Let's be 100% honest. Bethesda has spent the last year polishing cut content. This wasn't a real expansion. Cut content isn't going to attract anyone who didn't love Starfield at launch. Fallout 76 and No Man's Sky received massive free updates to the base game. That's what turned things around for those games.

I disagree, I think people only like Bethesda games because we were children, and a lot of people is personality defined by Bethesda, not liking a Bethesda game for them is an identity crisis level event, It's pathetic.
Objectively, BGS makes horrible games with great music and good looking worlds.

I say 2 guns because they all work the same regardless of how they look, there are no ballistics in this game, a rifle and a pistol work the same, so I doubt these "New" enemies are any differrnt from what we have already, they're just re-skins.

Waiting for TES6 to release with cut content factions. It would be like everyone in Skyrim or Oblivion referencing the Dark Brotherhood or Thieves but waiting a year for the DLC to play as them. Riften or the Waterfront releasing as DLC. Or the brotherhood of steel being closed off.

67d 21h 55m sailing the blackest sea (Xbox). I started following SF when I think there was only 3 sources on the internet acknowledging its existence. Checked on it every few months or so. Despite addressing flight very little, we ALL held hope that we could fly our spaceship. And when we found out there was no atmospheric flight, it broke all our hearts just a little bit. Whether we want to admit it or not.
Starfield taps into the magic of spaceflight, but removes flight. Experiencing that “marble” turn into a world beneath your feet, that’s flight. Fighting the greatest force in the universe and experiencing that world turn back into a “marble”, that’s flight. Burning across the surface, taking in all the flora/fauna, slipping through the terrain, checking your outposts or objective with a bird’s eye view, maybe a little airpower to soften the target, pulling a sweet thruster drift move, and touching down nice and soft. That’s flight.
Mechs, POIs, story, melee movesets, kill cams, lack of quality control with mods, unstable mod system, large cosmic events visible in space that draw you to those far away planets/systems triggering investigations to the cause, radio stations, large scale enemies and engagements, bad AI, etc. These are all moons orbiting the problem at the core. SF taps into the magic of spaceflight, but removes the wonder of flight.
I still like the game obviously, but that one thing is always there. Catch a smile out there. o7

      Yep. Couldn’t agree more.
I honestly thought we would see a more fleshed out atmospheric re-entry experience like no man’s sky. Nope. Loading screen.
Taking off from the surface, getting to see the bright blues slowly turn to black, sprinkled with stars that fade in? Nope. Loading screen.
      Interplanetary travel? Nope, loading screen.
Only a handful of handcrafted locations. Everything else is generated. Which, would be ok if it were only rocky moons and primordial planets. Doesn’t really work when the same location gets generated over and over. My laughter out loud moment was finding research bases and yet another cryogenic outpost on Earth, of all places.
Moving forward, mods made the game a bit easier to play. That is, if you can find a stable mod load order on Xbox. I spent weeks on one, only to now have all of my hard work and persistence destroyed upon the release of Shattered Space.
Now I can’t edit my ship and exit the ship builder without it crashing to the dashboard. Of course, it seems I’m the only one having this issue. So I can’t get help. I’ve spent every night since the release trying to figure out what is going on. To absolutely no avail.
It’s a mod issue so Bethesda won’t help. It’s obviously an obscure issue that only I am having, so asking for help doesn’t work either.
Honestly, I’m fed up. The creations mods for Bethesda is getting ridiculous. There are a certain number of people flooding creations with low quality, low effort skins and selling them for money. Is no one overseeing any of this? Does anyone even care how this looks? This is who you want representing paid mods?
      Unbelievable.
What the hell happened to you, Bethesda?

Imagine you go shopping and try on a jacket in a store. You don't like it and hang it back, but then a worker shows up and complains about you not liking that jacket and how hard it was to make. It's ridiculous.

Imagine buying the car of your dreams; all the whistles and bells, self driving, dripping with computer screens and nav devices; an office on the road, whatever, only to be told the STEERING WHEEL is actually DLC and, “We’re still working on that.”!?!? The company would collapse overnight or scramble to get on every available outlet to let the public know it was a one off, “rogue,” incident and not going to happen to anyone else. “We fired the individual responsible,” etc.
But video games are getting worse by the day! In the discussion about hard copies versus downloads I used to repeat the slogan, “Own the games or the games will own you.” Now look! We DON’T, “own,” the games now, MUST be online to play them and they get ALL of your valuable data, which they can sell or lose at their own pleasure!
We just don’t fight hard enough collectively. And it starts with a, “Broken Windows,” approach in my view. People like Emil should be slammed for his remarks; shown how empirically WRONG he is in countless clap back videos and DM’s, ruthlessly mocked for his passive aggressive disdain for gamers and probably should be fired! We tolerate people talking down to us like naughty children, so they treat us like we’re not responsible enough to manage our own cash and data.
Honestly, I shouldn’t be so, “passionate,” about it, but this guy truly sickens me. He’s everything wrong with gaming CEO’s, writers, senior staff in general: Entitled, patronising, ignorant, bad at his job, and fundamentally WRONG as well as wrong headed.

