Jesus Andrew. As a video editor myself I have mad respect for what you have done just to make it easier for people to see. Really tough but really appreciated. Top work.
Carbon fiber barrel, quick adjest gas system, ambi bolt release, and a BCG with bonus features, yeah, that's a sweet rifle. Looks worth the investment.
At 500 yards, the 6.5 creed moor is still carrying over 1000ft-lb of energy. Depending on the specific load, 308 will only have 30-120 more ft-lbs of energy. By 600 yards, most 6.5 is surpassing most 308s in energy. 6.5 Creedmoor is very effective and is very useful for plenty of things at distance other than “shooting steel.” 1000ft-lbs is still more powerful than a 10mm at the muzzle, while still retaining all the benefits that pointed rifle bullets have.
For smaller game like deer yes, it’s plenty powerful, but for large game like an Elk, I’d always go for 300win. I’d choose 308win because it’s amazing at 500yards>and ammo is much more abundant. For long range shooting (500
Used to work at Academy, I was surprised to see how little we got of the odd calibers. Mainly only got shotgun, 9mm, and 5.56/.223 for quite a while in bulk, enough to last on the shelf. Good luck on finding polymer tipped or hunting ammo maybe a year ago. 308 is common, but even Remington was asking $40 for a box, crazy. $60+ for 300WM that was $30.
Love that you put red markers in editing shooting steel. Always wanted a 300WM Falkor Petra or 50BMG but I think this is more practical at least with magazines, weight and ammo cost to some degree.
Nice!! Even though it’s more than what I normally would buy, I still really appreciate that you do videos on platforms like this. It’s definitely a rifle that’s worth the price. That bullet swirl was awesome btw! Top notch work as always my friend 👍🇺🇸
My first born son or daughter I'm naming her or Andrew boetjer after watching this I have started buying her toy guns as I keep gun for real guns from gy6
Nemo makes good stuff and I've owned a few. Right now if we are talking 308 size cartridges, I'll take my ruger SFAR. For the price and functionality, the Rugar wins and its in a much lower teir but has many of the same "extra" functions. Just no carbon fiber barrel but the ruger does have a full profile barrel. No stick of stainless wrapped in fiber.
Proof research isn't far from me. Wouldn't mind working for them. Doing research on them as an employer, they seem to be a good company. But, I like doing my leathercraft and making my own schedule. I do what I enjoy and pay my bills while doing it.
I have the OMEN and the XO. They're fantastic firearms. I load my own ammo, so maybe my opinion is a little skewed, but both are tac drivers. Consistently shooting sub MOA groups.
It just came in the trigger is the absolute best ive ever shot. And shooting this gun in 308 is just insane. That bolt carrier group with the recoil is almost non existant. What an amazing gun. My question is why doesn't this gun have more of a presence
Andrew are you swapping out a long range scope and a LPVO depending on what you're doing or does that front end come on or off for long range or close up? I ask because i notice on some stuff you got a LPVO and i see the bigger long range scope for the longer stuff.
I really enjoy watching your videos, a few things that I have not seen on any of the pro 2A channels is guns not to buy and why not to buy them, and why is the .40 S&W seem like the black sheep of the family? I say this because I bought for my first handgun was a Ruger SR40C and after a few upgrades to the trigger and springs and polishing the feed tube it finally started running right, And then I bought the eternal arms BP-12 bullpup shotgun…another mistake….any advice on how to avoid bad purchases and what to look for before making that purchase?
Bought this this exact rifle last year. Put a Schmitt and bender 5x25 pm2. Tremor 3 scope on it. I can tell you accurate reliable. Amazing. Took it too 900 years. Amazingly accurate. Worth every penny.
Clay over at Guns America shot the XO like 3 and a half inch group at 950. With hornady match and steel barrel i think. He told me in the comments that Gold Medal Match was more accurate. Imagine handloads. Who needs a bolt action? That rifle was $5k plus tax for the first three or so years it was out
@@GY6vids Yeah, it's not horrible and maybe for the larger calibers it makes sense since it's harder to build a lightweight 6.5cm or 308 with a sick carbon-wrapped barrel, but I can still get a POF rogue for $2K less that's ultra-lightweight.
I’ll take my LMT over that and any other rifle any day under any circumstance!!! Its the only rifle that can survive everything you can put it through. Ill whore this company out until my last breath #failureisnotanoption
@@GY6vids I’m dying to know how it failed and what was the cause. I have 6 of them and I’ve never had a single issue. My first one and still my go to rifle has about 40k( +/- 5k) and have had no issues. Though I admit I swapped/upgraded a few parts before anything was tested to failure. The only one I haven’t tested that much is the 6.8spc /cqb-16 . Mainly due to the availability of ammo in Commie California

