We just received our new 2023 CX-50 Preferred plus last week. Soul crystal red. Only 200 miles on the odometer so far but absolutely love it. Within the next couple weeks it will be driven a lot of highway miles.
Absolutely brilliant. Thank you so much for sharing. What a vehicle! You will love it for many years to come. Thanks for watching and for taking the time to comment.
That’s awesome. Thanks for watching our review. You picked a great vehicle. How long was the wait time to get yours? Or did you have to wait at all? Thanks again.
James, Thanks for saying hello and for the compliment. We have not done one, but we can put it on the list. Our next Mazda is the CX-5. We will add yours to the list. Thanks again James. Have a great weekend.
The US will be getting the CX-70. That is good news because it shares a lot of similarities with the CX-60. When it’s available we will definitely review it. Thanks for watching!
There are two more features that are first for Mazda, on CX-50: hood struts and ability to mirror the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto point to point directions on the heads up display (Active Driving Display).
Mazda suggests Premium gas on the CX-30 turbo. I'm guessing that the CX-50 is the same. Is the increase in cost for Premium worth it for the increase in price and the better mileage?
Thanks for the comment. They recommend it for the GT Turbo if you want to get the most out of your drive. You can still put in 87 Octane petrol, but it won’t give you what you paid for when you buy the GT Turbo. It’s definitely up to the driver, but with fuel prices today, premium fuel is a bit dear. Thanks for watching!
@@HoodSlappersOfficial long term regular grade gas will shorten the life of the turbo and add carbon to the engine. I would recommend premium for anyone wanting to keep this car long term
Always look forward to your videos. Thanks for putting in the time, very funny and enjoyable. The Mazda is stylish, but not overstated. Brad’s jacket is perfect for him. Do you two think that all SUVs are beginning look similar? One thing I was happy to see was the passenger room in the back seat. Looking forward to the next video!!
Jim, if you promise to keep watching them, we promise to keep making them. There was a fair bit of room in the CX-50 all throughout it. We were impressed with the entire vehicle. With SUVs all looking the same, we don’t they look the same between brands so much, but within brands they look very similar. The Mazda SUV lineup is a perfect example of that but for good reason. They all look good. Thanks again for watching and for your loyalty. We have said it so many times but we mean it and we really appreciate it.
Thanks for watching Sara. It’s certainly not in the most normal of spots. Still does a great job and helps get some air to the rear. The rear passenger that is. Just so we are clear. Ha
@@HoodSlappersOfficial so what you are saying, there were no grandma bags harmed during making of this video? 🤣 and let guy finally drive for god’s sake 😎
Another great video guys! love the humour and love that Brad managed to get another seat warming win! The CX-50 is a nice vehicle but any company that requires me to pay a subscription to use a feature already in my car, like a remote starter gets a hard pass for me. It's a make or break litmus test and they failed.
Thanks for your thoughts. It’s nice to hear opinions of our viewers. It helps us know what we need to touch on in our videos. So, we need to start keeping track of the Heated Seat Wins and Losses.
Guess I will have to check with Madza themselves for the real truth, haft the reviews I have seen say the cx 50 Is All New from the ground Up some like yours say its based the Cx30 frame????
Thanks for watching. Our information comes straight from Mazda but you are always welcome to take another look. We appreciate the comment and wish you all the best in the new year.

Great review! Thanks. Now we’re heading out to get our CX-50 GT Turbo.

I'm not sure why you don't have 500,000 subscribers. You clearly have a great product. Keep them coming!
You’re too kind mate. Maybe one day. Keep your fingers crossed and keep watching. :)
Hi
Great video by the way !
Could you please do a review on a CX-50 GT non turbo…
Or have you done one…
I have not found it …
Thank you
James

My daughter has a CX5. She likes the toggle screen controler.
It’s a great system. Even Brad could use it!
Would love to see a Hyundai Santa Fe PHEV review if that is possible.
We will see if we can make that happen for you. Maybe Brad can drive it. :)
The CX60 looks way better! They need to bring it to the US!

@@HoodSlappersOfficial CX-90 is also coming.
Can’t wait. We will definitely be taking that out for a spin.
Brad's jacket is perfectly fine….but the tee-shirt…oy…..😅😂🤣
Haha. Well if it’s not one thing with him it’s another. We just don’t know what to do with his wardrobe anymore. Ha

It was a great vehicle to review. Looking forward to more Mazda reviews.
Will you be doing the review on the Meridian Edition any time soon?
We will film anything we can get our hands on.

The air vents too close to steering wheel. And, only one vent in center.

Brad looks sharp in the jacket, almost as sharp as my grandma’s purse 😂
Nice jacket, who shot the couch? Ha. Brad seems to be attracted to weird things. He does drive a 2010 Corolla after all.
@@HoodSlappersOfficial so what you are saying, there were no grandma bags harmed during making of this video? 🤣 and let guy finally drive for god’s sake 😎
We can confidently say grandma bags and the caramel candies inside them were not harmed. :)

I really like the infotainment
