    I have watched several videos on grooming the face. Yours is by far the best, the information and demonstration is so clear. I will certainly watch more.

    Great video and you’re awfully nice to respond to so many comments. I’ve had a male standard poodle for about a year now and I get compliments on my grooming progress. It’s been quite a learning process has every aspect is its own project. The face, the feet, etc. i’m enjoying your channel and sure do appreciate all the good tutelage I’ve gotten from you👍🏻🐩

    Great video and explanation is clear for each step. Most difficult parts for the home groomer are the face and topknot.

    Thanks for this great instructional video . My clipper blades get hot so I change them regularly during the clip and pop them on ice . Were you able to do the entire face without switching blades ?

    • @MelanieNewmanSalonEssentials
      @MelanieNewmanSalonEssentials  Рік тому +1

      Yes, I did not change blades. A five in one clipper, the blades don’t get as hot. But yes, when using detached blades they can heat up very quickly. You are doing the correct process by changing them as they heat up💓

      @@MelanieNewmanSalonEssentials thanks that’s good to know . I’m ready to update to a more professional clippers that don’t heat up as quick as mine do. What 5 in 1 clipper blades would you recommend for toy poodles ? (I searched for the link for product as mentioned but couldn’t locate it ) . Any advice is greatly appreciated! Many thanks, Janet . Love your products ! Love your videos !

    I wandering how far we clip the hair under those ears ?

    • @MelanieNewmanSalonEssentials

      Clip up to the entry of the ear canal, so it’s clean and hair free. I can do a little video for you if you need?

    Very helpful, thank you, I have an 9 month old toy poodle in full coat, do you suggest i clip her or try scissoring as we prefer the longer coat look? she is brushed daily and virtually knott free. Is it possible to keep her in long coat for life or will it have to be clipped at some stage?

      @MelanieNewmanSalonEssentials  Рік тому

      Hi Belinda, yes, it is possible to always have her in full coat. It sounds like you are doing a great job at looking after her coat, so you should be able to keep her coat at a length you prefer 💗💗💗 let me know how you go✂️✂️✂️

    Good information, but suppressed by the overpowering music. Also, the black dog doesn't help show what you're doing. It was hard to see things like the hair separation and how you held it back.

    I doubt my 6 month toy poodle will ever be that calm for me to do her face at home.
    Great video.

    The fur above my Poodle's eyes is really heavy. How do I trim that bit?

    Great video, I am doing the face grooming the same way, my boy is just turning 5 months and doing excellent with his feet, scissoring , and good around his eyes, the only place that is still a little challenging is the front of his lips and around his nose, he is so ticklish! But I reward him with treats and little breaks. He has come a long way from the first time I clipped him at 9 weeks!
    He is a mittel Poodle ( medium size, which is recognized all over Europe but still denied by AKC! Sad!) Sweet as pie!
    Love your videos!

      Thanks Valarie , sounds like you are doing an amazing job . Congrats. Yes the lip area can be difficult as like you say it is a ticklish area for a lot of dogs.

    Hi Mel Love your videos. When you shave around and under the eyes do you take off the eyelashes too?

    • @MelanieNewmanSalonEssentials
      @MelanieNewmanSalonEssentials  4 роки тому +1

      Hi Helen, with a banded top knot I don’t , on a scissored top knot you can take them off. It’s best to keep the clipper work below the eye.
