I grew up watching your show and I absolutely love that you’re on youtube!!! I’ve been looking to watch something like this for a long while and I’m glad I found yall!!
When I was a kid my Uncle had a black Rivera just like that one. That car was one of the most creature comfort Land Monsters at the time. The lines are still impressive even today. One of the many Wonderful 60's and 70's Automotive Sedan designs often overlooked. The interiors were Luxury themed and Substantially appointed. Not a cheaply built car by any means. Awesome episode Thanks Rich.
Two cars i love this one and a 1958 chev . Dream ride with awesome power! 1960s chev trucks ruled + El Camino ! Love my hond 50 125 250 .60s Triumph Motorcycles .Bosts ? Haha
You know I live in southeastern ky this is my wife's tablet we are having a rough time right now but watching your show is a treat. That collection that you sold for Denny was something else. I am sixty five years old and I could not believe all the Beautiful cars and bikes and collectables by the way I love the tempest but a broke person can only look. Keep up the great work.
I grew up in Oakland, there was huge Wards catalog warehouse in East Oakland. It even had a rail spur going in. You could go there and order from the catalog and wait for it it be brought out or shop the 'Bargain Center' catalog return store with over stocks and other stuff. My dad always had his Checker Marathon serviced at the automotive center across the street. The Wards building was the biggest in that part of Oakland. Eventually it closed. It was for sale for a while but was torn down eventually. I almost got my first .22 rifle there but my dad forgot his ID when we went to pick it up.
I know this is a little bit late but Richard you are awesome for helping that man out a year ago with his rent I didn't know what kind of person you are I thought you were kind of papas but I realized over the last six months of watching most every one of your videos you're a great guy and God bless America and and God bless you you're awesome man
Phipps is the main reason I watch...lol he is just such a cool cat..he don't even have to try hard either, it just comes naturally!!! Keep it up GAS MONKEY 🐒 🙈 🙊!!
I have a 63 Lemans coupe. That motor is half of a 389. It’s more desirable if it has a four barrel carburetor. Pretty cool car. They made quite a few convertibles.
I can relate to the sagging headliner. We didn’t have much money growing up in the 80s. All our cars had sagging cloth from the roof. My dad jammed drywall knives on the sides to keep the headliner up.
Neat when you're looking at the riv there's the bus! What's left to do on it I know you haven't had it seen for a long time it was getting some custom interior and I know that takes some time 2scratch build the way they want it. Maybe we getting updates sometime the status of it. Sure canes still wants it but I remember the last time you were getting measurements made for the custom interior.
Had the Montgomery Ward trail bike, rode it all over Fresno California from1975 to 1981 before licenses for mopeds. That thing hardly cost anything when my dad got it, i traded up to a Honda trail 90 which ran until i got tired of going 35mph
I'll be 36 come February, 💯 remember Montgomery wards. Remember them going out of business back in the day. My mom's deep freezer is from there. It's probably as old as me or older. Things back then were made better than now.
I’ve got a fully built green 82 gpz1000 bored to a 1350 that’ll rip your hands off the grips and solid rear suspension so when you launch it literally launches the bike forward it’s a monster. It’s cool seeing one all original though
Ward was a catalog. I have a wards westernfield semi auto 22. The sold everything in the catalog. St paul mn had a wards with 3rd floor cafeteria and 4th floor was clearance.
My dad had a 64 Tempest that had the transmission in the rear with a 431 or 421 engine in it and I didn't think it was all that until dad sold it and dude burnt about 8 or 10 car lengths of rubber and that flipped me out and it was both wheels instead of just one lol...That's a rare find you got right there...
Life goals: do a road trip across America, starting at GMG to purchase something old, cool, comfortable and reliable for said trip... ending ideally in NY (if id make it) to flip the car for a profit and get the plane back home. Ps, im open to sponsorship, Richard 😜
Awesome video is always Richard. I hope you are paying these millennials well they do an amazing job with the filming and editing. These UA-cam shows are way better than anything you did on discovery.
Don't forget on those Tempest cars that the factory did put a 321 v8 in em and the Drag version had a 389....I think gmg should recreation the factory drag Tempest which if it were real goes for over 300,000 . .
With a trailer full of motorcycles - What should we do with 'em? Who wants one? 👀
I want the KZ. How do I get it?
GPZ.....excuse me. I want
Porsche 944 S2 have to tranmision back and motor on front. Super on corners car reaction 🏎️🏁🌈🔞❤️
What would you take for all of it? I'm interested.
Ne vorrei avere una👍🇮🇹
Thanks for moving to youtube. It makes your content far more accessible and enjoyable.
Big Time!!
I grew up watching your show and I absolutely love that you’re on youtube!!! I’ve been looking to watch something like this for a long while and I’m glad I found yall!!
100% agree
Just wish it was abit more "uncut" and abit longer hehe
I agree. Wish they would do some more builds though, instead of just flipping, but it's still better than the TV show.
Phipps is a great problem soler and Richard keeps him busy and moving forward what a great team. They're lucky to have each other.
well Richard is a total Dickhead, and he will lose Phipps.
Rawlings is lucky to have him
Glad to hear the builds are gonna be shown soon. I love the buying cars vids but the builds are so fun to watch
Fips is quite fun to watch; dude seems like he'd be fun to drink with and listen to stories.
Richard does the talking and leaves to get a beer! Phipps does the talking and is left to do all the work! That works for me 👍🏻😎🤔😂