Shattered Space may has the map size of Far Harbour... ... sorry, I'm out of positive comparisons with Fallout 4.
It's a DLC for/with House V'aruun and you're still forced to be the same boring dull morale-drunken goody-two-shoes, still mostly the same 'New York and San Francisco people in space' NPCs with the same 'just shoot me in the face' appeal as Disney's Star Wars characters, Andreja still competes in terms of world integration with Billy from the fridge, even less gameplay expanding items than the F4 workshop expansions, no unique ship parts (ffs!! what the heck??) and a few mostly re-skinned weapons and like 5 attires...
I paid around 80 bucks for main game and add-on, played about 470 hours total - so it was definitely worth my money (e.g. shipbuilding was a genuine blast). Though as a Skyrim and big(!) Fallout 4 fan, I really lost my faith in BGS to ever get a gritty murky gory mature long-term-captivating RPG again, with an open world letting you discover new locations and details and ways even after thousands of hours playtime. I lost hope for TES6, and especially all hope for Fallout 5.
But at the end I have something very positive to say about Starfield: it cranked my love for Fallout 4 on a 0-to-10 scale from 9.2 to 13.7 - mods not taken into account. That's something.

House Va'ruun did not deliver and did not feel believable. They just re-used old ideas. "You are the listener", "You are the chosen one" and a badly copied version of the houses of Dune. One of the main choices is to sacrifice yourself for the faction. If you do that you just get a white screen. No message. No epilogue. No nothing!!!! You are just looking at the screen confused, not believing what you see. How can they give you a choice for an important ending and then NOTHING HAPPENS !!!! I still can't believe they were too lazy to write one of the endings!!!!! 30 USD when the quality is this low is way too much.

Like how Bethesda hyped the civil war in Skyrim but clearly cut a vast majority of what they wanted to get into the game. That’s fine. I can fix Starfield. But they don't want me to. Here's what you do: You need a full continuous jet pack flight; without loosing boost or just a tall falling simulator. That's stupid. You need a radio full of alien like hype music. E.T. Katty Perry, Alien Ant Farm, Post Malone Ect. You need planets that are hand crafted, smaller and traversable without the YOU CAN'T GO THAT WAY nonsense. You need to Stop randomly generating only 3 different bases to assault the Mission Board Targets. Mix it up. You need at least 50 different unique weapons and same number of spacesuits. Star travel needs Giant warfare simulators where we fight not just 3 different ships in an infinity of empty space where you can't even exit your spaceship and spacewalk outside into deep space and just jet pack around like Superman flying through the cosmos without a stupid ship that is more of an obligation that you must sit in, rather than a useful house. You need thousands and thousands of ships that I can choose to hail and participate in the massive space wars in deeper jump systems is a desperate data removal intentionally designed by Emil. You should be ashamed. And After fighting the whole army's during the shallow space systems, you need giant octopus 🐙 Cthulhu monsters that you have to shoot of of high speed chasing and then engage with in target locking to shoot it's arms or tentacles to kill it. There a fun game. I can do it. Emil can't. Give me his house and money.

What is this "mix it up" thing you speak of?? I'm curious, I only play Bethesda games and I'm not familiar with branching quest lines or differing dialogue to make an appropriate response. I have unprecedented freedom to do whatever I want, and wherever I go and everything I choose doesn't make any difference in the world or the characters you meet, everyone in the world will keep the exact same response to your character outside of some random guard dialogue that keeps track of your bounties. Bc that is the thing with Bethesda, apparent secret magic is always present when it comes to tracking crime or some mailman delivery service, or a settlement that waits patiently to be attacked right at the same moment you arrive. How about going into that Nord crypt to discover that High Elf Windilious using Phantom potions to scare people away only t o take his notebook back to the Innkeeper and hear him exclaim, "what a fool I've been this whole time" _ Alright cool, I set this place straightWEEElll only to hear in the next second the Innkeep tell Lindley to " I want you to stay away from that place, I promised to keep you safe.." Dude?? What did I just give you, in fact you're still holding it in your hand... jus why....How can you make a game this nonsense????? 🤦‍♂🤦‍♂
All I know is Illusion of player choice and written or spoken lore that is referencing cool, places, characters, or things that aren't in the actual game. Exc-( Giant Blue Ghoul Whale that can sink ships? Granit Hill?? Morrowind had heaps of stuff I went exploring for bc Todd said a lot of hidden stuff you can look for by listening to NPCs conversations and the like. Well that's kinda true but mostly just a lot of talk that leads to nowhere. Those Oblivion pirates in the cove inside that cave under the castle that speaks of their huge hidden pile of treasure??? waste of time.. I only know of basic loot you can find and receive as rewards, The same exact weapons or armor mind you but with different random stats. Remember the legend of Red Eagle? So frikin cool to read that book and receive a secret quest only to turn out to be one of Bethesda's horribly generic ghosts with the reward being the same ugly rusty iron sword you can loot off of the hundreds of Draugr you've fought. Lol🤦‍♂️
Wow, Bethesda, no please never bother to change, I wouldn't want you to put in the work to make your games actually make any damn sense or feel exciting outside of the opening 20 minute outside World reveal. Keep making half baked quests with no real intentions of going back and retouching anything or adding in one or two different dialogues or real unique items as quest loot rewards. nahh, just keep having fun with your inside joke of a dozen types of cheese. Ahhh that never gets old and is where your priorities should stay kept.

