I like to think that the teabagging as you beat him, is cannonical; a momentary lapse of emotion, before the Chief realises an AI and a human are both in the room, watching one of his finest moments as a warrior, so he shows Escharum respect.

Considering he comes from a background of "the strongest triumphs", I understand his character motivations completely, even if there isn't much in the way of development. He was a formidable opponent who respected the Master Chief, and would have preferred to have been beaten by his hand, than to die from an illness. Either that or he defeats the Master Chief, and he dies with peace of mind that he defeated the champion of all those who caused him so much trouble. It's fantastic.

love that line,it kinda means that Echarum believes that people dont defeat chief but instead they survive his attack and that is the reason they tell the story
Lmao at how they tried to add character depth at the end by using Chief to say stuff like "questioning his choices". NO, he was cartoon mustache twirling villain the whole time.

Plasma rifle and needler/mangler best set up. Distance yourself from tremonius and pick off the jackals. Plasma rifle two bursts will take his shield out completely, then it’s a matter of finding cover and disengaging to medium-long range combat. If I’m not mistaken there’s a skewer somewhere in the room as well that you can try to make use of when his shields are down
Pulse carbine or plasma pistol to take out his shields quickly, then needle him. Just never let him have a clear shot at you for more than a couple seconds. As long as you can play ring around the rosy with walls and cover and only expose yourself long enough to do some damage and recover safely

The intro cutscene for this boss fight is still the best IMO
It has the "This is finally happening" vibes + Escharum's roar made it even better lol XD
I was wearing headphones when I heard his roar. Shook my soul and I was like, “Well damn. Imma kinda screwed rn.”
The build up throughout the whole game is what made it for me. When he roars at the end i had chills down my spine.
