    It’s so fascinating to see the plants these oils come from... thank you for sharing this info

      We agree it is fascinating to see the plants, flowers, and trees that eventually become essential oils.

    Thank you Andrea,
    I have a persistent rash on my elbow and lower back. I'm going to use this blend in some emulsifying ointment and give it a go 😊

    How do you recommend applying this blend to the toenails? I've heard some people using a roller bottle but I don't see the blend fully coating the nail that way, especially thick fungal ones. Also, how do you feel about using Oregano EO for toenail fungus, at a VERY low dilution of course? Just yesterday I had a nail that has fungus then got swollen with a possible ingrown nail but I couldn't see it. Anyway, I soaked my feet in lavender scented Epsom's salt and put 2 drops of Tea Tree oil into the salts. Made sure it mixed with the salts before dumping it into the soak. It worked wonders, softened the nail so I could work with it, swelling is gone, no more pain!!

      Hi Jessie! We would suggest applying to the area with a fresh q-tip each time. Perfect to soak your feet first!

    Thanks for the recipe. Can we use this blend for fungal infections on other parts of the skin such as shoulder and hand? Many thanks in advance.

    I wish I could like tea tree...I do. I dont like tea tree or cinnamon, but i will keep it in my stock for minimal use in recipes.

      Aroma can be such a personal preference. It's great that you keep these oils in you stock, as sometimes it can be nice to try them tucked into different blends. 💜

    Hi Andrea, My daughter has been breaking out around her chin and is having a hard time finding something that actually helps in treating it. . Since I saw this about a week ago, she has been adding a drop of tea tree oil to a tiny bit of aloe each time she spot treats her acne, but I would rather prepare a little in advance in a small 5 ml bottle or small container. How much of each ingredient should I use?

    • @aromatherapyoils
      @aromatherapyoils  5 років тому

      Hi Debra! You can put 18 drops of Tea Tree essential oil in 1 oz (28 g) of aloe vera gel (Aloe barbadensis) and 3 ml of Solubol dispersant, and use it as a spot treatment.

    Do you recommend storing your Aloe gel in the fridge, or what is the shelf life outside of fridge? I keep my oils in my Apothecary cabinet which has amber glass doors in my office where it’s nice and cool.

      Penny, storing Aloe based blends in the fridge can help to extend the life of the blend and it does have a lovely cooling effect. Since aloe vera is water-based, I do suggest making a fresh bottle of this every few weeks.

    @andrea, do you have a recipe for varicose veins??? Thank you.

    • @aromatherapyoils
      @aromatherapyoils  5 років тому +1

      Rhoda I’ve had great luck using Cypress in blends for varicose veins!
      You could try a blend of:
      1 oz (30 ml) unscented cream
      10 drops Cypress (Cupressus sempervirens)
      5 drops Lemon (Citrus limon)
      3 drops Rosemary ct. camphor (Rosmarinus officinalis ct. camphor)

    Andrea I know you said you can put tea tree in Aloe Vera and spot treat ache and not put all over face, but can you put it all over your face if you have lots of ache or is there a better treatment?

    • @aromatherapyoils

      Hi April!
      With acne the first thing I would recommend is to stop using soap on your face and start using a natural cleanser. I have an awesome recipe for an Aloe Avocado Soap-Free Face Wash. I recently wrote a blog post about this soap free cleanser and you'll find the recipe here: blog.aromahead.com/2014/10/13/aloe-avocado-soap-free-face-wash
      Next, I would recommend using German Chamomile hydrosol several times a day and spot treat with the Calming Acne blend. It will take some time, try this and give it several weeks. Let me know how this works. :)