Glad you enjoyed it!
Man I need more of these slow mo shots, theyre so good
More to come! Thanks for watching and supporting
Man that rifles a Beaut! Nemo has some cool products… really want the 300 Win Mag!
The OMEN watchman 300win. I did a full review on a LONG time ago, and it was fantastic
Until you need to feed a semi auto platform with 300winmag. Lol. That stuff is expensive.
I got the 300 win mag omen recon model on the way. I can't wait. This is another one that might be on my radar next in 308.
The hit marker on target is a great touch!
Took a lot of POST production work to add them, glad its appreciated 😎🤙🏼

I tell people, if you have the money, DO IT!
@@GY6vids Agreed. It's totally worth it from what I can see in the video. Looks way better than my STAG and I love it.
Rad video content brother, too much fun, glad to see you are having fun creating content!
Thank you, Glad it brought you some entertainment. Much more coming

Great video Andrew! Love my Omen, can't wait to get an XO .308 and of course that new .22lr. Just need somewhere to shoot far here in central Texas!

Hey I was right!!! AR platform, the brass deflector gave it away. I said .308, so I wasn't far off!!
No you were not! well done.

Definitely too rich for my blood but that is a nice rifle!
Hey Andrew I just bought the XO yesterday. I bought the 16" steel version. Can't wait to get it shoot it suppressed with my huxwrx 762

I have the Nemo 6mm ARC, haven’t shot it yet. What do you think about the 6ARC compared to the .308?
Nice Gun
I built a ar15 in 6arc. It also uses a Proof Research carbon barrel. I use a silent buffer system. I use a Diamond trigger from Trigger Tech.
Sounds gorgeous
Congratulations...Nobody asked you what you built dumbass...
I wish they would make a rifle like this in 6.5 PRC or even 7 or 300 PRC.
Would love to see a head to head comparison of Nemo Arms XO Carbon 6.5 CM against LWRCI REPR MKII 6.5 CM.
hey, could you please link that gel filled target and stand??
The full review video of that target is linked and the link to the product is in that video
This is by far the moat detailed review of this rifle. What is the overall balance like?
With the CF barrel…it’s great! I’m guessing the heavier barrel of other models would throw it off a bit.
Almost the same as FN Scar 20s, which one would you get Nemo or Scar?

Would love to see a consistent 3 1/2 in group at 950yards. 1/4MOA at 950yards.
@@GY6vids You should put a March Optics 8-80 power scope and a Timney Calvin Elite on it. See what she can really do. That would be a great video too.
I own one that's tricked out. Diamond art trigger and all.😂
What's the name of the company of muzzle brake u attached
Lantac...this is the GemTech QD version of their "Dragon" muzzle break
I have their 300 wing the recon best rifle ever made other than drd tactical I have their 338 lapua mag had it at 1000 yards but hitting car doors
I don't doubt the craftsmanship but I wonder is it worth more than a HK? That seems to be the .308 Battle Rifle standard.
Ejection perfection.
Only Have Two is XO 308 😎
👍!
When are you going to make a Gen 12 shotgun video? I heard it’s the shotgun in John wick 4!🔫🔫
😎
No it is for everyone. 6,000 is a lot of money but just think of what you are getting.
$4,300 does not seem worth it to me.
It’s a very tough price tag, but at least Nemo is putting extra work for it
