This is the one and only video that truly works!! I’ve had my press ons for a full week (applied them on the 8th and it is now the 15th) When I say I’ve tried everything and this along with the glue And nail hardener recommended is the only thing that worked! Some of the UA-cam girlies said use gel base coat as adhesive and let it sit under the UV lamp (that doesn’t work) Some of the UA-cam girlies also said to try acrylic as the glue that doesn’t work either unfortunately I’ve also tried original Superglue and the Nail bond (from amazon) those would pop in a few days and during the most embarrassing times and I would prep them the same way as in this vid (filing, cuticles) Only 2 of my nails lifted a little and when I say lifted I literally mean that; I still went the whole day working without it popping off where I’m used to the entire nail popping off as soon as it starts to lift when I used other glues in the past. And I think it mainly lifted because of the Kiss nails I bought there usually isn’t any nail size that fits my nail bed on my middle fingers and thumbs it’s usually either too big or entirely too small so it doesn’t fit perfectly on my nail bed but I really was in a rush to try this glue and method. The nails that fit my nail bed perfectly haven’t lifted or anything! So glad I found this vid 🙌🏾 Thank you!
Update: I took them off after two exact weeks (had to soak them off) but they would’ve lasted longer I was just ready to try my new set of press on nails already! Im on my second set of nails with this method and it’s going great and even better that I had more variety to size my nails correctly than the 1st time. I don’t even need to bring glue with me! Hope this helps someone bc I’ve been thru hell and back trying to find the best method for press ons
I tried this and had to search my watch history just to come back and leave this comment - this technique works! I've tried everything, but the max I could get was 5-7 days. I'm on day 10 with this method, the Sally Hansen hardener and the Sally Beauty Supply glue, and squeezing the nails down for 30 seconds. THANK YOU for sharing this with us!
i'm gonna try this exact method 🌚🌚 i'll be back to update lol Update 1: so today is day 4 and so far so good. No lifting around the cuticles or anything! I did bang the FU*K outta my nail and it hurt so bad but the nail stayed strong! My normal set of nails would’ve popped off from how hard I hit it lol. Unless a nail pops off or something, I won’t update again for the next week or so 👋🏽 Update 2: it’s been about a week so far and still going strong. My nails are a little see-thru so I can see the parts where glue is lifting or didn’t spread to. Next time I’ll be sure to put a tad more by the cuticle. Even tho I see the lifting parts, the nail still feels really strong.
Tip. After applying the hardener tap the nail with a piece of tissue before the hardener dry, then apply the glue.. The tissue works as acrylic and keep the lasting longer.
@@yumyumkitty2104 yes ma'am! You're adding the glue on the tissue or the nail won't adhere. Apply base coat 2x, 1st coat is to protect the nail, wait until it's dry to add the 2nd coat. Give the 2nd coat a few sec to become tacky then apply the tissue covering the full nail. Clean up the hanging pieces, add glue, then nails and hold for 30 seconds.
@@WallFlower08 Ok thanks. Someone also said a little piece of tissue works as an adhesive also. I used a little Kleenex under each nail, & 7 days later, they still look good. 🙂
All I know is that I went and bought the uv light with the gelish and that technique instantly failed. I tried this and tomorrow will make 14 days and not one nail has popped off! I'm ridiculously rough with my hands, constantly cleaning, changing diapers, snagging my nails and weight lifting... The nails haven't even attempted to lift. I didn't add any extra technique on top of this because it wasn't needed. I hate nail salons.. I get bored with sitting there. This is a total game changer!
I hope that you still look at comments for this video, I know it's 3+years old. But this was a game changer for me. I will not go to the salon ever again. I did all that you said with an EXTRA step.. I always do a gel topcoat on my manicure (You CAN put gel on any nail polish, don't believe those that say you can't) and I did the underside of the nail with this gel coat as well to encapsulate the press on. It's been three weeks. I think the better question now is will they COME OFF lol! That glue is the truth, for real. Thank you for this vid!
Gurrrl thank you!! I been doing it this way for years but the tips about the alcohol, the nail hardener and that glue you using took my nail game to the next level!! Sturdy as faaaaack! I also found it helpful to file the underside of the fake nail a lil bit to rough that surface up a tad too 😉👍
I've been looking for nails on Etsy. I haven't worn press on nails in years. But I am wanting to try some out. I'm glad you made this video. Your nails are really pretty.

