Then there is the fact that he blocked the vehicle access to the police station, so if any cars needed to get out on an emergency call, they couldn't. The other vehicles parked illegally on the pavement putting pedestrians at risk. If a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle, then the inspector would probably put the blame on them and not his officers for their illegal parking.

Police need to learn, an audit visit is not to wind anyone up. It is designed to test whether they know public photography and drone rights. The right to film anything from a public place, or until revoked, the right to film from a publically accessible place. How do they get this senior? Nobody was distressed here! Parking offences just ignored!!!

@@chrisc9406 But, the thing is, it shouldn't just be a civil claim. This needs to go higher and these incidents should start to go away. Treat all these incidents as serious and don't just allow them to get away with the police force to pay out a claim using our money!
Protection for the police on matters like this, not to mention the dodgy parking that any member of the public would be fined for, should simply go. The police need protection for some things, I'd wholeheartedly agree, but not for spurious, jumped up charges like the ones shown in this video.

@@adrenalinejunkie3828 Thing is, though, Mr J, is that auditors usually (and I admit it's not always the case) have a valid point to make, and this particular auditor pointed out some serious issues which were completely dismissed by the senior officer. Yes, it was baiting in a way, but a serious point was being made. The police then rode roughshod over the auditor simply because they're not used to being challenged by their own illegal practices.
I have to agree with you, though, that it does come out of our money, ultimately, and I made that point in a previous comment.