I live early 70s boat tail Rivis
I don't think there is anyone happier than Phipps when random stuff rolls into the garage.
Phipps and Richard ride alongside are comedic gold
The Tempest 4cyl is half of a 389 v8. Pretty rare car.
I love the Buick Riviera Boattail.
Two cars i love this one and a 1958 chev . Dream ride with awesome power! 1960s chev trucks ruled + El Camino ! Love my hond 50 125 250 .60s Triumph Motorcycles .Bosts ? Haha
best laugh ive had in a while, watching you 2 ride along in a cloud of headliner dust ~ now that was Epic and Real.
You know I live in southeastern ky this is my wife's tablet we are having a rough time right now but watching your show is a treat. That collection that you sold for Denny was something else. Really glad to see the move to you tube. Favorite channel to watch man!
So much better than the Discovery show. I can't wait to see some more builds. Let's see that School Bus.
Monkey See Monkey Do! 🐵🐒 Wish it was that simple to do what Richard does

We love, Phipps. Makes the show that much better.
The Tempest has a big following I'm seeing 10k on the low side , Nicely Done Sir 👍

Thanks for all the in video ads. Some of these episodes are just one long advertisement. Love it
Phipps and Richard are the cutest couple on YT.
I can relate to the sagging headliner. We didn’t have much money growing up in the 80s. All our cars had sagging cloth from the roof. My dad jammed drywall knives on the sides to keep the headliner up.
Always a treat when a new video comes out
That’s a pretty sweet GBZ there. I like the color.

These are prime videos. Can't wait for the builds. Btw, sent ya an email on a '70 numbers matching up here in Ohio. Im always looking out GMG!
Richard, you’re an interesting guy. I enjoy your videos.
Definitely love GMG being on UA-cam
I bet you take really good care of fibs. You got a handful of really good pep in there
Phipps maybe be a crazy old fool but you can't help but like him lol.
Rivera is a smooth riding car, plenty of metal protection if you get in an auto accident. It would make a great restoration project for a cruiser.
Got to love these good vibe gas monkey shows no bs just down to earth 🇬🇧🐒
Neat when you're looking at the riv there's the bus!

In the north east we called it Montgomery Ward.. Sometimes Montgomery Wourrds.
I'm interested in knowing more about that Riviera... he mentioned a Kansas keychain... this looks to be a car that I'm more than familiar with...

Love your show Gas Monkey Garage Richard 😍💪👍
I'd love to own a Triumph as my next bike. They chopped them up so cool in the 60's!

Don't forget on those Tempest cars that the factory did put a 321 v8 in em and the Drag version had a 389....I think gmg should recreation the factory drag Tempest which if it were real goes for over 300,000 . .
I use to sell Christmas trees in Texas at one of those Montgomery ward store parking lots.
Auburn, is only about 30 miles from my house, It is cool to meet you sometime if you every get back this way
