@@ChrisBirchNZ same! My buddy was so worked at that point. He tried like 20x. I thought he was gonna have a stroke. I had to ride it for him. No way I would hit that shit on my 640
Amazing! Great riding and great quality video. Always impressive to see what these bikes can do in the right hands. The lead rider looks pretty handy on his 890 too.
Did much of Moab on a Husky TE510 before I had my 500 EXC, and did 5 Miles of Hell on a GasGas TXT 300 Pro. Would not want have tried the more difficult trails in Moab on an adventure bike. Do now have a KTM 1190R but save it for the milder stuff. Hats off to you guys for giving it a go.
Wow!...that's an awesome trail!...really challenging for that big 890!...I'm not sure if I dare to do it in my 350 Freeride!...😅. You are having such a fun ride!, I can see that you are a great bunch of dear friends! (13:55...😄😆😂🤣). Magnificent riding and great video Chris & pal's, thank you!.
This is from the Blue Tees, great riding, just amazing. The navigation over this terrain is inspirational. Crazy cool to watch, especially on these bigger bikes.
WOW, for those guys everything looks so easy and probably it is, but for someone who doesn't have their skills I would think that that trail could be almost impossible to cope with. I don't really have any idea on how hard that trail can be, it's difficult to understand by the footage. At a certain point you see that the rider has to face a big boulder and suddenly, apparently without any efforts, the rider is beyond that, was that difficult? Considering that we are talking about excellent riders, probably champions (Chris Birch surely is), I think so. Thanks for your awesome video!
Nice. That's one of my favorite Moab trails. I figured over time some hard enduro pro like Birch, Jarvis, or Riemann would make a go of it. Kind of getting excited about buying a new KTM 890.
Get a 2022 or 2021. The 2023 gives you nothing new & costs more. I own the 2022 890 adv close to 3k miles now. Love it Ps sorry for your notifications can't edit have to delete and remake.
@@brendtoconnell6119 I'd see if they can get you the tech pack autoblipper/shifter, cruise control & rally mode thrown in for getting last year's model off their hands. My dealer wanted 500usd for everything or between 150-300 individually.

Increíble lugar. Belleza natural por todos lados. Increíble que lleven esas motos por sendas más propias de moto de enduro 🤷🏻♂️ Y en realidad me parece innecesario usar estas motos para esos recorridos. Is this the unofficial launch of the KTM 890 Enduro R? I'd have trouble hiking up some of that. Awesome skills and on a 200kg bike as well. Thanks for sharing Chris👍
I probably couldn't do that on my own 300. I certainly could not do it on an 890, and wouldn't want to try, on my own bike. Maybe on someone else's 890? KTM should give Birch as many bikes as he needs. Goodness knows how many he'll sell for them.

Hey Chris, hope all is well! Since you are the only person I know to ride the new 2023 ktm 890 adv R do you think the new fairing has eliminated the air buffeting?
@@ChrisBirchNZ thanks. Another question, when are riding the 890 say in moab what settings are you riding in? I was riding nasty terrain in AZ this weekend and the bike kept stalling out on inclines. I was in rally/rally/ abs off. Any suggestions? Thanks for you advise.

I was pretty happy with that line!
This is a hell of a trail. That stair steps at the beginning are exciting on the way out too. Amazing hitting it on the big bikes
Yeah, I got to those final steps and thought "damn it I forgot about that"

Did he get a hole in his gas tank? And have you ever got a hole in the gas tank due to being so low?
