For the HORDE. Always been since I started playing. I still played Alliance also. Listen to Booty Bay Tavern music or alliance tavern music while you do one quest for an hour. It helps to keep you going.
Great intro to the game! Most of these types of videos assume a decent amount of knowledge about WoW, and/or are quite lengthy or not well-produced. This is a solid package in 13 minutes. Recommend to any new players.

I rarely even leave comments, but thought to myself that maybe you'll get a little push to keep you going from positive feedback :) When I was a teen, I didn't really have much money and my parents didn't like the idea of a subscription based game, so I never got to experience the game during the launch. Can't wait to finally get in on all the action I missed.
I never played WoW before Cata, and played it seriously only since Legion. Though after watching a lot of your videos about Classic, I feel like this is what I have been looking for in an MMORPG, I hope that's gonna be the case, great videos! :)
As a hunter on Light's hope, I'd reccomend getting Eagle eye it's a lot more useful than people think. Super handy for finding stuff in the open world and tracking rare spawns or quest mobs. You can stand guard in one place and keep an eye out for every surrounding spawn, like thsoe generals in Northwatch Hold. You really see the difference when there's a lot of people competing for them. Also super fun and handy for ganking alliance in Ashenvale, there's nowhere to hide :)

I do actually invest in Track Beasts because it oftentimes saves my ass when I want to play the avoidance game haha. Also helps with finding mobs fast for farming, rares to tame, and quickly finishing up beast-related quests. That's just my take on it tho :)
Huh, as a TBC kid I thought meeting stones on elysium were broken, but now I had to read their entire patch history and it's quite fascinating! Can't believe they worked basically as WotLK's automatic LFG in patch 1.5
I did learn a lot from this video! Mainly that after almost 15 years playing this game, there isn't anything new for me to learn about this game. (But seriously now, great video man! thumbs up!)
Gotta love that bias of "Pick the Alliance" lmao... thats the PVP spirit. Now with that said, HORDE IS LEGIT!!!! Also, Shamans can Off-tank pretty well, so as he explained more on Paladin then Shaman, it does a disservice to the Shaman.
6:15 Track Beast cost like 10 copper because you learn it around lvl 4 and it is useful for skinners for example or if you are looking for pets to tame. But the tracks that come later like track undead or giants are really unnecessary unless you have so much gold, you don't know what to spend it on anymore.
I played for years as a human pally during vanilla. Still though, there is a HUGE difference between "Yea, I remember that" vs "I'm going to be proactive about this thing I'm aware of".. so it's always nice to be reminded of some quirks of vanilla which I had forgotten
I honestly think that's the best way if you want to recreate the experience of all us OG WoW players. We knew nothing about what we were doing or where we were going. We just knew we loved it.
Getbosse I made it to Goldshire and couldn’t find the mine so I gave up lmao. Will try again after work so far it’s pretty cool though and I know early game is pretty lackluster in combat so I’m not judging yet

Also, re: 6:35 ("make sure you're replacing your abilities on your action bar" part), there is a way to make it basically happen automatically. Simply create a new macro and enter: #showtooltip spellName /cast spellName Replace "spellName" with the spell/ability you want to use WITHOUT specifying a rank. That macro will always cast the highest rank currently learned (and show you its tooltip), so you will never forget to replace that ability when it gets a new rank. I also personally like to put /dismount before the /cast part, so that you automatically dismount when you try to use it, which can be genuinely life-saving on PvP servers and other dangerous environments. Super simple macros, but they can be super convenient when leveling. And of course, [mod:] can be used if you ever want to cast a downranked version.
Now, I love MadSeasonShow, like a lot, but I think that Platinum WoW is the absolute best Classic WoW UA-camr out there. You put a nearly unnecessary amount of effort into each video, and it shows. You have made a big fan out of me, Platinum. I tell all my WoW buddies about you too. Best of luck out there... even though you are a filthy Alliance player...
I'd definitely get track beasts and humanoids tho, pretty helpful for quests and pvp especially if it's a high demand mob with low spawns. Plus you get them pretty early so they're relatively cheap.
Hype! Not sure I like the advice (not just from you) to only train abilities you think are super useful though. Part of the experience of leveling in classic is having a wide toolkit of shit you don't need to play around with, and learn your class with everything it has to offer.

It's just completely different. All hand holding and such. When the game moved slower you actually have to take a look around at the world around you and that was such an amazing experience. The world seemed massive without the ability to move quickly from one place to the next. You were always on an adventure.
"PVP is the full classic experience." Debatable. World PVP happens on PVE servers, just PVE servers aren't forced into getting ganked by someone 40 levels above you....or by groups of 5 people levelling together.
Didn't need any of this but you said please watch so I watched lol. Good video. Also for hunters. Make sure to complete your follow up lvl 10 quest to learn how to train your pets skills...that seems to get missed often enough.

Love the video! Great content, however one thing I would change about it is make sure you're leveling fishing and cooking as you go along. You can make a lot of money from both if you use them correctly. Certain meats can be cooked and sold to a vendor for triple their value. CLASSIC IN 2 DAYS!

I went to Classic because it’s not obsessed with PVP (Hate it with a passion) balance. It PVP and making classes balanced utterly destroys emersion. That and in reality or fantasy it’s not realistic. However each class should have distinct advantages in specific environments. I’m hoping for something like Classic plus down the road. I solo so while I’m not against making friends I’m not particularly looking for them either. I’ll always be willing to help someone however.

You can just shift right click on the quests name in the quest log and it will show up on the top right corner