That is the nail glue I use and it’s the best! I do the same as you, with the light buffing, pushing cuticles back, rubbing alcohol to dry them, but I’ve never tried a nail hardener. I’ll have to give that a go! I’ve used glue on nails for years and years as well. Great video!
Girl you are just a bomb beauty! I've been following you for years but I must say your personality in this video is really shining through!! Girl you are glowing beautifully!
Thank you Destiny! I followed this method exactly (same glue, hardener, etc.) And it has been over two weeks and they are not going anywhere! Placing them below the cuticle and holding 30 seconds made the nails fit better and look like salon nails. I’m totally thrilled! But now, how do I get them off? I soaked them in hot oiled water for a half an hour and the didn’t budge. Thanks for the video!! ❤️
@@DestinyLashaeMakeup Tried that for an hour and they didn’t loosen. I soaked them in nail polish remover and they dissolved right off, but obviously I couldn’t save the nails. Still happy with this method :)
Okay so I did an experiment with this glue and nail hardener! So I put some kiss nails on Sunday the 6th they were doing great! I had two pop off today so I got a 12 day wear out of them! Almost to 14 days (2 weeks) I truly do believe this is the best glue! I’ve had nails fall off the same day I put them on! I’ve never! Had press on’s last this long! I know this is an old video but I’m just seeing it. I Love press on nails because I paint and design my own. But mine pop off after like three days My question is I realized that when you washing dishes taking showers it loosen the glue. I would love for mine to last atleast a week
I’m going to update the girlies every day on my progress. This is Day 2, and so far so good! I’ve had a couple of issues which I will list: 1, one nail popped up but it was during application and I probably needed to hold it down longer idk but may have not been a glue issue. 2, I had to reapply one nail because I ended up not liking the way it felt on my finger and BAYBEE let me tell you, I didn’t have acetone… so I had to literally pull the nail off my real nail and that glue was so strong, like it was professionally put on! But I managed to get it off, along with it taking the top part of my nail; but it was ultimately fine (because I don’t care about having long nails underneath anyway), I just scraped and buffed that part off, and after cutting and shaping the nail I reapplied it. So ladies, always make sure the nail is already perfect to your liking, and it’s possible to cut and reshape them on the sides. 3, the pain… maybe I’m not use to wearing press-ons but they are painful to me and feel sensitive but it’s nothing that I can’t bear. Ultimately the nails are lasting, I am a cook and they have endured a full day of me washing dishes so I’m glad about that. I will tune in again within a week and update y’all again, but until then toodles! 😉😘
Great video! Just did my nails with this method and glue. I have really wide nail beds and only just found a “wider fit” set. I’m really excited to be able to do my own nails. Thanks!
Im never rough with my nails but I went to the salon today and my nail broke tonight! $52 just to go back and get a repair.. I’m looking for better options!!😡
Ok, I used the SH HAN. I accidentally smashed two of my fingers in the back door. I just knew my nails were gone. They are still in tact like new but my finger is bruised. Ouch! That glue and SH are it!!!
it’s better to *not* reuse nails for hygiene purposes. the material they’re made out of is basically impossible to fully disinfect because it’s so porous.

Update?
Thank you so much for this video

Thank you so much
What do you use to clean up the glue that squeezes out on the sides of your fingers? Anything I use just sticks to it & gets messy.
Can you use a top coat seal bonder instead of the nail hardener?
Great video! Just did my nails with this method and glue. I have really wide nail beds and only just found a “wider fit” set. I’m really excited to be able to do my own nails. Thanks!
Where did you find a "wider fit"set?
Are you able to put cuticle oil on after you do the press one?
chile lemme go get some press ons at the gas station rq I'm finna do this
How do you remove the glue when you do another set
Soak them in pure acetone.
This method did not work for my nails I did it step by step and the nails pop off the three days later
When the glue looses strength do your nails just come off??
Im never rough with my nails but I went to the salon today and my nail broke tonight! $52 just to go back and get a repair.. I’m looking for better options!!😡
How do you take them off?
Ok, I used the SH HAN. I accidentally smashed two of my fingers in the back door. I just knew my nails were gone. They are still in tact like new but my finger is bruised. Ouch! That glue and SH are it!!!
Thank you very much great tutorial
My question was sorry how can I get them to last
Thank you 🥰
I'm going try these press on nails
Thanks for the post!
You bet!
Could I use any nail harder?
where can I get the naill pseee olso nail shape plssssss
As it is glue.. will you have to dismiss them after? Or you can reuse it again later?
it’s better to *not* reuse nails for hygiene purposes. the material they’re made out of is basically impossible to fully disinfect because it’s so porous.
I love the kiss brand
