Sad they discontinued these vstars so I heard least cant find anymore on yahamas website . I have a 2014 model I pick up in 2016 on the cheap. Great long distance bike that is which I am gonna be doing with mine along with back road riding.

It's a 5 speed .. I got me a 2013 Yamaha xvs 950.... Absolutely love it.. highly recommend it

The 950 vstar is fuel injection, the 1100 is Carburetor

I'm used to an 1100 vstar. Moved to a city so looking for something smaller/nimbler but do plan on riding in the country and on the highway occasionally. Think this will work for me? Can it keep up on back roads and on the occasional highway?

I've noticed that's there's a Yamaha V Star 950, but I've also heard of a brand called Star, which produces the same bike, name and all. Are Yamaha and Star related in any way?

$6995. LOL! In 2023 I paid $3500 for a 2015 950 with Viking bags and a windshield. Only had 4500 miles on it.
