- Last year I played some of the worst medical games on the App Store. Turns out that since then, the bar has been lowered. I dove back into the maddening world of mobile medical games and was GREATLY disappointed in the results. Using steroid cremes to treat pustules, force-feeding cheeseburgers to children, rubbing a pirates stomach to alleviate gas? None of this is medically accurate. Also, why so many ads for malpractice lawyers? Are the children playing these games REALLY seeking legal representation?? WHO MADE THESE??

i know this is a super old video so obviously i’m late, but i just recently discovered your channel. not only do i like your videos, but i also love to see Bear in them and the relationship that the two of you have. I had a Bernese Mountain Dog, Toby, who we had to put down this past March (2021) because he had cancer. It was so hard, and I still miss him every single day. So it really warms my heart to see another person and big fluffy dog get to have the same close relationship that I had with Toby ❤️

Nah. Nurses would be doing stuff on the medical front like monitoring and giving medications, as well as taking vitals, etc.
The grooming stuff is a Certified Nursing Assistant's job.
JJJ Love In Denmark, we nurses do all of it - monitoring, taking vitals, performing loads of procedures, grooming, feeding, bathing and loads more, not to mention talk to patients. Then again, might be different elsewhere 🤷🏻♂️
@@SebMoellerM Yes I suppose it is a bit different. Here in the US, us nurses do the essentials of patient care like I said before with the vitals, medicating, monitoring, attending to patient needs, etc.
When it comes to basic grooming like mouth care, nail clipping like the game the doctor was playing, that's something the facilities delegate to our CNAs.
Us Nurses would be the ones providing those things like mouth care and bathing to special patients who require another level of sensitive care such as those on a ventilator, or a certain level of paralysis for example.
Otherwise if they are not a special needs/sensitive case type of patient, the CNAs perform basic care.
One thing is for certain, like you mentioned: talking to them is definitely expected for healthcare providers all across the board. It's very important to make your patients feel comfortable. 🙂

JJJ Love Interesting. Funny how different places can go about the same tasks differently. In nursing homes, we have caretakers, who basically are trained in basic nursing - hygiene, communication, nutrition, etc. Any patient with a higher need for care, or who has gotten acutely ill, is taken care of by either an assistant nurse (which is what I am), or a proper nurse - the main difference between the two is, that nurses have a bachelor’s degree and are allowed to perform IV-procedures. Otherwise, the two are interchangeable 👍🏻
JJJ Love I think we have this in France, that’s what we call « aide soignants » (Google translate it by caregiver). Maybe it’s a different thing idk but yeah here nurses aren’t doing such things as clip the nails. Even outside the hospital they came to give the medication or prepare the pillbox, do the medical care like treat an injury, take a blood test.etc

Designing a hospital as an Architect in real life is the THE MOST STRESSFUL “MEDICAL GAME” i’ve ever played

Jaded Kate obviously I did, hospitals are really complex and sensitive, each thing should be placed perfectly which makes it stressful yet fun to work on.
The hospital near where I live basically looks like a shopping centre or airport lol (anna-laberge hospital) but I personally love hospitals that don’t look or feel like one and have a lot of windows and natural light and nice views, it makes everything better
