As a retired bodybuilder let me tell you the hardest part is eating and cost of eating. If your not competing or have the money I'd advise you to just stay fit.

If I ate like they did I would be on the shitter nonstop.
I can only do meat a few times a week, with legumes, low fat greek yogurt, and some whey occasionally to get protein in.
I seriously don't see how people can eat all the eggs, and beef and shit and not be shitting non stop because that's exactly what it does to me. Gives me terrible gas and I go from shitting twice a day to four-five times a day. When you're busy you can't be shitting that much.

I see so many youngesters hanging out at the gym and even some elders trying to perform the best exercises in the gym but years later they are still looking exactly the same, they then approach you and ask you ''how do you get like that"? Well what can you say just one word "FOOD" they just don't get it, you have to damn eat, there is no short cuts. You can take all steroids you want, try the best supplements, the best exercises but if you don't eat then you will not grow or make any progress in any of your goals.
So true. Training is the fun part. Food is homework.

Eating like this ONLY happens when you are on a bulking cycle. Steroids shorten/speeds muscle recovery. The protein is there to feed the muscles that you "micro-tear" from an intense workout. A lifter no matter how serious can not eat like this and stay trim without "chemical inspiration." There is balance in everything we do.

At 62, I still like to lift weights and have recently started being more dedicated to lifting regularly. However, taken to these extremes like on this video, it is a sickness comparable to other side of the coin and that being anorexia. Crazy
I mean, respectfully, this level of intensity isn’t for you at your age. Lifting weights is essential, especially for seniors to maintain strength, muscle mass, good bone density, decreasing risk of arthritis, and to avoid fractures and falls. But in order to become mass monsters like these young guys, you have to lift big, eat big, and sleep big.
I’m sure you’ve got that last part down pat, but the former two are more suited for someone at least 20 years younger. But definitely keep lifting and get those gains. Resistance training has been shown to increase lifespan by reducing all-cause mortality by 46%, with just two days of training per week 💪🏾
@@Chris_T_3rd_Ward_504 My point that maybe I didn't state clearly enough is that this sport is supposed to be about looking healthy and strong but it is now married to how many drugs can be put in one's body to achieve this temporary bigger is better craziness. I'm having trouble to recover from workout .
I have to de-load a lot to keep my recovery good. I’m a National though. I’ve just got the hang of it i was killing my Nervous system I’ve got the mind/drive of someone on roids it’s just the way I am. I have to make myself stop I’ll destroy myself I’ll start waking up with Huge adrenaline jacked out of my mind as soon as I come to waking up in the morning, moody, stressed, Way to alert just Adrenaline-Jacked out of my mind mainly from Squatting way too much and way too many reps I’ve finally got Balanced out again and I make sure I D load sometimes a full week.
These guts weigh too ....much!!!
