    Is Tesla good for our climate & environment? And how will we solve the battery problem? 👇

      I think Elon saw the potential for a side hustle in Tesla. He used this to make a lot of money that would lead to his end goal of having enough money to buy Twitter and become the world's greatest troll.

    Tesla's impact report stated they saved 5.0 million metric tons of CO2 that year, not the 3.5 you said

      It's really not much. Especially when compared to the world's continuous leading C02 polluter. . . The Ocean. The ocean burps out 5 million metric tons a day. Hopefully the woke mobs start protesting the ocean and demanding it goes electric ⚡⚡

    A combustion engine needs parts that suports high temperatures, such as pistons, spark plugs, oil and water pumps, electric fan, radiators, in take air filters and gasoline and oil filters, admition múltiples, ignition computer, turbo pump, carter, gear box and so on, those are fundition pieces that you forgot to mention.

      Yeah it's hilarious how they don't talk about that and the recycling challenge. Or how they don't talk about the maintenance required to run a windmill or that a diesel engine is required when there's no wind because those blades are so big they can't sit still they're too big and gravity will deform them. Or that it costs $20,000 just to get a crane to lift a new turbine in. I swear this is a virtue signaling pissing contest

    The great achievement of Tesla is that it made EVs S3XY. Without it, no mass buyers, no mass production, no satisfactory charger network, no industry shift.

    What about the power source to charge electric car? Power have to be produce from something like gas, coil….

    • @hankosaurus
      @hankosaurus 7 місяців тому

      Exactly. Some high percentage of carbon emitting fuel is needed to create electricity. And that electricity sees some losses in transmission and in battery charging of the EV. My question is "How much carbon emitting fuel is burned to create the electricity to propel a Tesla for 400 miles?" And, likewise, "How much carbon emitting fuel is burned to propel a gasoline car for 400 miles?" Teslas don't really run on electricity altogether, or even mostly. And that fact seems to be omitted.

    If Tesla is suppose to fight Climate change, I'd measure the carbon foot print and the emissions of the Tesla owner's Household, not just the Car that has to drive 125k to beat out its competitor.

    "Tesla is still in the first generation of electrics (Li based batteries); it's unfortunate the Muskovites didn't pursue hydroelectrics and lead the steering or the infrastructure to produce hydrogen cleanly, and to bring the cost of hydropower down. Lithium mining vs harvesting hydrogen is like VHS video vs digital DVDs. It will take the third generation of electric vehicles (analogous to video streaming), whatever that technology may be, to significantly heal the damage done to the environment. The problem is, by that time, it will likely be too late."

    If you want to make a difference, just consume very wisely and very minimally!
    Just changing from petroleum to electric as energy won't make a difference if we keep going like this.

    Chery picking the data and not reporting the impacts of oil to our environment. We all know about how devastating oil spills are to our world and yet' hardly merits any mention on our news. I can't visit a beach from the Great North West to the beaches of Florida and not see the black oil laid into the sand.

    EV's are just as bad, if not worse, for the environment. The infrastructure to maintain the required electricity usage alone will have a negative effect to the environment. Take the time to investigate.

    • @YannCogan
      @YannCogan 2 роки тому +1

      EVs pollute, but much less than ICE cars provided the electricity isn't produced burning coal or petrol. The solution is to increase renewable and nuclear energy (like in France), until we master nuclear fusion (and of course to reduce our use of individual cars).

    • @axeblue
      @axeblue 2 роки тому +1

      @@YannCogan That is very true, except the U.S. is not going into the direction of renewable as fast as ppl think we are. From what I've heard, the US isn't gonna invest into Nuclear until 2035ish and we're actually embracing our coal resources in tje United States.

    • @YannCogan
