Great to have the old photographs as well, really added to the then and now aspect, and to hear about another wartime cover up really makes you wonder how many of these actually happened, and are any still hidden?

It's just not accessible for most of the year. I've walked down there several times from the White Horse Hill in Westbury. Love it.
The village has lost its meaning and I always find it a sad place !
I've hiked there many times from warminster. Spent a few hours sheltering from the rain in one of the houses on christmas day a few years back. My dad told me about the friendly fire incident with the hurricane. 😧
