Slowing the track down to sing notes higher than you can do is amazing. I thought what will I learn from this video???? Ha......about 10 great things. ..... As always!

That action to move 0 start time is extremely helpful. Never knew about that one. Thanks Kenny!

Kenny, you literally almost made me cry man! I use a TON of markers when I am transcribing sections on Reaper for my jazz studies, I knew there must be a button to move to the next marker and to think this whole time I've been clicking one marker to the next, now I just need to learn how to quick select a section between markers to loop things. This new shortcut for moving to the next and previous marker " [ " and " ] " just made my life sooo much easier!!! Thank you!!!! I would appreciate it if you covered a keyboard shortcut on how to quick highlight /select a region between 2 markers. I know I can double click but if I can do it as a shortcut... oh yeah

You can also create simple shortcuts for the actions Go to next/previous marker.
If you created regions from your markers, there are also actions to go to next/previous region.

This set me back by so many days when the new update came out. I ended up creating shortcuts by editing the toolbars for them from watching one of your recent videos before figuring it out though, so I was able to just get by

Do you have a video demonstrating detailed crossfade techniques while editing acoustic music, like classical piano, etc.?

i really wish you could click and scroll the BPM during playback, like ableton does.

Not sure it's possible, but you can use tempo envelope in the master track to play with tempo.
Or make the rate not affecting pitch and play live with the rate button (which will work like tempo change).
You could even affect rate change to your mousewheel in the mouse modifiers.

Please, is there a way to put the play/stop/rec buttons in the middle of the screen (in the middle of its bar)???

    Hi Kenny,
    Hi from France!
Thanks for tour hard work on every video. Each time I learn something from you.
Do you know if there is an option to lock the record button to prevent any accident, for example hitting by mistake the spacebar of the Return button and stop accidentally the recording ? It would be very useful when I do long recordings like a live concert. It never occured to me but I am always afraid of it.
I love Reaper as a recording software, it is very reliable but it is the only feature I always felt was missing.

So you want to lock the recording button to stay ON?

Yes, it would be great to have an option for that. No matter what I would do : click on the record button, the pause button or the stop button, tap the spacebar or the return key it would let the recording going on until I unlock it with a special button, or a dedicated shortcut.

You almost handled my issue but no, previously in a recording hitting the play button(or space bar) would stop both recording and playback, which is cool I love it that way, but currently hurting the same button during recording does nothing, it just annoys😢, during recording i have to click the record button on the transport again, but even so, it would only stop recording but to playback
What's the solution to this @Kenny?

    • @REAPERMania

Sorry. I'm not clear on what you're asking.

@@REAPERMania when recording audio, pressing the play/stop button no longer stop recording and playback, actually it does nothing, I would prefer pressing the playback button/space bar to stop both recording and playbaack

At 6:09 you delete a section by selecting it. What keys do I use to select a section or part of one or more tracks. I've been trying to figure this our for months. Please Help.
