Bruh Spurs already got the biggest best defender in the league, what they need is to surround him with good players that complement his game
@louisf2654 Wemby and Sochan can't carry the defense by themselves. We saw this past season, teams would rain 3s on us even when we had the rim on lockdown.

I think my favorite (and most realistic) draft combo this year is getting Castle or Buzelis at 4 and then Dillingham at 8. For the offseason as a whole I am a big fan of trading for Garland and drafting a wing at 4, but even being in this highly flexible situation is a blessing and I trust the front office to do whats best for us long term

Assuming Risacer isn’t available I wanna take a swing on buzelis at 4. If he reaches his ceiling that’s an intriguing shot creating, secondary playmaking European who can stroke it from deep. That would be an very interesting pairing with Wemby and you know what they say go European
I hope the Spurs go big and grab Buzelis at #4 and Salaun #8. Next year with 4 possible first round picks, wait for Nolan Traore or Dylan Harper or even Hugo Gonzalez for our point guard of the future.

Why would SAS need another non-shooting guard in the roster? Is Sochan, Zach Collins, Tre Young not enough?
Can you imagine the leverage Reed Sheppard will bring offensively? That is taking away one defender from Wemby! That would be great!
And Reed Sheppard is not a defensive liability. He is better than Tre Jones.
He should be the number 4 pick if Sarr and Risacher are not available.
They should get both Castle and Topic

Not sold on Topic. Very concerned about his knee. But if the Spurs team, who knows way more about the details than I do, signs off on it then I'm good with that draft.
There are more rumors coming out that Darius Garland may be traded from Cleveland. If you were spurs front office would you be more inclined to trade picks and salary to get Garland more than go after D. Murray or Trae young? I would be more interested in garland. I would event trade this year’s two first rounders for him. I think he would fit very well on the spurs.
Risacher should be the n°1 target for the spurs
I couldn’t agree more getting Risacher is a must for the Spurs. I’m just worried that he’s not gonna fall all the way down to 4. But we could always trade up for Risacher

He’s a stand in the corner player. The Spurs (I am a spurs fan) will be ever so lucky if someone takes him before us.
I honestly think we will dodge a bullet if somebody else takes Risacher above us. He seems so limited. He's a player I'd love to have - but not at #4.

Risacher will go early so Castle at #4 and Clingan at #8.

Zach Eddie is better in every way than Donovan Clingan and it isn't even close. Eddy is bigger, longer, stronger, quicker, faster, a better outside shot, a better free throw shooter, has better hands, is a better passer , etcetera. He did win the national collegiate player of the year 2 years running over everybody, including Clingan. If they are thinking of drafting Donovan, it would be much better if they drafted Zach.

If you draft castle and thinking of moving him to wing at times then your back to square one Keldon Johnson all over again. I don’t see it.
Castle has more playmaking at a wing than Keldon. Also there’s more defensive upside as well. I don’t see how Keldon and Castle are comparable players except for height.

That would be good if they can. There’s big point guards in this league and some can’t even shoot. He can. I think he would do better than Sochan because defenders don’t respect Sochan’s shooting. But someone like Dalton he would attract attention and so would Vassell. That would leave Wemby with a lot of freedom to do what he wants. Reed Shepard can do the same thing but he’s smaller. I wouldn’t mind if they got Dalton but also Shepard if he’s available. Then move up in the late lottery with those 2 second round picks plus asset or future second round picks to snag Salaun.

Which is why every reputable draft has him well below Clingan? Nothing personal, but I'll trust folks like Givony, Parish and Vecenie than some guy on the internet UA-cam comments every time.
