjsh with the hammer. Then grapple above him to go over him....will need to reload tho...that's the dangerous part...I hate this prick tho
And disruptor, geez I couldn’t believe it at first until I used it
I've only played on heroic so far but to me basically the elites were infuriating and the brutes weren't. I literally liked Hyperius on the first try from a ghost, but man... The two elites made me so fucking angry
Me too!
Oh my lord the Harbinger fight was actually torture. That sniper Chieftain mix was brutal.
I legit lol'd when he said "He killed me with a box!"
On legendary too?
@@Nikos. yeah that was my only strat for that battle, it still took me way to many deaths
Hyperious was cake with the gravity hammer and shotty. Thanks for the Bassus tip. He gave me the rage bro.
"Jega can't be cheesed like other bosses"
Before the boss fight place every single fusion coil in the arena right where he spawns in and then schwack him with a bulldog. Less than 30 seconds between the end of the cutscene and him dying
The harbinger boss on LASO broke me, the fight is ridiculous unfair with the minions! Glad the scorpion gun existed!
You look really closely you can see what looks like a dust cloud of Jega running away right where he died
Recharging sentinel beams on the hard light ammo refills was my strat for the final two bosses, helps take out the sentinels and absolutely wrecks the chieftan.
the brute chieftan in the harbinger fight made me break my controller
The final pair of banished banished hunters belong high up here too
I did my first run on the game on legendary while carrying the assault rifle you get at the start of the game.
The chieftain during the harbinger fight is actually a named character called “Warlord Horatius”
"Hyperius is..." BK AD plays, "AT BK! HAVE IT YOUR WAY!" XD
dude bassus and eschrum made me unnecessarily mad, the combination between their speed with their hammers, and their one shot kills did it for me
The only boss I had difficulty with was Jega I died so many times and raged I exited the game and switched to easy to see if the fight was going to be easier
You are not a bad player you are a legend
“This brute chieftain is the hardest boss in the game” finally somebody gets it
Hyperius was byfar the hardest boss in infinite on legendary and one of the easiest on lower difficulties, its also a little difficult to take out his brother first with bike monkey after you
Thanks for the timestamps King 👑
Red armored Hunters. I have a tendency to deplete all my ammo trying to take those pile of worms out.
What if you wanted to go to heaven, but god said:
"ALL EVENTUALLY FALL TO BASSUS"
On Legendary, the two hunters in the Silent Auditorium are hard, but the inconsistent checkpoint system makes the encounter rage inducing.
For real. I got stuck there until i realized i could cheese them by hiding behind the crates against the wall and jumping up to shoot them before jumling back down. They can't get you from there
Love the ftl background music
I found the disruptor weirdly useful against the hammer chads, it's only really useful for enemies with 2x cheifs health tho.
My only way of finding the best way of eliminating the chieftan is
1. Have plasma grenades and an energy sword (blood, normal or the one off okro)
1 continued. If too hard for close range, use a burst rifle, dynamo grenades and a sniper (shock or S7)
2. Kill all the other enemies first besides the chieftan
Welcome to my Tower master chief, it is where you will go back in the soder
Bassus for me was by far the hardest boss. However you have the opportunity to literally pile a fuck ton of fusion coils where he spawns before you initiate the cut scene. Shoot them when he spawns and it’s almost an insta kill
Against bassus, plant vehicles in the arena during the part where the bottom area is open, then splatter him with a chopper. That's what I did
Bassus would be really difficult if the game didn't load you up with a ton of grenades, a Spanker and a Skewer right before it.
You can cheese tf out of a few of these bosses. Gather up as many power cubes as you can and learn where they'll be standing once the boss fight begins. Tremonious can be killed in seconds by stacking at least 8 right where he lands and shooting them. Same with Jega.
Great video, loved the facial expressions.
I've been tackling these bosses on legendary with only the two human pistol weapons, been a real challenge. I've cleared all the way through Escheram, not looking forward to the Harbinger fight.
May just turn on Bandanna for that one.
fun fact if you hijack hyperius's brute chopper the entire fight becomes a piece of cake :)
When I got to the brute brothers I got in a ghost and cheesed them from a distance on top of one of the big pieces of wreckage. 😅
well this video makes me feel good about getting some of them first try saving my power weapons def paid off a couple of times, so far on my legendary playthrough I only died more than 5 times in a row on the same checkpoint against regular enemies but not bosses
I find the disruptor the ultimate cheese weapon for Tremonius for some reason he just can't handle it
I hopped in a warthog turret and blew up Hyperious’s chopper. He hopped out and then I took him down with various weapons.
I certainly agree with his rating on Hyperius
Escharum is a pain in the ass until I found the strategy to play and "hide" behind the boxes. He won't jump at you if he don't have a direct line.
Jega is F, he can totally be cheesed. Before you activate the arena by picking up the medallion. You can collect all the exploding boxes place them where the encounter starts and blow up up with 2 rockets. While fight will take 10 sec Max if he survives just headshot him with a the br after.
On my playthrough, I just shot at Hyperious's chopper with a lock-on rocket, it killed him instantly
its sad that hyperius is upset and in anger over his brothers death but if reversed travourius doesnt care
7:28 when I fought jega I just gathered every sing blast coil or anything, and when he appeared, I just shot the coils, and he dead now.
(It was on easy mode tho)
And also, jega is dead. After when he died, in don’t know if it was the threat sensor or anything, but his body was IN THE AIR
Nikos: this is particularly due that he cant be cheesed like other bosses
Me who cheesed him: are you sure about that?
I've been defeated 😔😔😔
@@Nikos. Sorry I cant send a picture because Xbox clips never recorded it so I cant send it to anyone I'm trying to fix it right now though
Edit: the only way I can send it to you is if I know your Xbox account
