  • There are about 50 of these Vekoma boomerang coasters currently operating and many have been relocated over the years. This one opened at Trimper Rides in 1986 and only three boomerang coasters have been operating at their current park longer. Do you know which ones they are and where they are located?
    Trimper's Rides is located in Ocean City, Maryland.
    This is the exact same video as the Tidal Wave 3D on-ride POV video we posted for those that cannot view the 3D version on their phone or tablet. Here's the link to the 3D video we posted: • Tidal Wave 3D front se...

    This is the first boomerang coaster I ever went on. It's definitely best experienced at night during peak season with all the lights around you and noise of the boardwalk. It elevates a very common ride to something more.

      100% you said it just right , the energy of the boardwalk and lights give this coaster a much more exciting experience. Especially at night it's the best!!!

      It’s also pretty smooth for an old Arrow. The transitions have never banged my head around like dozens of other Arrows I’ve ridden tend to do.

    I really enjoyed this ride! Definitely one of the better boomerangs and was a good view of the rest of the park and the ocean across the street

    that pirate ship shaped ride(fun house?) looks really neat. it reminds me of one of those old rides you'd see in old black and white Coney Island photos. You know pics of those cool looking rides that no longer exist.

      Ik this is a late response and it's very interesting. They have some optical illusions and it's just fun to walk through. If you ever come to md I would recommend all of ocean cities attractions

    went on this a good 50 times this summer (i’m a local) and safe to say it’s my favorite ride there. just wish i’d discovered it sooner! (luckily i had a season pass for trimpers and hopefully i get another one in my stocking this year :))

    Well, Boomerang at La Ronde opened in 1984, Boomerang at Bellewaerde Park opened in 1984, and Sea Serpent at Morey's Pier opened in 1984. Those three Boomerangs are the ones that had opened before 1986 and have stayed in their original locations throughout all these years. :-)

    • @TitanLRV
      @TitanLRV 9 років тому +1

      Yep and La Ronde is my home park :D

    • @johnbrooks715
      @johnbrooks715 9 років тому +1

      Uriel Galindo Canada's Wonderland is my home park and The Bat (Vekoma Boomerang) opened in 1987. :-)

    • @TitanLRV
      @TitanLRV 9 років тому +1

      John Brooks Yeah a few people don't like boomerangs but I really enjoy the one at La Ronde. I ride it every time I go there because it's a little fun intense ride:)

    • @johnbrooks715
      @johnbrooks715 9 років тому +3

      Uriel Galindo I agree, boomerang coasters are little fun intense rides. I try to ride The Bat at Canada's Wonderland every time I go but, the line gets quite long very fast, throughout the whole day on busy days. But, luckily for me, I am able to get to the park before it opens to beat the mid-summer crowds. I've also been on Invertigo at Kings Island (July 2014) and Stinger at Dorney Park (June 2015) which are Vekoma Invertigo coasters. They're quite smooth and greatly enjoyable. :-)

    • @TitanLRV
      @TitanLRV 9 років тому +1

      John Brooks Yeah every time I go to La Ronde I try riding it at least once so what I do I go at the end of the day when the crowds are starting to go home and last time I did that I actually rode Boomerang 6 times (5 times in a row) and Le Vampire 5 times (4 times in a row) because there was literally no waiting time on those rides. They were both straight walk-ons. The Boomerang operators even let me ride it without getting off wich was awesome and the park was empty. But that was like at 8pm so it was pretty late .
