I’m in highschool getting my fire and hazmat certificates to join a department once I’m out and I just want to say how helpful these videos are. To be able to see a glimpse of the routines and habits, the expectations at the firehouse and training is great. Also most videos like these are only 10 minutes or so but this being 40 is awesome. Keep it up and stay safe.
Thanks for being open and available. Great ambassadors for professional firefighters. I retired from a small City as Risk Manager with a Fire Rescue Department. Great respect for you all.
Enjoy the channel man & appreciate your service! Many past & current fire service members in my family. Suggestion on the pulled pork, we do pulled pork quite often for get together or big race weekends at the drag strip. We take and mix some sauce in the pork after pulling it. Make the sandwiches up and wrap them in the premade foil wrap sandwich size sheets. It’s nice because you can heat them up easily in oven or on traeger for a midnight snack or whenever dinner is ready. Add your toppings, extra sauce, or just grab/go! Never had a complaint! Thanks again guys, stay safe out there
to the firefighter with the gloves on, you should use apple cider vinegar or apple juice in general to soak the pork in. That's what I do and the best smoker for you is look up Lang smoker. It's a woodfired smoker. It's very easy to use and you can make cake on it as well. I did cake for a cookout as well. It doesn't come out smoky at all or you can get a big green egg, another very nice smoker as well and you can set it and forget it. You can set it at a certain temperature and let it go. That's what I do. I sold my Lang and bought a big green egg and decision ever because my smoker was behind a pick up truck.
FDNY does that too. Every time they see a child with a helmet, they give them a coupon for a happy meal. For kids 13 and under (if I recall correctly).
I love looking at these types of videos ,it's show how much yard do everyday as a firefighter save people loves people or animals to good luck and happy Halloween and God bless 🙏❤❤😊😊😊
How ironic. Singing “Route 66” while at the ambulance. That song was written by, Bobby Troupe. Who also played Dr Early on the tv show Emergency. Pretty much the show that was the birth of EMS, as we know it.
First video came across this channel looking for training videos to help my buddy that’s new to the fire service. New subscriber now keep up the good work.
very nice to see UA-cam videos used for After the call review and training . Lots to add and go with video on scene be You Tube or priate Fire officials doing . Thank you !
8:35 The person who thought it would be a good idea to invent self-checkouts to pretty much every store in the world to make shopping harder for people should be sentenced to life in prison 😆 In all seriousness, seeing day in the life videos like this makes me feel proud of how we (and the world) get to have people with jons like this 😊
THANKS FOR KEEPING IT REAL. I AM 100% CERTAIN THAT NON- FICTION IS WAY WORSE THAN FICTION .SEE IM GETTING SMARTER EVERY DAY FOR NOW... SEE YA FELLAS...............
Thanks for all that you guys do for the public. What time was that DUI blood draw at? Seemed to be pretty early in the day, hopefully they can get some help before they end up hurting themselves or others.
I can’t help but notice that the fire station has regular commercial fire alarms on the wall. So what happens when the fire alarm goes off at the fire station?
HA!! Im recovering right from a broken clavicle after wrecking on an ebike I was on my Talaria Sting MX4 when i wrecked out going about 26mph. Full trauma active & C-spine cation
All this fun makes me want to join the fire department even more! Here is why I want to join the fire department. So I was a baby and my mom was changing my diaper, and then I passed out and she panicked and called 911. The first ones to arrive was the fire department. They helped alot and the paramedics arrived. I am thankful for being alive to this day. Awesome video though!
Valley Engine 1 has responded to 2984 calls this year, 499 of those calls have been non-EMS calls. We are an all hazards agency. most of our apparatus are staffed as ALS units. So, yes, a huge portion of what we do is EMS.
Nice! Always wondered what the day in the life of a firefighter around the US would look like. Now just out of curiosity, do some medical emergencies require bunker gear or just bunker pants? I’ve seen some medical before where they have full bunker gear or just the bunker pants on. My department usually goes without the bunker gear and stuff but is it different all around the US and Canada?
Not often, on medical calls, will you see our crews in bunker gear. Bunkers are primarily for fire calls and vehicle accidents. occasionally medical calls can be on roadways and the crews will respond in bunker gear with high vis vests.
@@SpokaneValleyFire Ok, that makes sense and thanks! My county (9 independent districts rather than one whole department) will run with bunk pants and high vis vest for medicals on roadways or near roads just for safety.
usually its because they are coming from a call that required turnout gear and simply did not take it off or they are wearing gym shorts underneath and opted not to strip down and then put their station uniform on.
Me: oh shoot, let me get out-of-the-way! Serious fire fighters in route!
Fire fighters: 🎶 get you freak on…get your freak on!🎶 🕺

im waiting on full blown winter episodes, and the sheer amount of chaos the valley and DT gets haha, stay safe dudes!
they'll be here before you know it!

It was pretty early on in the shift. Anytime is a bad time for a DUI to be fair. Thanks for watching!
The aux was on point during the workout session
Modern day engine life is 70% canceled calls, 10% AFA's and the rest might actually be something.
More from them only!!
Is the curly head guy single? Thank you for your hard work and service.
Great Crew!
I have a fire dept RP group what calls should we run next shift and what units should respond(ex-fall-engine,ambulance)great video!
Toe Pain, Ambulance, Engine, Ladder, Rescue
I can’t help but notice that the fire station has regular commercial fire alarms on the wall. So what happens when the fire alarm goes off at the fire station?
A very quick response time.
Where are men like this at my station
invest in a camera stabilizer pls🙏🙏
its always great seeing you guy's and the EMS guys out and about when i come up from Lewiston to Spokane
Can you fix the audio, it very werid with headsets. And maybe film a bit higer up insted of filming their pants.

Why doesn’t PD take the blood draw to the hospital?
Station 1 was closer and had the capability to get them right in to accomplish the task.
No wonder you have 3600 runs a yr . Your biggest percentage of calls are ems calls . Deduct the ems calls and what’s your amount of calls per year ?
Exactly

That's not how that works at all.
They leave the door 3600 times a year. What does it matter if they are ems or not? Busy is busy
Brother 3600 runs is 3600 runs ems is still calls still means they are busy. Take away ems calls? Do you think fire and ems just means fire calls?
I would like to recommend DAVID DECKER on youtube for like training videos

It depends here where I'm at in the US firefighters don't really where are there bunker gear to a medical aid but sometimes they do
@ Majority or 100% of time in Florida bunkers aren’t required for medicals or it seldomly happens.

I am shocked by the driver dancing in his seat and not paying full attention to his driving, sad i hope that doesnt come back to bite him in the butt
Camera man is a firefighter?
No, Camera man works in the Community Affairs Department as a Multi Media Specialist but was a volunteer firefighter.