Always nice to see a lone video popping up.
People like to give bethesda flack for the creation engine and call it outdated. I really think that if the writing was good everything else would click and we wouldnt have conversations such as these so frequently.
Take a game like BG3 (minor spoilers for act 3): The "evil" choices you can make in act 3 are mostly convenient ways - shortcuts - to achieve your end goal, while the "good" choices are the ones which involve careful planning to outsmart the villains without killing too many innocent people in the process, because at that point in the story you are on a proverbial leash. Its frankly weird how a d&d game out of all franchises handle this type of mature choice and consequence better than most other games in the market, specially considering d&d is often regarded as the entry level tabletop game for people that like hitting stuff. Thats the kind of scripts I daydream seeing in a bethesda game, because the framework the game is built upon could easily allow for that.

Liking Starfield base game but disliking Shattered Space makes 0 sense to me. Did you ran out of coping juice ? Because they're literally the same, in fact, Shattered Space is the most feature complete section in Starfield, it has a vehicle, bugfixes, and a hand-crafted world, BGS fans makes 0 sense, Shattered Space is literally the best Starfield has to offer. You are all are stuck at 12. It makes me mad listening to their nonsensical rethoric.
This is the game you deserve after years of reinforcing clown behaviour from Bethesda.

This UA-camr was literally a paid shill for Bethesda, He dropped his subs in a heartbeat to go be some community hype manager marketing shill for Bethesda in AU.
Once they fired him, he lone Wandered back to UA-cam to build off of Bethesda's fanbase and bet his channel heavily on their newest game. So he was all glowing and positive. Now after a year and these Bethesda grifters are seeing little to no return, they're all turning on Bethesda, even Juice and Matty. And they have built Mansions from sucking off Bethesda's dick Ofc NOW a year later this Lonely Vault Dude is all erm, uhh, ahh, ummm, yeeaahhaauuhhumm welp this is awkward, I dunno what's happened to me?? I always knew Starfield was going to be bad. Too much hype, especially surrounding the graphics, and too much development time. Those two things usually add up to a buggy mess, that's going to take years to fix. Now they've come out with a $30 expansion, that's only worth, maybe, $5. 4 hours of playable content, with nothing else new added to the game, feels like buying the horse armor for Oblivion. It's cool for about 30 seconds, until you realize it adds nothing to gameplay, only a reskin for your horse.

if you run on geforce now, run 250 mods, run the death mod which is hardcore, or hard save mod, try not to die, get immersed, improve the run speed add mobs to the game, you begin to understand that you can edit anything you dont like about the game, you can fly into the sky, fall, edit combat, call ship to you, all of it, and the game is a 96. Shat Space is but icing on the cake, just makes it even better; IF YOU PLAY THE GAME RIGHT.
If you try to play this game like skyrim you wont have fun, you NEED to immerse and mods are the only way you can do that. Achieves mean nothing, questline means nothing, fun is everything, modded hardcore starfield with 250 mods is some of the most fun ive ever had and def some of the best immersion ive ever experienced. In hardcore, earning caps? IS SO FUCKING FUN. This game went from a 68 buggy shitty hell to a almost 100, IF YOU PLAY IT RIGHT. Perfect frame rate with 250 mods and def do something that challenges you difficulty wise, and let it happen to you. We wont have Star CItizen for years were stuck with this. Its sufficient with mods and runs at 300 fps. Improve the run speed kill the fall damage get endless jetpack, go hardcore or hard save, game plays like rust actually, even the combat

I took my time and found quite a bit of great side content. There was some overly long and boring dialog in the main quest faily early on, but it improved as the story continued. After 30-35ish hours in the DLC, I liked it and would give it a 8/10. But that's me. I like RPGs. I was happy to slow down and listen to dialog because I've been playing some harder action games lately and needed something relaxing. I also have over 500 hours invested into Starfield now. Am I playing Starfield today? Nope lol. I'm done for a while. I Got my fix and moved on.
Oh, by the way. I actually quite liked "the duel". For me it was the turning point of the game. I love that old school Bethesda kind of mission where none of the outcomes are especially desireable. It made me smile.

For me, Shattered Space was Bethesda opportunity to show that they can turn things around. They clearly cannot. This is literally the best that they can do.
I'd pretty much done spending money on Bethesda. Certainly full price. Given how Emil's recent response on Twitter regarding Shattered Space feedback, there is absolutely zero hope of the studio improving without at least his removal from the company.
Expect more of the same middling content for future Starfield DLC and TES:VI.
