Passed on my praises to CNC and said how good they have been at Sellafield and Heysham! Here is their reply *****"Hi Matt. Thank you very much for taking the time to feedback, this is really positive to hear and we are pleased you received such a professional experience. We also appreciate your understanding of the necessity for the officers to approach you. We will pass your comments to the local teams at Sellafield and Heysham to ensure that they receive appropriate recognition, and will also let our training team know. Thank you again for your message, Matt. We appreciate you taking the time to get in touch. Have a great day. "****
Not sure if you are aware, but your audits have led to/been mentioned in 2 recent bulletins issued to CNC officers on the subject of Audits... I always knew your motivation was genuine, and im so happy to see the real change thats occurred. Feel free to get in touch and I will direct you to where I saw the bulletins..... Sadly, they still suggest that the powers that be believe the motive of Public photographers is to antagonise, but I guess its a step too far to expect any kind of police officer to be able to understand simple facts - highlighting unscrupulous and dishonest behaviour is the motive, and the films wouldnt exist were it not for inappropriate actions of officers. If all interactions went as they should within the boundaries of the law there would be no entertainment factor!!
Police armed with weapons seem educated and decent! Police armed with a notebook and pencil seem to be trying to imitate stalin! Good to see there are still educated officers around!
I think it's more the fact that the more intelligent and reasonable ones are the ones allowed to have guns, the dross aren't allowed. It's a bit worrying they get tasers though.
These officers are CNC officers they’re a special division to guard nuclear power plants. All CNC officers always carry weapons. I find them really cool.
Best auditor I've seen on UA-cam Matt. I think you have a great approach to it. Your always respectful until such times as they're not, but you also give credit when credit is due without pushing things. I also like the way you appreciate they have to check unlike some auditors who think it's unreasonable to ask. I've just seen the Christmas one when you presented Barrow police with chocs for being the best station, touch of class right there. Keep up the good work mate, this is exactly how it should be done! Oh and your little mate Oscar is great too!!!
You know what, i am going to email the Nuclear constabulary and tell them how good they were at Sellafield and Heysham, will give them your story and regards, credit where credit is due
@@mat12128 they did check the van was mine but weren't nasty one bit. And let's face it we're safer for the being there. Its about 4 years ago. My van was apparently registered as grey but was white so it looked a bit odd I guess.
Just try a few different foams for the wind noise, most of us have sponges of all sorts about the house and stick it over the microphone hole with a bit of prit-stik glue that’ll easily peel off. Or get a bigger piece that’ll cover the whole bottom of the phone held on with an elastic band.
May I respectfully suggest that on each outing, point your camera first at some neutral-lighted object and then set your camera exposure from "auto" to "manual"? This will avoid your images from going dark when too much sky is in the frame. Love your work otherwise.
I don't think his finger was on the trigger, but you are 100% right in the way he presented himself, he was overly aggressive, the other chap took no such stance!
I see what you mean re-watching it, but i can honestly say i never felt more comfortable and despite that his calm voice and relaxed body language made feel safe enough
colonialclive his finger is in the “ second stage “ which is prior to pulling the trigger . It’s a defensive position when an immediate threat is present. No need to even have his hand anywhere near the but or trigger
he had to get out with his gun didn't he trying to intimidate one man with a extremely dangerous king charles like you was going to take over the place with a little pooch and a camera haha he was pretty fair to be honest
You're a braver man than I, Matt. I wouldn't be standing there, with a man in front of me with a semi auto machine gun, with his finger ready to blast you if you sneezed the wrong way(pun intended). What has this Country come to? I understand the need for security, but you have to work with the public, not scare them to death. Google Maps for me, and no ARMED man in my face. Nice one dude.
4:09 So if you see anything untoward you'll let them know? How about the huge piece of equipment you saw earlier. That bloke who said it was part of some condensing kit could've been lying and it was a massive plot to bring in some bombs like a Trojan Horse. See how it works when you get people who know nothing about security to report security matters. It's better to leave it to the experts. And the nuclear police weren't experts. They should monitor and only expose themselves to potential threats until that threat has made obvious actions to breach security. Just because someone is wandering around doesn't mean that they should be approached. And questioning doesn't reveal anything as a clever terrorist would just say they are carrying out their hobby whilst walking. And a short time spent taking a short video doesn't expose any more intel than you can get from Google Streetview or Google Earth or Google Images. So that warning about putting stuff online at 5:11 means jack shit when there is already so much stuff about Heysham on t'internet.
I think your attitude makes them act like that some other so called auditors try to antagonize them even when they are being civil gives everyone a bad name . Well done 👌
Maybe tape a piece of cotton gauze over your microphone to see if that helps with the wind. Geeze people sure are paranoid out there - keeps his finger on the trigger the whole time he is talking to you . But I understand why with that mean dog you have there.
Why do you always go up and randomly film coppers and police stations though? 😂😂..you’re such a weasel ha !.. but videos are interesting to watch I have to say.
Well done those respectful PC’s.Good Audit, showed other police up!👍 respect to all !!
