DID YOU FIX THE 22 SOFTWARE my brand new 22 came off the showroom floor with a broken software package. Cant connect my phone or use the app. WTF? Did you fix it yet?
I wish/hope KTM makes some of the software changes available to older 790/890 owners. Specifically the feature where braking mode is linked to ride mode is appealing. While I could argue this how it should have been done in the first place and should therefore be offered as a free update at the next service, I could live with a modest fee.
Did I hear that right? All the electronics are available and installed on the bike, for the first 1500 miles you can use it for free, then the computer shuts it down?? So you have to pay to make the computer turn these things back on?
I really like everything about my 790 except the wide seat. Can’t do much about it because it’s the frame that keeps it wide. Hopefully this new one will be better. I’m thinking this bike with all the performance features will be close to $16,000 which is a real buzz kill.
try before you buy instead of buy before you use! it sounds better to me. with the 790 and pre 23 890 it was installed on the bike but you had to buy it before you could use it.
The fact you have to pay extra for software that already comes installed on it is BS. Hopefully a 3rd party comes out with a piggy back system that will unlock everything so ktm doesn't see a dime of that extra money. If you're going to nickle and dime your customers for features, you don't deserve any extra profit.
It makes financial sense. It costs the manufacturer less money to just make 1 model. They also let you try everything. Then you just pay what you would have already paid *up front* for the add-ons anyways I'm anti big business, sure, but I'm not gonna act like this is somehow worse for me than the past. The company is still gonna charge for the features, at least now I can try a quick shifter before I decide not to buy it 🤷
This has been going on for years. I had to pay extra to unlock software on my 790. All this hype because they let you try it for free. I wish I had that option. I paid 15k to unlock self driving on my Tesla. I get it. Research on this stuff is cutting edge and expensive and risky to do. Amazing the whining on a bunch of hype some youtubers capitalized on and spun up the masses. If you don’t like it, go buy a GS. That’s what capitalism is all about.

The idea is that those cost savings come back to the manufacturer, which (hopefully) comes down to the customer. That's the point.
I really like the TFT display. If the KTM installs TFT display on duke250 i will really appreciate not only me but even the other KTM lovers from India. Even if the TFT is not exactly like the duke390, because TFT displays give a smart look on the bike. I'm waiting for that day to come 😅
Sounds like an advertisement for KTM. Hard to believe there are no negatives… always respect a Birch video but this was just too obviously a paid promotion.

This is the most full of she...t video 😂 That luggage on off-road is the best fun, the weight on off-road especially with the luggage is helpful especially when the bike is on weather or mud. It's a bike for on road and some gravel roads, nothing to hard.
as a KTM service mechanic, I have to admit, that after about 15k, the engine needs to be disassembled and lots of parts replaced. They are not very good quality. the riding characteristics and reviews of the PRO enduro rider is certainly appealing, off-road characteristics and handling are breathtaking , but for longer trips, I would choose a different motorcycle. it is not a motorcycle with a long life.
So KTM gives you all of the riding modes for 1500 km, but then you have to purchase them?! That's fu*&ing ridiculous. As if their bikes don't cost enough already, they've now installed a money grab for something that literally costs them no more money out of the factory. No thanks.

for real, don't think I could do a 390 but idk I'm coming from a 2022 kx450 so not sure if the 390 would tickle my fancy as far as speed

DEMO MODE - that's a deal killer.
The last years bike didn't have it. It's a way to upsell features. I'm not that upset about it.

I don't think so. AFAIK the 790 suspension is not rebound/compression adjustable.

As a KTM owner I would have to disagree, my 2019 790 Adventure has covered 40k now and has required nothing more than the scheduled servicing.
