Nice! Finally somebody did a real world video without any BS.Prob gonna use this on my F150 front bumper. Previous owner painted it to match the rest of the truck needless to say paint is flaking off the chrome even though they scuffed it up first. This way i can just touch it up as needed. Thanks man!!
Looks great! I was surprised that it came out a little more matte than the cap would lead you to believe, but it still looks great! I would get 'finger-fatigue' using the spray cans that long!
Question, why black gloss first? I’m just really curious bc I plan on doing this soon! Thanks! It’s been 2 years so I doubt I’ll get a reply, but I’m going to try this anyway!
Thanks for making the video. It doesn't quite look like chrome, but for its price it kicks the shit out of chrome! Especially for anything that's not a show car.
Turned out looking pretty decent! Maybe a few coats of clear to top it off also!? My problem with silver/chrome paint in the past was that it didn’t seem to cure/harden that well! Certain brands that is! I guess over the ages it’s gotten better! I’d say always pick a quality brand rattle can paint 👌💪👍🏽 A coat of real “clear coat” from the major brands (base coat clear coat?!) might be the icing on the cake 🎂
😯 that turned out looking great! I just went out and bought this paint before I watched this video, now I’m really looking forward to painting my bumper
Wow your good man. You did a really good job big thumbs up to you!! You seem to have experience in this kind of work. Good job. And paint looks better then I thought it would look
That was a pretty good job. I wonder what effect it would have had if black primer was used. Did it specifically call for the grey primer or that's what you used? I'm going to purchase a can I want to try it out.
Actually looks pretty good! I was amazed too when I painted bicycle mudguard(?). Same way primer plus gloss black and then chrome paint. 👍🏼☀️ ... what do you think.. shoutta we wetsand and polish after while? Or would it be worse after that..? 🤔
When painting with a rattle can its imperative to hold the can vertical or nearly vertical. Because the bumper is low and you're standing you tend to lay the can horizontal at time which can disrupt the spray pattern and/or flow of paint producing uneven coverage.

Add a layer of clear coat and you’ll have a cracking job
Has the bumper peeled at all??
That looks way better than I expected lol
Thank you. This is the first USEFUL video about chrome paint I've seen. Real life rather than a sales pitch.
Dam broham you made that bumper look good af
Great video! Was wondering how the chrome spray paint would look, looks great! This helps with my project.
Aw this wasnt my video bro
I'll take the non created
YOU'RE VERY WELCOME JOE
@@le0redd104 what
Good viddie!! Did you buy it at Autozone?
Good job sanding it before painting: the primer needs something to hold on to.
Surprised how well it looks! Will use this type of paint for sure!
Turned out better then I thought, I figured it would be really hazy, but you had reflection in it.👍

That turned out better than I was expecting....I’m doing my center caps on my truck, good job 👍🏻
Thank you for posting this video
Came out really nice- wonder if a darker base would pop it more
That looks pretty legit. The Chrome paints are definitely coming a long way but slowly.
Looks great! I was surprised that it came out a little more matte than the cap would lead you to believe, but it still looks great! I would get 'finger-fatigue' using the spray cans that long!
Clear coat would do it
Exercise those fingers ☝🏻😉
Black Gloss paint, chrome paint, and then a clear coat finish. It would have come out looking just like that cap. It still looks good though.
What brand would you recommend?
Thank you
i gotta question, does the clear coat dry and make it look kinda dull then when polish it comes out better
How many coats of black gloss thou

Excellent job mate for a diy job
Thanks for making the video. It doesn't quite look like chrome, but for its price it kicks the shit out of chrome! Especially for anything that's not a show car.
Can't deny the shit looks clean. Maybe some gloss?
When doing chrome paint alway's use black primer to get mirror finish.
Does the black somehow give it depth....
That theory has been disproven
Is this true ???
@@ady-bdavid1173 use gloss black, you can see a noticeable difference.
Facts. Use glossy black and wait four days after spray the glossy black paint. Apply the chrome paint on the fourth day. It will look slick .
Turned out looking pretty decent!
Maybe a few coats of clear to top it off also!?

Thank you kindly Sir..! Auto zone sold the chrome spray.. My Grill looks smooth... I appreciate the video...!
You should do a buffing and polishing video with that chrome bumper see how it comes out
It looks really good. I'm curious how it has held up over time. Any update?
That looks way better than I expected....I'm gonna get some ,I want to spray paint my vent visors
That's all right! Better than that was hanging out back before
How has it held up so far?
Came out pretty good
Nice work mate 😎im goin to paint my grille today, bcouze you inspired me to 👍🏻👋🏾
wonder if a layer of gloss varnish would enhance the reflection.
Unexpected
Looks like a new bumpher
Dang right! That looks pretty good!
You should have sprayed a clear coat on top of the Chrome to protect it and give it shine.
I’m absolutely impressed 👏 amazing result, man ☝️
Hell yeah brother, great job

You really bring to life that bumper, looks like new
You just replaced the old bumper with a new one and pretended to paint it. Naw I'm joking. Good job >:0

Looks good. Thank you for your time and review.
Fyi clear coat and a good polish would make that shine even better
That was a pretty good job. I wonder what effect it would have had if black primer was used. Did it specifically call for the grey primer or that's what you used? I'm going to purchase a can I want to try it out.
That's not a bad finish, not bad at all !

Nice job. Came out great.
Not bad dude
Came out much better then I thought it would brother! Did you put clear after it dries?
I had done this exercise with my car bumper as well but after 6 or 8 months it'd fade so first would know about paint life
Newspaper be Chrome AF😂
Dope video tho king!👍🏾
Gonna do my 48 chevy bumbers for a minute till I could afford chrome dip
Spot on mate great job and out of a rattle can
This Rustoleum Chrome is reflective but using the Rustoleum gloss black as a basecoat for the Chrome would be more reflective.
I would paint it a real shiny black first and then use the chrome spray for the best results. 😀
That's great work you sold me I'll be picking up a few can do that for my work thank you.
Wow brother looks awesome
Did the chrome spray pass the test of time?
That looks good. Well done
I want to chrome my transmission cooler and part of the radiator you can seen through the truck bumper
Good job man !
Great job
It's very nice.
would it have looked a bit more chrome like if layer of black was applied before the top coat ?
Great 👍♨️💯 job excellent work looks good
How's it holding up. This paint says on the can "For interior use only".
Lookin good Buddy,
Actually looks pretty good! I was amazed too when I painted bicycle mudguard(?).
Same way primer plus gloss black and then chrome paint. 👍🏼☀️ ... what do you think.. shoutta we wetsand and polish after while? Or would it be worse after that..? 🤔
couple clear coats and a buff I think would finish the look he's going for.
would it be good to restore a VW golf logo?🤔
excellent job brother.
😁😁😁Nicely done.
I would like to see a guy to a cut and buff on that paint. See if a guy could get a real chrome affect.
Grazie mille per il tuo video 😀
2k clear would have made it pop more
Looks good 👍

Nice job!
Lets see what it looks like today.
Use black primer and clear gloss
damn that shit look good
For better results they say paint it gloss black first
What would happen if u lay clear coat on it
Nice!! Is there any need for clear coat??
Cool good job 👍
few coats of laqre would have popped it off nicely but still good job and cheap
Если лаком сверху покрыть, блеск придаст?
