Wow! I have finally seen another one of the special code Galaxie 500 XL's, just like my Mom had! Hers had a Thunderbird 400HP 390cid V8 and I wish I had that car now!

Used to be a huge swap meet in Daytona raceway during the Turkey Run in Novermber. But it over time kept shrinking till it kinda was just a small area.

R code Galaxie 500 XL would technically be a 1963 1/2- fast back roof- I had a 1963-formal roof- Galaxy 500 XL 406, Tri-power, 4 speed. Butternut with Ox blood interior. Also where are the front fender "Thunderbird" emblems??
I've got almost 30 years experience as a master technician at Jaguar Land Rover UK and dam I would love to put my skills to work at Gas Monkey Garage, except for Phipps I'd definitely teach those young fools a thing or 2!!! 👍🙂👍🇬🇧🇺🇸🇬🇧🇺🇸
