Honestly such great hotels at an amazing price! The only thing I would want changed is to have the option to choose your bedrooms as some get really nice views and other rooms not so much. I’d happily pay a little extra for the rooms too!
Most hotels you can contact them beforehand and request a particular room. I've done it with a Hub by Premier Inn in Edinburgh and requested a room with a view of the castle.
Yes £185 for a hotel in Basildon where the TV does not work and no internet service! The price certainly is amazing, I will bring my tent nest time, I can listen to the radio in that!
Lenny Henry I remember seeing you from a car park roof, you looked small, until I went to the 5th floor when you got big, I remember you on the New Faces waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back in the seventies, and then the Fosters, then OTT with the Chris Tarrant, with your OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKay. And Katanga. Then you moved on to greater things, including this advert for The Premier Inn, and there you were booking in to the Malmaison in Liverpool.
Well, the one at Basildon, apparently does not have WIFI , and the TV also not working. The cost of this delightful stay was £185.00. Cannot get hold of a customer services agent and apparently they can take up to 40 days to respond to complaints. No TV all night, No WiFi and a Harvester Restaurant next door that cover a Ribeye steak into a leather boot sole! It took me 40 seconds to decide that I will not stay at a Premier In again after this episode (2nd April 2024) I am beginning to wonder if it is actually April fools day! Never again will I use this Hotel chain!
I used to use Premier Inn for an overnight stay before flying out of the UK the next morning, and considered them value for money, costing something in the region of £35 to £45. I know that prices are rising, and they can also fluctuate depending the date you require, but when i recently looked up a date it was £125. Thinking it might be a special day, that I knew nothing about, I then went in at random and whatever date I chose it quoted in the region of £90-£125, and that's without breakfast! Furthermore as others have pointed out, if for whatever reason you need to cancel a booking, this option just does not appear,! You can only choose to amend! On top of this, if you choose to phone either the inn you are staying at, or the main Customer Services Number, you will spend ages getting nowhere! You will be repeatedly met by a message that they are receiving a high value of calls and are not able to speak to you. They are either understaffed or they just do not want to be contacted! They seriously need to get their act together! I doubt whether I will ever do business with them again!
The only reason a cancel option wouldn't appear is because you've chosen a rate that doesn't allow cancellations.......... Also, I've contacted hotels via email, or on Facebook.
Legends say Lenny is still staying at the premier inn this day
I doubt it!
Yeh I love premier in. I won’t stay anywhere else. Rooms are so clean, and staff so helpful

Personally the view doesn't bother me just a great room will do .Unless your stopping for 2 weeks!
