- Orang Utan Tjintha in Ouwehands Dierenpark Rhenen, delivered a beautifull baby on sunday 10th of March! And I went to visit her 3 days after giving birth. She prefers to sit under a blanket. But when she got some food, we saw a glims of her little one. How cute!? How Wonderfull?! I can not find the words to discribe it. enjoy!
P.S. you might be able to find out the gendre of the baby in this video ;).

These Orangutans make such a great example of parenting, that they could be used as trainers for human families today who are so dysfunctional. Watch the gorillas. From birth through teenage years. They’re great!! Thanks
Yes, I agree that Orangutan mothers are some of the best out there. I too can watch orangutan moms all dya. But in all fairness, life is quite a bit more complex for humans! It's a tougher job.

Absolutely the cutest little precious baby. Mom is going to protect it at all costs and raise the baby to be a healthy and strong Orangutan. She’s a good mom.

are my favorite « cousins » (so close to us : 97% of our DNA) I feel special attraction to them.
Their babies are so sweet and fragile and their marvelous mums are so patient and loving,
no one human being with a heart could resist to them.

This is so beautiful to see how loving this mother is to her baby. The way it should be, not dressing baby primates in clothes and keeping them as pets like some other videos show.
I agree. Any monkey🐾, so clever, friendly, loving and serious parent, need our respect, kindness and protection. But never, as a pet, wearing clothes like a doll or a "clown"! 😘On some videos. Not funny.It should be forbidden. They have their dignity. They must set free. 😍🐒

The mama orangutan looks as though she is in awe of just how such a perfect being could have fallen out of her body. Notice how she keeps checking out his face...the little perfect hands.even his bottom when he pees. Clearly, he has stolen her heart.
Tjintah is a wonderful mom! And by now we found out she has a baby girl named Minggu. And indeed Tjintah is a very lovely mum for Minggu!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, so many animals are such amazing parents. They know how to take care of their children better then humans do and we consider ourselves to be the most intelligent species walking earth.

Orangutans are my favorite primates, mothers are so caring and loving with their baby, unlike macaques, at best indifferent, at worst very mean with their baby

Hi Emma, thanks for your lovely comments. I do my best with the videos, nice to read you like it! Unfortunately I rarely have the sound of the animals. I cut the sound out because you can only hear people talking in the background. But if I ever have a good sound of the animals, I'll post it ofcourse ;).

I have for months been watching the Macaques of Cambodia, Angkor Wat or whatever it’s called plus those poor babies kept by self-called “Baby Monkey Rescuers”. Those animals can be & are quite abusive to their babies. I’m surprised a large animal like this girl, Orangutans, is so soft & gentle with their off-spring. You would think mum would not hurt a fly!!! And I’m not going to try & prove that!!!! 😳🤣😂🤣🦧🦧🦧🇦🇺👍🏻
How clever she is. To get the rest of the food from the bottom of the cup she simply tears off the top part...with one hand no less.

Do orange kiss normally or is this something they have learned from humans?
We see it as kissing but for them it's in the proces of keeping her baby clean just like 'fleeing' her baby. But it comes from the motherly love so thats a resemblance. ;)

It is obvious that infant orangutans are made tough and are flexible.
When Mama twisted Baby around so he would not pee on her, I cringed. Baby just continued doing what he was supposed to.
