I've always been more a fan of Tifa, but I can't deny it, Aerith's dress is fire in the remake. Btw, not sure if you know, but there's 3 different dresses Aerith could've worn.... but you finished all the quests that triggered her "best" dress! Nice!.

I never played the original, but FF7 Remake became my favorite game of all time. I fell in love with it from the moment I started playing, and Chapter 9 especially was such a magical part of the game!

bro i also played ff7 remake (and rebirth) for the first time this year, i had never played a final fantasy game before that and didnt know what to expect but i loved it and its my fav game series ever now i even went back and bought the og. its nice to see someone else experiencing the story for the first time.

The dance session was something that no one expected and blew everyone away, both OG fans and people new to FF7. Haven't seen stuff like this put into a game in a long long time. They took a risk and it paid off. A moment that will go down in gaming history.

Love your playthru so far. Re: Hell House, there were a couple of (nonobvious) misunderstandings of the fight, I'll explain them so hopefully it won't trip you up in the future.
1. The house changes elements. After you hit the fire house with Blizzard, it had a wispy white aura around it. That was its Ice mode, which meant you should have used fire at that time. But it's easy to miss, especially conpared to how "obvious" fire mode is.
2. It would occasionally enter into Wind and Lightning mode also; those 2 elements are opposites of each other (in FF), so you should use the appropriate magic when its in one of those modes. Especially in the 2nd and 3rd phase, it has 99 resistance to physical attacks so you MUST use the "opposite" magic to tske down the barrier.
But you did great hanging in there and pulling it out at the end! What a sick finish!
HellHouse definitely one of the highlights of the game for me. You got a serious story about fighting Shinra and then you get to fight a damn house 😂😂

22:21 Yeah, you got to use the Ability to gain proficiency. For the Nail Bat the ability you have to use for proficiency is Disorder.

Was waiting for that hell house fight. Been watching your battle progress, been since the first vid and I'm behind like always but if it didn't make you think about strategically playing materia on your members and give you a crash course on how to exploit weaknesses and such you got that crash course lesson now. That is the hardest fight to me. Now normal mode I don't remember if I died but I know hard mode that fight kicked me a few times. You have come a long way in battle you're not all the way there yet but you've made a heck of a lot of progress. Like that you assess although you forget it sometimes. You've gotten better at properly using the characters just remember even though you're further along. My last tip. If a weakness is fire whats better than 1 person having fire it's two members. Think with arcane ward that's 4 fire spells potentially against a weakness. That's why I harp on adding materia slots. You're way past me now but will continue to see you tackle this loving the playthrough man and absolutely should do intermission and rebirth. Gj so far. I'm ready for the next one. Sorry I can get long winded in these messages 😅
its always funny how most people playing this game roll around endlessly like this is dark souls when guarding is insanely useful. Reduces damage taken, builds your ATB, allows you to get hit without getting staggered yourself, in Cloud's punisher mode its a counter-attack for melee attacks
I really enjoy the parry system and how you can make your blocking 10x stronger with materia

I felt the same seeing Cloud in a dress, it felt so wrong yet I couldn't help but laugh xD Also I recommend you using arcane ward on Aerith a lot since if you cast magic in it, it will be cast twice! Its super op in fights.

Aye happy the daily uploads are back. By the way when you get the opportunity definitely go back to the colosseum and do the battles for each character cause you'll be able to unlock their level 2 limit breaks and those ones are crazy powerful whenever you get limit in battle, you'll love them!

Hell House is the kind of fight that should encourage investing in multiples of the same element materia. Poison would've helped a bit. Definitely should've stuck around and got a new limit break for Aerith

Im not positive, but I think you may have overlooked the fact that some of the optional Colliseum fights (Wall Market) reward you with new Limit Breaks. Ascension, for example, is for Cloud.

1:19:25 You got so lucky! So the secret of the hell house is you have to attack it with the right magic. If it’s Red then you need to use Ice cause that’s its weakness. If it’s Blue then you attack it with Fire. And then so on.. but you did good! It took me forever on my first try because I had no idea that’s what needed to be done 😂
