I just came across these videos this past week and have been enjoying watching how you handle every situation. It's inspiring to watch and to learn from a veteran like you especially since I'm pursuing a career in Law Enforcement starting next month. Keep up the great work and thank you for your service! Stay safe and God Bless!

bad decision. He should have at least got a ticket for running the red light or child seat..u got money to buy weed then you got money to buy a child seat.

He took that gentleman's current situation and decided to give him a warning and not make his situation worst. What an officer! He knew what would work with different people. Salute!
These are the kind of officers we need more of. He was forgiving towards the guy who ran the red because he looks like a man going through some financial hardships. You can tell officer Newton is a vigilant guy, hand on his pistol, carefully scanning the guy's car, makes sure the wife and kids are alright. Then he handles the situation respectfully as the guy was listening to his orders and answered his questions. Officer Newton is a role model for everyone, not just to police. Awesome police officer. Talking and treating people with respect, integrity and being down to earth. Police officer Ryan knew the last thing that guy needed was a $700 ticket to set him back. Hopefully that guy takes this blessing and stops running red lights but more importantly puts his child in a safety seat. Great work.
As an officer with children a wife and family. I can see why he made this more of a learning lesson for this Individual. Much respect to this officer for keeping his composure. Great work Tustin P.D!

This is a really cool series and I'm enjoying it immensely. I spent just under 30 years working in public safety, both for the fire department when I was young and then moving over into law enforcement. This officer has a lot of fantastic qualities that does his department and the profession proud, that is for sure. One thing he has to be careful about is having his hand on his weapon for quite a while when he walked up and made initial contact with the driver of that white 4-door in the motel parking lot. The 9th Circuit has ruled multiple times that even though he's a law enforcement officer, that's actually a violation of the law and could be considered brandishing. If he has to draw his sidearm and point it at somebody that's all well and good, but to have your hand resting on it is simply not allowed in Cali and hasn't been for quite a while. Having said that, I totally understand his thinking and why he does it probably subconsciously. I worked a lot of nights in my day, and I can't tell you how many hundreds of T-stops I made where I actually walked up to the vehicles with flashlight in my left hand, and first my Smith & Wesson Model 686 .357 (that's how old I am, lol), and then later on my Sig Sauer P226 in my right hand shielded behind my leg. Of course most of the time things work out just fine, but several times when I saw something in the vehicle that ramped up the call real fast I had the drop on them before they even knew what was going on. I had several individuals tell me later that they could not believe how fast I drew my weapon and had them covered with it. I declined to tell them any further information other than simply stating that I trained a lot and was pretty quick.. Good stuff and great memories. I must say Tustin seems like a fantastic place to work in law enforcement. Safe wishes to all LEOs.....
Please keep this up and make it a real life tv series… I’m not sure if ya know but people really love watching stuff like this… also just good for many other reasons… but yes very entertaining 💯

Officer Ryan is a terrific human being--a solid police officer, kind, friendly, knowledgeable, and loves his family. Plus, he’s movie-star beautiful.
Yes, he’s great and very handsome! Everything an officer should be!❤
It's very nice to see the young people interact so positively with this Officer. He shows them respect and they return it.
I don't know about him being respectful, the way he ordered that driver to put his hands on the steering wheel without saying please says otherwise
what about when he gives them a ticket and takes their money?
