This car is one reason I own a ‘69 427/390 4sp! My Dads cousin worked for NASA (not an astronaut, engineer) and he used to drive a Silver one from FL to Maine. I’ll never forget that silver ‘69 pulling into the driveway. Took me until 55 to get one but I got it! Mr. Reed your are the coolest! To see that in ‘71 and know! Best Corvette story ever! Thanks Hagerty!

Apollo 12 was my favorite Apollo mission. Three buddies going to moon, rocking to "Sugar, Sugar" in zero gravity. Cheers.

I am glad you got the Corvette because it it a piece of history and one of them is setting in NASA in Florida it the museum you can see the corvette there it's the same color as your Corvette

What's hilarious the Soviets did something similar! No the Cosmonauts didnot get a Corvette, they got a Gelgule! A step up above a Lada! Not a very exciting car! But it was transportation!

I have a Riverside Gold 1969:Corvette convertible is the absolutely UGLIEST Corvettes made.
That belt buckle thooo let us not forget how Alan Bean destroyed the color tv camera for his moon landing and then after apollo 13 no one cared about lunar landings I blame bean for that lack of interest and funding ironic the only guy to walk on the moon as an artist and spent his whole life painting the lunar surface was the same guy who robbed all of human history the first ever color tv footage of the lunar surface
