I love you for loving them. They're my all time favorite band. They have so many good songs. The whole album of bloody kisses has all of the songs connected. RIP PETER
Those solos between Peter's foreign-tongued chants... I believe are actually Josh Silver's keyboard. That man knew no limits with his fucking keys. Lol.
They released this twice... once with a bonus cd with like 5 live songs, and the best, with a bonus dvd, with that songs and an interview. In that interview Peter told that "Halloween in heaven" was dedicated to Dimebag Darrel, who was a close friend of the band and of Kenny specially... but they didn't put anything on the first release because they didn't want people thinking that they were profiting on Dimebag's death. And in that interview Peter said something like "they always ask why I always wear black, it seems that every couple of months a friend dies and we have to go to a funeral, I hope I am next". Bro was spitings facts, sadly.
Check out Eye Am - Cryptomnesia and Dreams Always Die With The Sun. Kenny Hickey and Johnny Kelly from Type O Negative teamed up with Kurt Windstein and Todd Strange from Crowbar. Kenny and Johnny also did Seventh Void - Heaven Is Gone.
I haven't listened to Dead Again in quite awhile. Great album. The copy I have was sold by Best Buy in this country and came with a bonus CD that has live tracks from the 1999 Bizarre Festival.
Probably my favorite Type O Negative song and there's a lot of great ones. Love the use of two vocalists, the keyboards and the whole crazy latter section. The language Peter Steele is singing in is his made up language of Vinland, which is an area of North America explored by Vikings and what Steele considered his "homeland." I've seen it called Vinnish or Vinlandic, although Vinlandic is an actual language.
Elizabeth was with Peter for a long time till they split up. This song s about her. Peter never got over her. I would love a reaction to the dream is dead which is a song about peter’s dad passing away.

This is not their best album, which is not to say its not phenomenal in its own right. I was away from my family in the desert for a very long time. It was lonely and hard. I listened to this album over and over when it came out. It holds a special place for me.
If you listen to the part where it goes "yet in the dark still he screams your name" he is screaming Elizabeth in a whisper.

Some of the guys started a band called A Pale Horse Named Death.
I got to meet Peter in 2008 and still have his autograph photo plus the pick he used. RIP brother 😢

I love Type O Negative. I’m also digging that bandanna and iron maiden shirt! You never cease to amaze me do you?
He's singing in a made up language, it's jibberish that sounds Russian, to fit the theme of the Rasputin album cover.

Ahh okay, thanks for telling me this! Wonder if I could find an interview where he talks about that.

Is this a scientific breakdown of the song or just a bunch of stuff you made up? I'm really asking. If it's the former, could you explain?
